I highly recommend Guerrero Electric Co. for these reasons: 1. Quick to resolve the circuit breaker issue in my kitchen via FaceTime! Carlos was so knowledgeable and patient. 2. High quality virtual service and did not even charge me. 3. I value skilled technicians like Carlos. He solved my problems instantly and kindly. How true it is that "it is better to give than to receive." God bless you more! read more

I had a very positive experience getting a quote for a large electrical job (upgrading to 200 amps, replacing knob and tube). An onsite visit was promptly scheduled and I received the quote the next day. This is a family business so both father and son came for the site visit. It was really nice to see them working together. Pricing was competitive. Both Guerreros and Berkeley Electric were above $50K, but Guerreros was ~10% less. Based on their great communication, efficiency, and speed, I feel that they would have done a great job! read more

Great service and quality work. We have used Guerreros for many adds to our home - new outlets, outlet moves etc. All done efficiently and professionally by Guerreros' team of electricians. Cannot recommend enough. read more

Just fantastic service - honest, efficient, and reliable! We will only call them for our electrical issues from now on.

He left a mess. We called many times and left messages about the situation and when we finally spoke to someone after going to his location, what's crazy is he denied even working on our house crazy read more

Guererros Electric did a major rewiring for us including knob and tube removal in a very tricky old house. Exceptional work and service form start to finish. We got a few bids for this project, which had a tight timeline. The other electricians were visibly overwhelmed at how hard it was going to be to remove the knob and tube. Juan Carlos noticed things they did not notice, nodded his head, and expressed calm confidence and experience. He does knob and tube removal all over town, and his experience was evident at every turn. The work was perfectly done, clean, elegant, and on time (early, in fact!), and all his solutions for our tricky old-house problems were spot on. When he spoke up to ask if I was sure I wanted to do something xyz way, his help and advice was invaluable. The other tradesman he recommended to us have been exceptional as well, whereas I have mixed reviews for those I've found on my own. But there was one more enormous value to hiring him to do our house, which is that he watched out for us and our house at every turn, from staying at the house until PG&E came when he found a hazardous connection point, to telling us when the roofer was about to unknowingly pierce the ceiling, and more. I am so glad that we hired him. read more

Guerreros installed a new main service panel in my old house in Kensington in late 2021, when I had an EV on order and was also preparing to install solar. Looks like I didn't write a 5-star review then, but I should have. The original job included a new 220v circuit for charging the new car. All went perfectly with the installation, and I had trouble-free overnight EV charging for a couple of years. A few months ago I started having notifications from the car that the wall plug was overheating, and the car was automatically lowering the amperage (slowing the charging) to prevent potential fires, and that I should have an electrician look at the outlet. Was clearly a problem with either the 220v outlet or with the manufacturer-provided charging cable. I emailed Guerreros explaining the issue. Carlos replied almost immediately to ask if I would be home the next day at 10. He came out in person, inspected everything and showed me and explained that the outlet was plainly OK and that the problem was the manufacturer's charging cable. As an extra step he replaced the outlet internals with a new unit and advised on next steps and possible charger upgrades on the car side. It all struck me as highly responsive, helpful, and showing appropriate concern. He was at my house for nearly an hour, and no charge (monetary, that is). I was again very glad i had chosen Guerreros, and I recommend them highly. read more

We highly recommend Guerreros Electric! We received outstanding customer service from Issac and Damien ! They were very efficient and intelligent about three issues: a burnt out kitchen outlet, resetting a complex timer for our outdoor lights, and explaining how to access our main electric breaker panel that had a faulty door. We were impressed that the team are superb problem-solvers and that they thoroughly looked at the electric issues to find root causes (checking out wiring and panel fuses). Best of all, they communicated what was wrong and how one appliance (an electric kettle) had fried the outlet. We would trust them for any electrical issue. Guerreros is a great value for the price. And their website form requesting service is responded to quickly. read more

Timely, friendly, responsive to problems, clean work site, they replaced a bathroom wall fixture and their charges were very fair. I highly recommend this business. read more

Amazing electricians! Super fast, fairly priced, flexible availability and I also appreciated how mindful they were with masks and taking care of my house. I had a light fixture to install that I wasn't comfortable doing myself and they were super easy to work with. Absolutely thrilled by the results! read more

Efficient, friendly and timely service. Created a doorbell line for a side door that didn't have one. Would use again.

We've used Carlos and team for a number of projects and they consistently deliver quality work at reasonable prices. Definitely recommend!

