The place was hot and the drinks were warm, again small area.. it's understandable since the kitchen was right behind us but still, if its a fact that the place gets warm because of the kitchen then some extra air or offer of ice/water would be nice.. then the food; I must say that for my whole order being 35$ it was not good... my order was the spicy chicken biscuit and the biscuit crumbled as soon as I picked it up. It tasted dry and clumpy as if it was reheated several times. The cheese on the chicken was hard and chewy and rubbery? The fried chicken had so much hard fried edges that biting it hurt. The potatoes were the only good ones.. the VERY limited space calls for control which was given but not communicated. As we were the firsts other people came by and they were treated the same as us until a larger group came and mentioned that they needed a seating of 6 which she then commented about having a reservation on hold for a group and needing to see how to seat them (not sure if that was the group or not) but the fact still stands that it should be communicated to others that seating is limited due to a reservation, not just simply giving limited options and not explaining. If I had known I would have gone back another time or even made a reservation for the future. Not sure if I would go back, having different menu options between weekdays/weekends was a real bummer. I really wanted a montecristo but they only offered it on weekends from 8-10? I believe is what she said... I hope others have a better experience but I thought I should comment in hopes of change for the next time I give it another shot

The bone had not been cooked completely and was very fiber and the beef tartar just tasted really off pudding just like raw meat instead of it bean seasoned and marinated the way it should be. We had to send it back for it to get cooked for the bone and when they brought it back, it was still the same thing so they ended up removing it from our check. After this, I did get a cup of the asparagus soup and I have to say that was really nice. Then I got the American ribeye since they were out of the Argentina ribeye which is a disappointment. I had asked for a medium. It came cooked more than medium and it was weird how light colored it was and it just tasted like a typical steak nothing really special to it. The baked potato was whatever. Now the portobello mushrooms and wine sauce that was really delicious. I don't think I would come back here just cause there was nothing really special about it. The picahna was cooked okay, also poorly seasoned. When you think of picahna , you think of the fat cap, tell me why my picahna did not have any fat cap on it? They carved out the fat! I mean cmon man, you're an Argentinian steakhouse and you do that, that is blasphemy. Then they cut my steak, let it bleed out on the plate. Is this their first time or what? Leave the steak whole, like my wife's ribeye. The second saddest steak I've eaten. The worst one was a ribeye I had at Otillias. Steak came with steak fries and they were okay. My wife's baked potato wasn't fully cooked either Overall this place missed the mark and for paying $115 for two people before tip, you're better off grilling your own steaks for a lot less. I paid $40 for the picahna and $39 for my wife's steak. I wanted to give this place 3 stars but that bs bread move left me upset. And the Dulce de Leche dessert was really good too, not too sweet or overpowering. For cocktails the Triple Crown and Run for the Roses were very refreshing. The staff were very friendly and attentive and though the restaurant was renovated they kept the classic look that makes the Tack Room. Reopening is tentatively for November 14th 2025. It's been years since I've gone to the Tack Room but the new menu and changes they've made are really worth the trip downtown.
