I had a power outage emergency in my garage that I discovered early in the morning. This was a big issue because I have a freezer stocked with food and I discovered that everything was already almost thawed, so I needed to find a solution before all the food went bad. I called Ken at 6:45am, and although he said he was booked out for a couple weeks he said he could make it over between 12pm-4pm. However I told him about my concern about the freezer and the food going bad and he was able to move around some of his appointments to be at my house by 8am. Ken was extremely professional and checked the breaker and every outlet to diagnose the problem. After discovering the issue, he explained what was happening and what we should do to prevent the same issue in the future. He fixed the issue quickly and gave me suggestions of what I can do to upgrade the outlets to avoid any future blow outs or fire hazards. I highly recommend his service and will definitely be calling him back when I can fully upgrade. read more

I called their business number listed here 2 days ago since they had very high ratings in Yelp. Spoke with Ken, the owner. Told him we have 2 outlets that wasn't working. He went through a couple of quick fixes on the phone which could save us some money. I told him we've done that already and we need an electrician to diagnose and fix the problem. He said it'll cost $335 to show up and if he is here over 2hrs, it will be an extra $169/hr. I said okay. Since he is highly rated, I didn't bother calling other electricians for more quotes. I normally get at least 3 then compare. Then he said his appts are 3wks away but has a cancellation for Saturday (today) at 11am. So I said sure and gave him our address and told him to call us when he's here cuz we have to buzz him in the security gate. He said our address is 5mins from his house so no problem. Long story short. He never showed up, no call -nothing! Wasted our time waiting. It is our rental property so I had to drive in before the appt, waited an hour after the appt then left. He may not have wanted to take the job cuz I got the sense that he wasn't enthused and quoted us his price for showing up. Or... he may have forgotten about the appt. Either way, he is the owner and there is no excuse for poor business practice. And for wasting my time I gave him one star since I can't give zero. read more

I had an incredible experience with Ken. He was as very thorough, responsive, had fair pricing and honest. He has helped me with 2 homes so far and I would recommend him to everyone. His reports are easy to digest and his suggestions are spot on. 10/10! read more

My homeowners insurance was cancelling me because their inspection revealed that I had fuses for the incoming main electrical shut off for the house. After speaking to several companies for quotes and availability I chose AC3LLC. The bid was in the middle compared to other companies. I was pleasantly surprised at Ken's friendly, honest, and no bs customer service. It was excellent. He is the owner and master electrician with a helper. A fourth generation electrician with SIXTY years of experience! He cares about his work in detail, and navigates the PG&E and inspection bureaucracy very well. My new incoming service from pole to brand new breaker box is a current as can be! read more

I want to take a moment to recognize Ken for the excellent electrical work he completed at my house. Finding someone you feel comfortable trusting with your home can be difficult, especially when it comes to electrical work, so I truly appreciated his professionalism and the care he put into the job. One of the things I appreciated most was Ken's willingness to explain the work and answer my questions. Electrical issues aren't always easy for a homeowner to understand, and it makes a big difference when someone takes the time to walk you through what needs to be done. I felt comfortable asking questions and appreciated having a better understanding of the work being performed. Ken showed great attention to detail throughout the job. He took pride in his work and treated my home with respect. It was reassuring to see that he cared about the quality of the finished work and wanted everything done properly. As a homeowner, that kind of care goes a long way toward making you feel confident in the person you've hired. Beyond the work itself, Ken was courteous, approachable, and easy to communicate with. Having someone working in your home can sometimes be stressful, but he made the experience a positive one. I appreciated the effort he put into the job and the way he handled himself from start to finish. Overall, I am very happy with the electrical work Ken completed and grateful for his help. I would gladly have him back for future electrical projects and recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, professional electrician who takes pride in his work. Thank you, Ken, for taking such good care of my home! read more

