I stopped in yesterday out of curiosity. Guess has become increasingly wack since the mid 2000s and I was curious as to why they have the entrance cordoned off. As I approached the entrance, I was greeted by security and was granted entry. Aesthetically, the interior is surprisingly pleasing to the eye. The store is well kept and organized but it smelled like a box crayons. I think it's due to the materials used to make the clothing items. Lots of elastic and rayon. The "jeans" were thin and had lots of stretch to them. Cheap. My preference is 100% cotton for jeans. I have guess clothing from the early 1990s that I still wear today. 100% cotton and made in the USA. The quality is better than anything being made by Guess in 2025. Overall, today's Guess isn't for me. I can see teenagers shopping there. Today's Guess gives Forever21 meets Rave, Contempo and ClothesTime. Store security was nice and professional. read more

They have the entrance blocked off and had us wait outside, only to tell us they're no longer taking anyone in for the day. It literally just opened and there are only 2-3 other customers inside. Zero explanations. But I'm guessing we don't fit the right criteria of the customers they serve. They're very discriminatory. It for sure left a bad taste in my mouth. If I can give a zeo or negative review, I would. I came in to return shoes that I purchased online. After everything was completed, I was told that I will receive an email for the return. But I didn't receive one. So I waited in the store to receive it online. But the lady who helped me was super rude. She told me that I have to leave the store ASAP or she will be calling the police. I asked her for the receipt for return in paper form since I didn't receive any email. She said she has no way to do so, I can take a picture of her digital device for the return. I told her I rather wait for it to post on my email. I was out of other people's way and didn't do anything other than using my phone. She started screaming at me and called police and told them that I am being difficult when I was just quietly waiting for the digital receipt. I will never come back to this store. Came to the store on July 3rd around 1:30pm and the manager who is plus sized, wearing eyeglasses with the tips of her hair dyed wearing a ponytail is EXTREMELY rude and VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Asked her to open a dressing room as she opened the dressing room for another customer and she said only one dressing room is available so I patiently waited. After a few minutes, she opened another dressing room for a different customer so I asked why she opened that one and made me wait and she was just rude about it saying the other customer only has 1 item and I have multiple items so the other customer can go first. How is that right? To think she is a manager, she cant even give proper etiquette to the customers. I feel bad for the owner of this location, they chose the wrong manager. They should fire her because she doesn't deserve that position. They should pick someone who can give proper customer service. Already made a complaint to corporate and spoke with someone regarding this matter. I will escalate and I won't let this pass. I'm leaving this review for other customers to be aware about this location, specifically the manager. Don't come to this location. I left everything I was supposed to try on and walked out of the store, definitely not going to give them my money. Never coming back and will definitely tell my family and friends not to come to this store. Walked in and noticed it was empty however i still needed to buy a gift. I needed gift ideas but seem like the employees working today didn't want to assist. Some lady was looking down like she was doing some type of work schedule. I saw some boots as soon as i walked in n saw that it was on sale since the boots where next to the sign. I went to pay and it rang up as displayed not on sale. So i asked the nice guy ringing me up to double check. He asked the lady doing schedules. Very uninterested to help. Didn't want to give discount or explain why it said on sale and it wasn't. Don't think I'll come here again. Very bad customer service. Be professional when customers walk in you greet them and stop looking down. Nobody wants to know that you are unhappy and that schedules suck. Be more organized. read more

