I called their business number listed here 2 days ago since they had very high ratings in Yelp. Spoke with Ken, the owner. Told him we have 2 outlets that wasn't working. He went through a couple of quick fixes on the phone which could save us some money. I told him we've done that already and we need an electrician to diagnose and fix the problem. He said it'll cost $335 to show up and if he is here over 2hrs, it will be an extra $169/hr. I said okay. Since he is highly rated, I didn't bother calling other electricians for more quotes. I normally get at least 3 then compare. Then he said his appts are 3wks away but has a cancellation for Saturday (today) at 11am. So I said sure and gave him our address and told him to call us when he's here cuz we have to buzz him in the security gate. He said our address is 5mins from his house so no problem. Long story short. He never showed up, no call -nothing! Wasted our time waiting. It is our rental property so I had to drive in before the appt, waited an hour after the appt then left. He may not have wanted to take the job cuz I got the sense that he wasn't enthused and quoted us his price for showing up. Or... he may have forgotten about the appt. Either way, he is the owner and there is no excuse for poor business practice. And for wasting my time I gave him one star since I can't give zero. read more

He was so communicative throughout the project with updates and explanations. I really appreciated him giving me options that would save money if we wanted. He was also so kind and friendly and just all around easy to work with - when you have people in your house doing work it's so nice to have those vibes. Super hardworking along with his assistant - never saw them resting and stretching out the hourly billing. The work was done exactly as we asked, plus extras like him offering to paint around the base of the new light fixture so it wouldn't look janky (saving us money on having to hire a painter later!). He identified the issue, which was within my electric box, and fixed it very quickly. I should add the issue is completely unrelated to his previous work (I just have an old house). A couple of evenings ago, I discovered that all the overhead lights and sconces in the LR, DR, hallway and kitchen were out. (Fortunately, my appliances, tv and computer were not affected.) The next day I went outside to check the breaker panel and one switch was in the off position. I tried to switch it back on--no luck. Searched the internet and very few electricians will even do breaker panel service calls. Finally found AC3 LLC and within 2 hrs Ken and Matt were here to attend to the problem which fortunately was an easy fix. Matt also fixed a couple of wonky light switches and unstuck the lock on my gate! I switched from a gas stove to an electric and the electric stove tripped the breaker when the installers tried to test it. Ken found that the wiring in the 3-prong stove outlet was hooked up incorrectly. What I liked about having Ken look into the issue was that he was a straight shooter and always cut to the chase. He was also very upfront about his labor rates and minimums. He didn't make promises, and instead made sure you knew the different scenarios you were looking at. I also was glad he was focused on safety. Part of that was through his clear communication, the other was for his genuine concern. For instance, when he saw that there wasn't an end cap on our gas line from the old stove, he made sure to buy and install one while he was buying other parts he needed for repairing the stove outlet. He also made sure to tighten up all of the switches and things in the panel to spec. It took two visits, but he didn't charge me for the first one since he saw from the first visit that he'd have to come back with a helper to do the job. When he was finished, he fully tested the stove and even set the clock on it. Stay safe out there Ken! read more

A difficult job. My handyman tried to replace the 3 way switches and was unable to do it. Ken put in new switches where I had old (and unconventional) wiring and had to change out one of the boxes for the switches. 3 way LCD switches are much more complicated and lots of choices among similar ones.I bought the wrong Lutron switches, so he got me the 6 correct ones. He worked hard and steadily for hrs, and now my switches work perfectly. Moderately high cost, but Ken spent hrs working on it, over 3 visits. Overall, worth it. He came within 2 days, answered my YELP right away. read more
