I have eaten it around the country and across several European countries in well established restaurants. The chicken piccata created here is the absolute best I have ever eaten. The sauce was perfectly thickened with just the right acid levels. Not too many capers. The chicken was moist on the inside and crisp on the outside. Served over house mashed potatoes with grilled asparagus. The serving size was perfect and I was perfectly satisfied with the amount. Let me reiterate. The chicken piccata here is better than I have ever had anywhere. The chef, who we met, is humble and talented. We presented us a tasting of a smoked brisket that he will be serving at another of his restaurants in town. The smoke ring was visible in the slice, the meat was absolutely tender and moist and the flavor explodes. I hope he also decides to offer it at this location too. $35 plus tax and tip for a deliciously cooked meal that I will remember. I will make the drive when I am close to Laredo to eat here again.
