I had been to this buffet for 7 years now and I have always loved it but you know how love can fade away once you dislike something... WELL YES. Wanting to come in a festive time isn't really great place to come at cause the lines... THE HUGE LINES THAT GO THROUGH THE OUTSIDE just makes you want to never come again but obviously i went back on a normal Tuesday and i went through in less than 3 minutes. The atmosphere inside just really depending what day you decide to go can be about good not so packed but the music playing in the background can get annoying cause they.just.dont.know.how.to.sing! It will be better if it was just jazz playing or something NOT LOUD! The food can be good and different types of varieties but when it comes to the pasta, it's so greasy like too much butter and the cheese has this weird taste at the end of every bite it's addicting at first but later it gives me the ick- The pastries look appetizing and they all pretty tasty Then it comes to the restrooms. OMG ITS NASTY LIKE YOU CANNOT LAST A MILLISECOND INSIDE OR YOU WILL DIE OF HYPEROSMIA. They need to do something about those restrooms cause im genuinely concerned of other victims like me. Stopped by for Veterans Day and got a free meal. I was kind of skeptical at first because the food is buffet style and out in the open but everyone seemed to wear a mask when on line until they were back at their respective tables where they'd remove their mask to eat. The staff all wore masks and most had gloves on as well. The food was not hot but it tasted pretty good. They were pretty good about replenishing food that was low. The parking lot has ample space to park. I'd definitely go back again. read more

Shocking lack of food quality and presentation. Most of the entrees were cold and bland. Particularly gross was the cold, rubber-like, fried catsish. Couldn't cut or even chew it. I have not been to a Golden Coral in years and now I remember why. Prices have gone up, buffet is now $15 with water. It was in the same parking lot as my hotel and I did not want to drive anywhere after a long day. My bad. My spinach had solid chunks of hard stems in it, my cabbage was not done and the brisket was tough and very fatty. The pot roast was good but everything else from the Brussel sprouts to the carrots were designed for quantity not quality. The baked chicken was ok. Did not try the desserts but they looked the same, a lot of variety but not high quality. I guess if you know what to expect it May be OK for you but for $15 without a drink, you could get a GOOD meal elsewhere. Probably won't be back read more

I freakin love this place. We Californians lost our Golden Corrals a while ago. The steak is awesome despite the buffet style. The food is always hot and flavorful. You really can not beat the price. If you are a trucker. They have bobtail parking in the back. My favorite place to eat in all of the United States. read more

Best buffet Place in Town and overall. I am traveling a lot, and so far this Golden Corral had the best food compared with other GC. Eating here every time i need to come for business to Laredo, so I can say that food quality is very good since years. Freshly renovated, and always very very clean. It is so easy: Just go to the restrooms of a place, and you know how its run. Even before renovation , the restrooms here have always been clean and well maintained. Now, after renovation, they are new & clean, and I am sure they keep them that way. Love the food there, and prices are very fair !!!! Nearly no complains, but if I might state something, I have 3 things to say: Personally, I do not like the live music they are presenting there. No misunderstanding: Music is VERY GOOD & kind of professional, but I prefer to have my meal in a more silent surrounding. Same thing can be said after reopening freshly renovated in December 2018: Now this place shows a real big dining area, no separators are used any more, and only disadvantage here is, that it got a little more noisy for everybody now, and -sorry to say so- reminds me a now to other restaurant chains like Dannys in Laredo. Don't misunderstand me, renovation was done GREAT, just is not my preferred style. And finally, I in person think that they keep that place very cold, AC is turned on to cold for me, unfortunately . . . In Laredo, we don't have many choices when it comes to American buffets. However, Golden Corral always satisfies. Large variety of food, all of which are decent tasting. You can't expect much from a buffet, but the food that they DO have, aren't bad. Really great value. I will be back! read more

Not sure why reviewers are calling the food fresh...it really isn't. I've been here a couple of times, much to my dismay, and have always left unsatisfied. The silverware is never properly clean. I have found bits of food stuck to my utensils numerous times. The food would be a lot better if the bar was supervised, a lot of the food gets manhandled by hooligans with no manners. The restrooms are disgusting, just touching the door handle can risk you getting aids. And last but not least, the food just isn't all that great maybe in other locations but certainly not this one. read more

This is the first Golden Corral that I have been to that did not have a senior discount, the food was tolerable but not the greatest.

I've been here a few times, the foods pretty decent and the staffs attentive and helpful.

Service was good, very clean location, very busy, went in at lunch time and it was packed, very good food, quesadillas had no flavor but everything else was awesome, very noisy as well but can't tuned that down with so many kids in there. Will definitely recommend this place. read more

While visiting family I stayed next door at the Marriott and for all 4 days this was my place to eat. I would eat 4 plates and that covered the entire day. Having tried several locations in the lone star state and Arizona I'm glad we finally have one here in L.A.