I can clearly see why this store has a two star rating. For the most part, I exclusively where GUESS and GUCCI watches, as I love their sparkle and flare. Upon entering the store, my two teenage daughters, and I were greeted. I felt an attitudinal undertone, but it was late, so I chalked it up to the associates being tired and trying to wrap up the closing tasks. As I browsed with my girls for all of 5 minutes, I asked where the watches were located, as I had called the store prior to visiting because I wanted to be certain they had gold watches before I drove the distance. Mind you, the greeting was already subpar and felt disingenuous. But hey, who cares?! I'm just coming in for a watch; still moving on with my life. We browsed at a few things then I asked an associate where the watches were located- she then guided me to them with an annoyed energy. I didn't like that, but I moved on. We finally arrived at the watches and the manager, Maribel, informed me that she would help, if needed. Cool. I asked her for her help, and she proceeded to open the display case as I asked, but was giving me looks and energy/signs like I was up to no good or something. GIRL- ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Originally, I chalked it to them getting ready for closing, but that was in a whole hour. Then, as I engaged her, she was short and 'nicety' (nice/nasty), and guarded those little GUESS watches like they were golden bricks. At this point, I began drawing slightly offended. Are you serious right now? Girl, please. I'm thinking, this is what I get for shopping in a Factory store located in San Leandro. I should have gone to Macy's it Nordstrom's. This clearly a heavily populated shopping space w/ blacks, so we're often treated less than. I began feeling some racial tension. I grew more frustrated. I finally made a decision about the watch. Went to purchase the watch, where another associate came to ring me up. At this point, the associate asked me for my ID. I presented it then inquired why she asked for my ID for debit. She said that she asked me if I wanted debit or credit. And said I wanted credit, which is the only reason why she asked for ID. I never recalled that exchange between us. At this point, I'm paying for my purchase, at this time, the manager, Maribel, is watching for the approval of my little $90 purchase instead of taking the link out of my watch, to properly fit my arm, as we had discussed prior to my purchase. I did not like that. It feels like she's so busy assuming that my purchase would be declined, so she can barely work on the next step. Let's multitask. Now I'm aggravated. After my purchase, I asked Maribel if the manager was there. For GUESS' sake, I'm hoping it's not her, but I was prepared that she'd say her. I asked her if this location received a lot of theft because the entire time that I was shopping, I felt horrible energy, as if I was there to steal. I informed her that it was an exceptionally uncomfortable experience and that I did not enjoy my encounter. I let her know that as a business owner and business woman, her actions and conduct even as I was speaking with her was rude and unprofessional. She was writing as I was speaking to her, barely listening, and giving a dry and nonchalant response. "I'm sorry you felt that way", she stated. She totally did not care, in the least. It was over-the-top RUDE! She's was simply attempting to pacify me do I'd just leave. Who apologizes with no eye contact or attempt to rectify the issue? Horrible customer service. I left and went to Marshall's, next door, made my purchase and walked back to my car, which was parked directly in front of GUESS. I took a picture for my YELP review, and they were looking out of the window, as if I was going to cause a disturbance. Another huge blunder! So is it that I'm a black woman, there was a need to be afraid and call security? As I was pulling away, I saw a security officer in my rear view mirror. RIDICULOUS. And after all of that, I put the watch on to wear it this morning and it didn't even freaking work!!!! I 'GUESS' the battery is dead. It had no stopper from keeping the battery from operating while in the display case. It will be going back today. I'll never shop there again. I will continue to get my GUESS from MACY's or at the GUESS stores in VEGAS, if I even buy GUESS again. I'm so annoyed at the mistreatment. Manager Maribel does not have the grace for management- I'd never hire her treating my clients the way she conducted herself last night. Lastly, they need some serious diversity in the store. Why was everyone working Latin (at least from what I saw). We need a diverse team. Granted, it could have simply been the shift or other folks could've been in the back, but it looked bad. I would give them 0 stars if I could. I went in to find some cute pieces to wear for an upcoming trip. Unhelpful customer service when asking questions about their confusing discount signs and limited sizes. Then my spouse noticed one of the staff following me around the store and telling the others to "take a picture" of me as if I were stealing! First of all, I'd never steal. Secondly, I didn't even have a bag or anything to steal with. Another case of shopping while Black. Were they profiling me? I spoke directly about it in front of their staff and was told they were just playing a game with hidden toys throughout the space and hunting for them - not following me. I was here at this guess location a couple days ago and wanted to try on a couple of pieces when I was making my way down the fitting rooms I asked an employee with blue hair and glasses if she can please open the fitting room for me and she kept walking past me after I asked then she turns and with attitude says "she will open it for you" pointing at another employee. That same day she screamed at my nephew demanding he gets out from under a table. I understand that's no place for kids to play but there was definitely a better way she could have addressed that. My nephew is only 3 years old screaming at him was not the right way. Why even having a manager at the store when she is USELESS?? I asked for price of a pair of boots and the employee checked the price with the cashier and told me. I went to the cashier to purchase and they told me a whole different price, I said that I just asked the price from an associate and they checked with her and she actually confirmed what I said, but the manager said "no that is not the price and she may have misheard it". This is probably the worst place to go clothes shopping. So I came here looking for something cool to wear. As soon as I entered this place, I got claustrophobic. This place got clothes everywhere that it barely lets you have space to breathe. There are offers everywhere that say "40% off" but they are not true. I found a shirt that said that it was 50% off. But then the cashier said that it was only 25% off. Also, the cashier could barely talk. No, it's not because she had a problem or something, but she just didn't want to talk to you. You couldn't even understand anything that she was talking about, like if she was talking between her teeth. I basically left the place without buying anything, mad because the offers are fake and they don't give you a good service. So I had no idea this store was in my neighborhood. I was on my way to Bath and Body and stumbled across this store and I swear it was calling my name. I should have walked away ( I ended up spending waaaaay too much mullah here). Well where do I start? Right when I walked in I couldn't help but notice the two walls full of lovely handbags. I went weak in the knees. Then I saw the racks and racks of cute stylish summer clothes. And then the back of the store had an overload of cute heels and sandals. I thought I had found my heaven. As I was lost in my style world the two sales girls were very attentive and let me know what was on sale and started a dressing room for me. They even got the ladder and retrieved some tops for me. Yes the store is called an outlet but the prices are not much lower than their regular store prices. The price tags have the outlet price and the store price. On an average you will save around 15%. They do have some items on sale so you can save a little more. Their items change frequently and the sales girl said they get new shipments in a couple times a week. They don't have tons of stock so what they have on the floor is most likely all of what they have when you need a particular size. You will find men's and women's apparel, sunglasses, jewelry, handbags and wallets. Oh and of course shoes. read more