Brandon and Damian came to our home after I was unable to replace a combined light switch and outlet in bathroom. Charged time and material. Final cost given two men, employees and not subcontractors of company, efficiency and quality a bargain. One hour time aloted for job, time remained they did a second job and eye balled another job related to electrical backup. Advised a visit and bid would be required after exploring options. Options included generator, batter, solar battery and more. We feel lucky to have had their time and work. Jim k read more

I had an excellent experience with Guerrero's electric, especially Carlos who we worked with! We had an issue with our electrical panel, and he kindly navigated us through all the self-help options at home! Rarely, do we find that someone offers us this kindness when we are dealing with a very time sensitive electricity issue that needs to be fixed in our Airbnb. We were so grateful because we were able to fix the issue directly, and Carlos got on the phone with us twice to support us in learning!this was an above and beyond service. We were very grateful to be on the receiving end of it. read more

These guys did a fantastic job diagnosing an electrical problem and replacing some ceiling fixtures. They were speedy, professional, and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend them. read more

Total pros. We needed to replace the knob and tube in our 2200 sq ft home in the Berkeley Hills. We can't imagine having done this with someone other than Guerreros. Carlos and his team worked with surgical precision, minimized holes, and completed the bulk of the work in under three weeks on-time and on-budget. It's a complicated process and could have gone so horribly wrong with someone else or dragged out for months. They're worth every penny. read more

Did the job as requested. Work was done and problem resolved good quality work. Cost was as expected. Will use them again read more

I called about an issue today, and the owner walked me through how to fix the problem myself. He is amazing. I am going to retain this company from now on for all my electrical issues. Thank you, Guerreros Electric! read more

Phenomenal (and great attention to detail)!! The team debugged a short that had them under the house and checking every box, panel, etc; finally found that one of our outdoor light fixtures had an inner wire that had rubbed raw to ground. They also noted that our main had some wiring issues, addressed those, and even re-screwed an outdoor box that had come loose from the house. Highly recommend. read more

Great electrician and he's worked with his crew a long time. Did a lot of work on our previous house and was very punctual!

Carlos Guerrero is the best. He knows houses and electricity from the ground up, plus he also knows the City of Berkeley and PG&E permit processes extremely well. I would hire Carlos and his crew again in a heartbeat! After they did a few smaller jobs for me really well, I hired them for the biggie: an electrical upgrade for my main house so that I could provide power for an ADU. I'm so glad I did! Because of permit delays that were not their fault, the whole project took more than a year, but Carlos and his crew were here for me every step of the way--reliable, competent, and efficient, including showing up the very next morning after an emergency outage. We had internet again in one hour. I think the world of Carlos. He really knows what he's doing, and he's also a responsive and responsible communicator. And the bottom line? Considering the amount of work involved, what I paid was quite reasonable. I'm a grateful fan of Guerreros Electric. read more

Guerrero's was hired as a subcontractor for an AC installation job we had in July 2020. Their two technicians, Brandon and Damien showed up early and busted tail to get the job done - yes the wore masks the whole time. They were also able to work around needing to turn the power off while we worked from home. My wife and I decided that we didn't like the look of how the work turned out (on the roof versus around the side of the home). The work was excellent, we just didn't like the aesthetic of it. I would also note Damien insisted we should have gone around the side of the house on the first place, while we refused. So we asked Brandon if they could re-route the work. He called Carlos who worked with their schedule, and after we agreed to a change order they were able to reroute the electrical and Brandon and Damien did the work the SAME DAY. It looks incredible, we just need to do some final painting on our end. Most amazing of all is how polite the crew was and the fact the crew never complained about re-doing work. read more

Total pros. Carlos is extremely knowledgeable and professional. He is very easy to communicate with and he and his crew show up when they say they will. We got a few quotes for the work, and Guerreros was appropriate and I just trusted Carlos more. I see his trucks everywhere in our neighborhood, seems like he really understands these old houses in the Berkeley Hills. read more

Last night we were worried our house was gonna burn down cause our sub panel was sparking and lights in our house kept dimming randomly. I called Guerreros Electric as soon as they opened in morning, and he rushed over asap and fixed it. We had a fantastic experience with Guerreros Electric! They completely rewired our 100 yr. old house in Berkeley in January 2025, installed all new lighting fixtures, upgraded the electrical service to 200 amps, and provided an electric vehicle charger. Everything about this project went extremely well. The owner, Carlos Guerreros, was very involved in managing the project throughout. He is very knowledgeable, straightforward, and honest, as well as a real pleasure to work with. His crew is highly skilled, attentive to detail, and treated our house with great care. Guerreros' pricing was competitive and any changes in scope (mostly initiated by us) were priced fairly and handled smoothly. The work was completed quickly and right on schedule - a major accomplishment considering the scope of the project. We could not be more pleased to have chosen Guerreros Electric to upgrade our home, and we strongly recommend this company to anyone embarking on similar projects. read more