I will give it to mr. Ken (owner or AC3LLC) a 5 star review and this is why. He is Patient, dealing with the City permit, PG&E (not easy,) explaining to you what is going to do, step by step, every day you see him. Knowledge (more than 50 year of experience) and in this field of electricity is paramount. At the end of the day he takes pride to show you what he has accomplished. First day I met mr. Ken I was sold. He changed both of my house's electric panels  and upgraded from 100amp to 200 amp.  Inside the house panel was a 1961 Zinsco panel (insurance won't cover you if you don't change it) and now replaced with a Siemens panel 100 amp. Outside panel (also dangerous and dated) was replaced with a new panel  SQ D 20/40 SOLAR READY. Finally I have a 200 amp system for all my future electric needs. The price was right (he stands behind is words) and he sent an estimate in details that I just said, YES let's do it. We set the approximate date to start (he is busy) and the rest is history. Yes, I definitely recommend Mr ken for electric work. Thank you so very much for making my house much safer than before. read more

They want to charge for a service call to give me a quote. On what's possible the issue is then they have a hourly rate on top of that where there's many more qualified people/companies that doesn't charge the ridiculous request. this is the reply about your letter back to me. I agree that you never got a call from me or I never received a call from you but the information I received was talking about just to come over to the house was outrageous amount and the per hour is way out of line. That's what I was addressing your company is way out of line in your pricing it borders on robbery. read more

Ken has helped me with a slew of electrical projects lately: 1. Installed a 200A panel 2. Laid underground conduit to our detached office / shed 3. Added a subpanel to the shed 4. Added light fixtures and outlets to the shed 5. Added a new dryer circuit and swapped out some interior lights in our house. All of the work has been excellent. Ken is thorough and detail oriented; he does not cut corners. He handled all the permits and has been very easy to work with. Before we started any projects or signed any contracts, Ken and I had a weeks-long conversation where he gave me advice about what was feasible and what was not, and helped me understand what would be required to do the work right. I highly recommend you reach out to Ken if you need electrical work done. read more

We found Ken through a recommendation on Nextdoor, and we're glad we did. We needed a new circuit and receptacle installed in our crawlspace to service a sump pump. He did the job quickly and thoroughly. He had observed some safety issues in our breaker boxes and recommended an upgrade. A few days later he came back with a helper and they blazed through the project without pause. When I worried about having no power to the refrigerator while they worked, he came into the kitchen with a mammoth extension cord and kept the refrigerator running throughout the process. His work is professional and exceptionally neat. He's an amiable person who explains everything and gives options. He's also quick to answer texts (even on the weekends). He's everything one wants in a master electrician, and we recommend him heartily. read more

Ken came out and worked on fixing two broken outlets, installing two new outlets, and replacing two light fixtures on stairs. He was so communicative throughout the project with updates and explanations. I really appreciated him giving me options that would save money if we wanted. He was also so kind and friendly and just all around easy to work with - when you have people in your house doing work it's so nice to have those vibes. Super hardworking along with his assistant - never saw them resting and stretching out the hourly billing. The work was done exactly as we asked, plus extras like him offering to paint around the base of the new light fixture so it wouldn't look janky (saving us money on having to hire a painter later!). We will definitely be using AC3LLC again in the future for any electrical needs. read more

Quick response! Ken responded and arrived the same day I sent an inquiry to assess and provide a quote. I needed an outdoor outlet for my mom's new Moen water leak detection monitor. He was very transparent with pricing based on different scenarios as I had a separate issue where one of the outlets needed troubleshooting. He scheduled the job the following day as a 2-person team and they both did a fantastic and thorough job. Highly recommend this company and will definitely call him for my own home electrical needs in the future! read more

Ken has great communication and is always professional. He recently installed a bathroom fan, vented it to outdoors and it made a world of difference in the attic while also helping with the moisiture in the bathroom. Today he installed an outside outlet, challenging situation (see photos) also with excellent results. This is the place to call if you want it done right. read more

Ken was really great and gave a competitive quote. For a simple light installation, another electrician quoted us more than 2X higher! Easy to schedule. Willing to let me buy the aesthetic things like switches, and covers. read more

My power went out. It was 11am on Sunday morning and I tried everything within my knowledge. Unsuccessfully. I text Ken (as I was so pleased with his previous work). I also put a request on yelp incase he was not available. Ken was here within the hour. He is closed on Sundays, and I know had to juggle a lot of things to help me out. He identified the issue, which was within my electric box, and fixed it very quickly. I should add the issue is completely unrelated to his previous work (I just have an old house). I am so grateful, I am sure he had better things planned for his day. Also from the few responses I got on yelp nobody else was available either, so without Ken I would have been stuck. But thankfully he found a way to help me. His price was very reasonable, especially as it is Sunday. Thank you, Ken! read more

