I know my friends liked their food better so it might just have been my dish that was a bit tough. The service was alright, a bit slow, but the workers were nice. We have an international trip coming up in October so we wanted to knock this thing out as quickly as possible. OK, back to the review. Before we left for Laredo, we checked out recent articles for restaurants to check out and things to do. There were quite a few intriguing dining options but less with regards to appealing options for what to do. We checked out the historic district but, teeming multitudes of perfume stores and money exchange places, the area lacked any charm whatsoever. It actually felt like we were in Mexico. When we checked into our hotel, we asked the lady at the front desk for lunch recommendations and things to do. She couldn't recommend anything to see in the area but suggested Palenque Grill for lunch, which was on our list of possibles. Palenque Grill, located just off I-35, is quite spacious. We were seated immediately and served some warm and crispy tortilla chips with various sauces...loved them all but I preferred the spicy salsa while my wife loved the bean dip. My wife ordered the Pechuga de Pollo ($19) and I tried their Puntas de Filete ($21). My wife was surprised at how flavorful the chicken was, although she thought the veggies were overcooked. I liked the flavor of tender beef tips in that savory sauce. Loved the freshly made flour and corn tortillas. All in all, a good lunch option, albeit perhaps not the best value around. Not your typical Tex-Mex. Service was very attentive and friendly. Lunch for 2 came out to just over $55 with tip.

Also, the taco is held in a single corn tortilla which doesn't hold the weight of the food. It broke easily and ended up being very messy. I'd rather try other taco spots in the area before returning.

Taco Tuesday in Laredo led me here as this was not too far from my hotel. And after being…read moredistraught from my arrival to my lodging area, I knew tacos would cheer me up. Walking in here, I saw the tacos were the street taco type based on what was served to the diners here so I figured I would order more than a couple. It smelled amazing and had me foaming at the mouth after I put my order in and waited with anticipation. I decided on the following flavors: -pastor, -tripa x 2, -brisket -pechuga tacolare especial (chicken, ham, bacon) After giving me my bag, I immediately raced back to my hotel, unwrapped everything and was a bit confused on how they wrapped it. Most taco places I've been to usually have the tacos wrapped individually or bunch them in the folded format. They were wrapped up laid flat so everything was on top of each other which I got a bit confused by. So I carefully pulled each one out, drizzled some of that green and red sauce provided and then ate. I was impressed by the brisket and tripa, both of those were killer. The pastor wasn't bad but I probably should've done a different flavor since it was a bit overdone IMO. The pechuga tacolore was the greasiest but a pleasant surprise since I kinda like my tacos that way. Price wise, it's a bit more expensive for street tacos than I'm used to but the taste and flavor are there. I noticed it's a favorite here in Laredo as there were a good amount of to-go orders and people inside were happily chowing down on their eats. When Laredo calls my name again, I'll definitely be back here for other taco flavors and some of those boracho beans.

I usually don't like leaving negative reviews for new spots since I know they're still getting in the groove of things, but here's my honest take! The food was good, but the service could use a little work. They brought out some complimentary bread to start, but it was super hard and not enjoyable. We asked our server for recommendations, but they didn't seem too familiar with the menu. My dad had what seemed like a chicken parmigiana with Alfredo pasta. It was good, but the fried chicken was a bit hard side. My mom went with the shrimp Alfredo, and while it was good, it definitely needed some salt and pepper to give it more flavor. I ordered the Bravo Pasta (spaghetti with shrimp, spinach, and diced tomato in a creamy wine sauce). It was tasty, but I was hoping for something a little more bold in flavor. Overall, it wasn't bad! I'd go back to try a different dish because the menu does sound promising--just hoping for a little more seasoning and smoother service next time.

The bread was difficult to cut. I had the chicken parmigiana lunch special. The portion was a good size considering it was the lunch special., the flavor was there but the chicken was tough and I mean really tough. It was difficult to cut and it wasn't the crust that was the problem it was the chicken. The Alfredo pasta that came with my plate was a bit on the dryer side. It lacked enough Alfredo sauce. My wife had the Milanesa Nopalitana. Now that portion was huge. She liked here plate and said it was very good. Overall I would recommend the restaurant and would go back but I wouldn't order the chicken parmigiana lunch special. If everything had been okay I would have rated 5 Stars.
