At that point, I felt somewhat obligated to stay. Had I been told upfront that breakfast was still available but carried an additional $3 charge, I could have made the decision whether to stay or have brunch elsewhere. The food itself was enjoyable, and I had been looking forward to trying this restaurant. I was just let down by the lack of upfront communication regarding the surcharge.
