The reviews are 1000% accurate--Tony is fantastic! He was courteous, punctual, and very honest. We will definitely call him again for future work, especially since our older home will likely need upgrades. read more

I can't say enough good things about Tony at AMG Electric. Over Labor Day weekend, while most businesses are closed and unavailable, he answered my call during an electrical crisis at my home. All of my lights, electronics, and appliances were turning off and on and flickering, over and over and over, all day long. I'd been dealing with it since 4am and was in full on panic mode by the time I called Tony. What really stood out to me was his professionalism and genuine care--after our phone conversation, he followed up with additional advice via text to make sure everything was resolved properly. That level of customer service is rare, especially on a holiday weekend. He didn't charge me for his time on the phone or for his advice, and I'm just so very grateful that he picked up the phone when he did. It could have been a long, rough night for me over here! Highly recommend! read more

Tony is awesome! Professional, patient, knowledgeable, honest and kind! I found him after searching Yelp for an electrician to walk us through installing a back up generator for our house. With wildfire season, rolling blackouts and two young kids, we wanted the piece of mind of a back up generator in the event of an outage. Tony picked up when I called and set up a free consultation within a few days. He then completed the work after we purchased a generator and was super helpful answering all my questions (I didn't know anything about generators so I had a million questions). He was kind enough to unbox and set up our generator and also let me film a video of him walking me through how to set it up during a black out! Seriously, he went above a beyond. Highly recommend Tony as an electrician and he'll be our go-to person for any future electrical work! read more

Tony upgraded my main panel, ran the electrical for my new hot tub, and will come back to hook up the electrical to the hot tub when it arrives. He is also going to install a some outlets in my backyard when he comes back for the hot tub. Tony was responsive, professional, knowledgeable and chill to chat with throughout the week. He was also very good with taking Covid precautions/mask wearing while coming into close contact or coming into the house. He was flexible with coordinating his work with the concrete job I had going at the same time. The conduit work he did in my garage was clean and, in a way, was like its own art form. He also was extremely helpful with questions I had that came up throughout the project. His prices were very fair for the amount of work I had to get done. Although it was not the lowest estimate I received while looking for an electrician for this job, I felt like he was the easiest to communicate with and was someone I could trust. I also liked the ideas he had for how to complete this job. I am planning to do an addition to my house sometime in the future and I would definitely use Tony again. read more

Tony was one of the first who responded to me yelp request and I am glad he did. With all the electricians I spoke with, it was obvious he knew his stuff and even took the time to throughly explain the work needed. When it was time to schedule, he was super flexible and accommodated my request. Since we were mid-project when I decided to add an outlet, I really needed it done quickly and he came through. I couldn't recommend Tony more and I'm glad I have a go-to electrician now for any future needs. Don't bother with the rest yelp might recommend, just give Tony a call! read more

Great service from Tony. Came over within 30 minutes on a Saturday to help us with a smoke detector that would not shut off ! Friendly, honest, fair pricing. Would definitely recommend and will call for any future electrical needs. read more

Tony was amazing and available last minute to come out to my home. I was crazy worried that I had a fire hazard with lights flickering and the panel buzzing. He came out and diagnosed the issue to be PG&E's. PG&E came out within an hour and fixed their line. I'm beyond grateful for Tony's kindness and patience for coming out on such short notice. When I have any electrical needs in the future, Tony will be the first person I call. For the one negative review - I think learning how to change lights is an asking skill to have and I'm so sorry you had so much trouble. I wish I knew Tony when I was replacing all of my electrical because with enough guidance, I think I could have done much of the job myself. Tony - thank you. You made my day, month, and year. What started as a dire situation was fixed so quickly and calmly with your help. Help you. Grateful that you are in business and will refer everyone I know to you. read more

Tony and Dan are great! Asked for a quote in the morning on Yelp, and Tony responded immediately. Had a brief chat with Tony on the phone about a fried electrical outlet, and Dan came over by the afternoon and had the problem fixed in less than 30 minutes. In total it was maybe five hours from when I asked for a quote to the problem being fixed. Utmost professionals and incredibly responsive. Tony the owner was so easy to talk to. He was straight to the point and professional. He was so efficient and asked me to take a picture of the panel prior to him working on our circuit breaker. He is not out there to get you for your money, unlike other electricians. He is knowledgeable, friendly, fast quality work and leaves the area clean upon completion of his work. AMG is actually just a guy named Tony, which seems important to point out, as there is no-one to follow up with if you have a bizarre experience like I did. I called AMG/Tony asking for electrical outlets and light switches to be installed in an upstairs bedroom that was recently remodeled. He told me that I should just watch YouTube videos and do it myself and that this would be much cheaper. I left the call thinking maybe I was pretty dumb, like I had just asked someone to come over and change my lightbulbs, so got to work watching YouTube and trying to figure out how to install lights and outlets. I called Tony back, as he said he would be willing to "consult" for $150/hr and asked if he could come help me. He did come to my house and teach me how to do switch installation and check my work on my outlets. He did this twice, staying for a few hours at a time and then leaving and scheduling to come back a week later. This means that two days of work stretched out over three weeks, when he then tried to reschedule a Monday appointment for Friday on Thursday because he'd had a funeral on Wednesday.... He then accused me of being unsympathetic when I said I was working and couldn't be available for his "consultations". I went with someone else after that. In retelling the story to others, including other electricians, it sounds so bizarre it doesn't even seem like it could be true, but I have the texts. I was just being jerked around. read more

Quick turnaround time from quote to install of a new 200a main. Super easy to work with and a really thorough job! I'd definitely call them again for other electrical needs. Only downside is I couldn't pay with a credit card and didn't know until afterwards. Lots of missed points on that one! haha. But overall excellent company. Thanks Tony read more

I had Tony out to scope out my new home. He informed me of what I was working with, what potential issues I may have, what simply wasn't a concern, and how to efficiently go about it all without any salesmanship. He rewired my garage (new outlets, lighting, etc.), some exterior circuits, and added some GFCIs inside. All was done very well, would certainly recommend! read more

Tony Granelli is a great electrician and a very organized and kind person. He replaced our main electrical panel four months ago when we bought a house in Richmond.