Ken from AC3 LLC came and did work for us rewiring some old receptacles and servicing our breaker boxes. #1 rule when working with people, is pay them what they're worth, especially when they're working on your house. Ken is professional, on-time, and provides communication throughout the progress. His work is clean, and he takes pride in his craft. This is everything you can ask for from a professional electrician. 1) I'll be recommending to all my neighbors within my community. 2) You'll be happy you hired him and happy to be a reference. Ken was absolutely wonderful! My mom had electric issue with her fuse box going off leading to no power in bedrooms and living room. Ken was able to come out that day and we had a plan in place. Even with all of the storms in recent weeks her power and updated panels are up and working great! He kept in contact with me constantly and went through everything he was doing. He and his helper Matt are conscientious, neat and respectful ! I would absolutely recommend and a 5 star rating read more

I needed troubleshooting and a repair. Ken came on a Sunday to check it out , but didn't have time to do the work that day, and would have to come back in a couple of days. He suggested calling PG&E to see if it was their problem. So I did. It was PG&E's problem and they fixed it quickly. That saved me the price of a repair service. Some people would have kept quiet and made money from the service call. read more

During a big storm, our sump pump and garage door both stopped working on Xmas day. I texted several electricians and Ken was the only one who responded & came out the day after Xmas. Ken was very nice and experienced electrician! Fixed my breaker in short time and also give good advise on my heating systems. Thank you!

A couple of evenings ago, I discovered that all the overhead lights and sconces in the LR, DR, hallway and kitchen were out. (Fortunately, my appliances, tv and computer were not affected.) The next day I went outside to check the breaker panel and one switch was in the off position. I tried to switch it back on--no luck. Searched the internet and very few electricians will even do breaker panel service calls. Finally found AC3 LLC and within 2 hrs Ken and Matt were here to attend to the problem which fortunately was an easy fix. Matt also fixed a couple of wonky light switches and unstuck the lock on my gate! Since my kitchen was remodeled after this panel was installed, I definitely will contact AC3 LLC to take care of some needed upgrades. Thanks so much, Ken and Matt! read more

I switched from a gas stove to an electric and the electric stove tripped the breaker when the installers tried to test it. Ken found that the wiring in the 3-prong stove outlet was hooked up incorrectly. What I liked about having Ken look into the issue was that he was a straight shooter and always cut to the chase. He was also very upfront about his labor rates and minimums. He didn't make promises, and instead made sure you knew the different scenarios you were looking at. I also was glad he was focused on safety. Part of that was through his clear communication, the other was for his genuine concern. For instance, when he saw that there wasn't an end cap on our gas line from the old stove, he made sure to buy and install one while he was buying other parts he needed for repairing the stove outlet. He also made sure to tighten up all of the switches and things in the panel to spec. It took two visits, but he didn't charge me for the first one since he saw from the first visit that he'd have to come back with a helper to do the job. When he was finished, he fully tested the stove and even set the clock on it. Stay safe out there Ken! read more

A difficult job. My handyman tried to replace the 3 way switches and was unable to do it. Ken put in new switches where I had old (and unconventional) wiring and had to change out one of the boxes for the switches. 3 way LCD switches are much more complicated and lots of choices among similar ones.I bought the wrong Lutron switches, so he got me the 6 correct ones. He worked hard and steadily for hrs, and now my switches work perfectly. Moderately high cost, but Ken spent hrs working on it, over 3 visits. Overall, worth it. He came within 2 days, answered my YELP right away. read more

Very responsive and communicated with me throughout the whole process. Even gave me advice on future projects to consider as well as practical advice such as fire hazards. Ken is amazing. Love the work that was done. Ken was reasonable and the job went far more quickly than expected. Highly recommend.

Posting on behalf of my wife: I had an emergency over Christmas and went to yelp to find help as it was my first time needing electrical expertise. I decided on Ken based on the positive reviews here praising his integrity, his communication and his clear timelines. I was nervous as it was a big and complex project, but in every way, he has exceeded expectations on all accounts, going above and beyond repeatedly to get my project through the finish line faster and smoother than I could have imagined possible. If you want a worry free project where you have someone that has your back completely, helping you resolve the things you didn't even know you needed to worry about - consider Ken.