I can't say enough about this company. I called because I had an issue with a flickering light, low voltage, random power outages. Whoever I spoke to, told me to instead call PGE and have them come out. If PGE Didn't fix the issue, I was instructed to call back for an appointment. They told me exactly what to ask of PGE. Well, I called PGE, they came out and fixed the problem. EXTREMELY trustworthy and if I have any electrical issues around the house next time, this company will be the first I call. read more

Best electrician - EVER! I have a lot of experience in house renovation and have used many electricians over the years. I have never encountered anyone as professional, curteous and experienced as Guerreros Electrical. We hired Carlos and his team to move and replace a full breaker box/sub-panel replacement in a house in Berkeley. Carlos was always prompt and thorough in his communications. Calls, texts, and e-mails were returned quickly and Carlos took the time to answer any questions we had. On project day his team arrived promptly and with all the supplies and materials needed. They were took extreme care to protect surfaces and to keep dust/debris to a minimum. Their work and wiring was neat and clean and done to proper standards. While it's a small thing, each breaker was labeled with a printed label, as opposed to an unintelligible scrawl. As someone who has been through many electrical projects, it's these details that make a difference. The project was completed on time and within budget. And speaking of budget, the contract price was quite fair. I wholeheartedly recommend this company for any electrical need you may have. read more

$760 dollars for changing 3 outdoor lights (no drilling). Wow. For that I would have preferred to just watch a Youtube video and do it myself. This was not the price he quoted me. I recommend that everyone stay away from this business. Just saw your response. Just to be clear, so everyone can make this decision for themselves. 3 simple installations of lights with no drilling and the switching out of the two lights that are exactly the same will cost you almost $800. There were 2 people here for one hour. Easy job. I wasn't given an itemized receipt, just an arbitrary amount I had to pay which was almost twice as much as the amount you quoted me. read more

Carlos and his team are the best. We had them rewire our entire house and get rid of old knob and tube wiring back in February. Carlos and his team walked us through the entire process and kept us updated every step of the way. Even when we ran into some unexpected hiccups he kept the project on time. I cannot recommend Carlos enough as he will take care of you. Carlos also recommended great patchers and painters along with a great attic insulation person. read more

We had a breaker blown by the electrical storm (we think) and it wouldn't reset. I called these guys yesterday about a problem with our dining room ceiling light - it was flickering. It's a pendant lamp and I wasn't sure how I could switch out the light socket to see if that was the problem, so I looked here for an electrician. Juan called me back within an hour of my message to them. He told me his rate and said he could do the work this week, but also described how LED dimmers and dimmer switches have evolved over the years - that it might just be that I have to switch out the dimmer switch and perhaps a different bulb. He described how the new dimmer switches can be adjusted and paired with specific light bulbs. In a three-minute conversation, he walked me through what to shop for and what to consider when installing it. So I tried this and... it's fixed! He gave me a little bit of his time, for free. He was most helpful. And as a result, when I inevitably stumble on something I can't fix myself, I'll hire him to do the work. read more

Great attention to detail. Thoughtful approach. We had the team complete a couple electrical projects. Will call again

Carlos and his crew just finished installing outdoor AC outlets in my backyard. Guerreros remediated knob and tube wiring in our old house. We talked to four different contractors and felt that Guerrero had the best handle on the work required, and their bid was about in the midrange of the four we received, quite reasonable given the nature of the work involved. We are really happy with the result. Carlos and the crew worked really hard to bring the project in on time (a little early in fact!), coordinated well with PGE and the city, and the contractors they recommended for insulation removal/replacement and painting were also excellent. All were good communicators, showed up when they said they would, and were super tidy and respectful of the house, and personally very pleasant. Carlos often had great additional ideas for improvements that were worth making as long as we were having the work done, and was always open to suggestions. We highly recommend this company. read more

Bless the souls of the people from this business. We called to set up an appointment to have someone come take a look at our kitchen outlets. He was able to help us out over the phone in under 5 minutes and we were able to get it working again. Rather embarrassing (for me) to say, but I had a very simple problem when my breaker box shut off to one area of the home. How to get electric service back? One electrical contractor planned to send an electrician out on a call to fix. They were late so I called Guerreros. Did you hit the reset button, Mr. Guerrero asked. Why no I hadn't. Let's do that. Yay it is fixed, no service charge, done in 3 minutes. read more

I'll keep it short and sweet...Carlos and his crew do great work, are reasonably priced, reliable, and an absolute pleasure to work with! Carlos and his crew just finished a large electrical job at my house that involved rewiring and adding recessed lighting throughout. Carlos' prices were far superior to another prominent electrical company that I interviewed and the work is top notch. Carlos also did an amazing job of working with me throughout the process as smaller issues came up. He was very accommodating of change orders and helped me make the best decisions for my home.