Wow, what can I say?, The worse store, NEVER SHOP HERE! The clothes looks good, but the quality is sooo low and cheap, after the first washed the clothes it's garbage, and the other things is ones you buy it that's it you are stuck with your purchase because they have a horrible return policy they give you only 1 miserable month, I got a jacket as a gift and we lost the receipt, the people from the store said they can do nothing with out the receipt even that the jacket had still original tags and was not in used, and the other things if you call the costumer help telephone they are rude and arrogant they have no costumer help training at all because if they did they would treat people with respect and dignity, So Please do your self a favor and save you a headache DONT waste your money here!!! read more

I purchased a gift card for my mother for Mother's Day and when she arrived at this location the service was HORRIBLE they told her the gift card has no balance. When I purchased the card it was in cash! And the cashier had trouble ringing it up but handed me a receipt and said it was ok . Lies! There's a reason this store has such poor reviews. Let me tell you about "Eddie", if that's his name. He's a heavier-set sales ASSociate with zero sense of customer-obsession or sales mentality. Story time begins: In the clearance rack, I find a pair of maroon pleather pants without a price tag. I ask a sales associate there who price checks for me and tells me it's $15.00. Seems like a fair price. So I go to try it on and it fits. While in the dressing room, I notice that the zipper fell off the track. I ask the first sales associate if this was the only pair left and she confirmed that it was. I ask her if she can do anything in terms of a discount and I would be willing to keep them with the broken zipper (which you can't fix). She says she has to check, and brings it to Eddie who says yes, depending on the price. So because it's $15.00 it's cheap enough and he can no longer do anything about it. He says if I don't buy it he will damage it out. So, hold on. If you offer me a maybe 10 or 15% discount, it will bring it down to $12.75 lowest and you will make a sale. This item is damaged. You would rather take a loss on the sale, damage your customer service, Guess' reputation to me, and others who read this review just so you don't have to do a discount. Of less than THREE dollars. Less product cost to Guess, cost to carry and administrative costs, Guess could have probably made a profit on the sale in addition to a positive customer experience. Dont trust this store, specially when you paying by credit card. I got incident that i got charge with to 2 different transaction. When i come back to the store,they said nothing they can do. I have to call the corporate office. Why they have a camera in the store but they dont want to re run it to review the transaction and to investigate about. Really poor customer service! We came to return two items (gift receipts) - the woman at the counter didn't even say hello...she told us to move to the other register (right next to the one we stopped at where she was standing). Given it was gift receipts, it was only store credit or exchange (which was fine)...she handed us the receipt but. It the gift card - we asked "is there a gift card" and she was like "it's right there" and pointed to a card sitting on the register! We had to pick it up - she didn't even hand it to us! This was all in front of the manager who said NOTHING! No wonder they have low reviews here - we weren't rude or demanding...how about a little positive customer service! read more

Worst customer service I've ever experienced in this country. I'm still into guess products but will never visit this store again! I thought it's a racial issue but after reading other customers' reviews here. I'm pretty sure it's more than that. Staff in this store have terrible customer service skills.
