Really friendly service, well at least from the sales agent that helped us that day. This location is impresivley large. They have a large variety of inventory, from the latest shoes and sunglasses. It is super clean and quiet as expected. Again my sales agent was very patient and had a great personality. There isn't much to add on, we went in for shoes and didn't find anything we liked. Located in the Hotel Vancouver, right next door to the Omega store. I've worked in the CBD all these years and have not walked into here in all this time. Lots of stuff for women, and some of it was quite nice I must admit. Not that I looked very closely at it. There is next to nothing here for men. They only carry accessories such as shoes, ties, wallets, cologne, etc. Nothing for you to put onto your upper body. I scratch my head as to why they would do this??? There is a Leone in town, and they do carry crazy expensive stuff for men, so why wouldn't this store??? There were a couple of very nice ties tho. I visited the Vancouver Gucci at the Fairmont during the Thanksgiving weekend. I was looking for a purse that has multiple purpose way to carry. A sales associate introduced himself, Dean and suggested a few options. I said I'm going to think about it, and come back later. Dean said he will put the bag on hold. Few hours later, I went back to the store with my family, I saw another bag that catches my eye. I ask about it, and he said this is a backpack. Then I look at the back there's a latch on the back locks the strap. I ask if the straps come off and can interchange to a different bag. Dean says NO! I'm like ok...After he fiddled around with it. He said oh you can do this and turn in to another bag. I thought it's kind of neat. I went ahead and got the bag anyway and thought it would work. Little did I thought, the straps for the backpack part was to short, and it was hanging too high on the back. So I did saw another bag on the Gucci website. So the next morning, I went back to the store, Dean and the rest of the staff was chatting amongst each other, he said you're back! I said yeah the straps on the backpack was too short for me. While he was trying to unpack the bag from the package, I was trying to look for something to exchange. I can sense the sales associate was not happy at all. I was inquiring about a bag of a color on the display. He said we don't have it! I said are you sure? We only have this in brown leather in black color. I said I don't like the bag that big. He said then just get the white leather bag. I said but online it shows you have this style in this size. He said Oh! That one? I help you check, oh it's in Toronto. I said I will be back during Christmas, if so can that be ordered. He said yeah! So he said are you sure you don't want to exchange for anything else?? I said no. Then he was from smiling to an upset face. Couple days later I got a costumer service survey from Vancouver Gucci. I believe he was too upset. He call me on his own cell phone on his behalf and left a nasty message on my phone cussing me effing me this and that! I wish I could give zero I have bought a wallet two years ago, after one just one year when we were locked down tge chain and the logo list their shininess and the back Of wallet poped off . When I went to the store to take advantage of the guaranty they had talked about the day of perchais, they told me the guaranty has been expired 2 months ago ! I don't know how I could claim during lockdown ! After negotiations they accepted just change the logo not repaire the leather and the chaine! When I have called them after over one month , they told me it would be ready between 4 or 6 weeks from the day the have sent my wallet to N.Y which was August 3rd!  While I gave them my wallet in July! it is very disappointing ! The material is getting worse day by day and the Service is not the same they promise when I perchais! We'll throw this into the "never again" category. I went here, dressed up, post client meeting, feeling like a good browse and maybe purchase (that I can't afford but could be swayed). NOPE. I was greeted by no one but instead looked up and down suspiciously. I started to feel like a criminal before I made it into the accessories section and when I braved up the courage to ask about a wallet, I was again looked up and down with suspicion. The dour faced clerk finally obliged and showed me the wallet but by then I'd had enough. I half expected to be tackled upon leaving. Dear Gucci: we're in a recession. I am a Gucci fan..and a bigger fan of the Gucci in downtown Vancouver. I couldn't understand how the previous reviews had many complaints about the Chinese staff there...since when I was there a few weeks ago the Chinese staff were all replaced by new staff who were extremely friendly, professional and knowledgable even though I didn't buy anything that day. Dava Carter assisted me and she helped me with a selection for their beautiful wallets. She was very patient and I liked how she never pushed me and told me to take my time and I can come back if I wanted. All the other employees were very warm too including the security guard. They get A+ in customer service. Highly recommend it. I think a lot of their items are prettier and more refreshing than Louis Vuitton...which is too common. Don't mistaken me..I still love my LV's! read more

I definitely prefer the Gucci store than the Gucci in Holt Renfrew. The staff seem friendly at this one, and they greet you right away with a smile. At Holts it feels like they're constantly judging you or pressure you to buy but at this Gucci it's so much better and the staff are awesome! Every time I come in here, I'm here after work so I look haggard and tired but they still give me great service regardless of how I look! They always seem to have a lot of staff on hand which can make browsing awkward for some but for me I always know what I'm looking for and I don't mind them helping me and giving me their advice. Of course some days I want to be left alone but I find they're pretty good at gauging what I'm feeling. I recently bought a red swing zip case to use as a wallet and Monika (the sweetest and most helpful sales associate I've EVER MET) got me a new one from the back. I came back the next day because I decided I wanted a Guccissima and she happily let me compare the two even though they were closing and didn't rush me at all! She did my exchange with no questions asked. Great no pressure service! Then a few weeks later because of their great service I went in after getting a raise to buy myself something and left quickly with a Betty chain wallet. The two guys (one was Caucasian the other Asian; I only put that in there because I'm trying to show that regardless of race, their customer service was exceptional) helping me were nice, efficient and greeted me quickly. No pressure to buy, they were happy to show me what I needed and I bought anyway because they were so nice and I felt so at ease. I highly recommend the Gucci store over Holts for their attentiveness, and ability to genuinely be concerned for the customer and not just the sale. Completely amazing customer service! read more

The store is kind of like a 'q' in shape, you walk around in a circle passing by a fair assortment (for a Vancouver flagship) of women's and men's bags, leather goods, scarves, belts, jewelry, watches, and some ready to wear before approaching a rectangular area lined with women's shoes and 1 more wall of bags. Though I don't consider myself a very frequent shopper of Gucci, I do enjoy the brand and pop into the Hotel Vancouver store on occasion. Every visit I make, I try to be assisted by Katerina, who has been delightful to work with time-over-time as she does take genuine interest and attention in finding out what kind of items you would be interested in and which would suit you. Further to this, I think the main reason for this post is to applaud outstanding customer service when you see it. In today's highly competitive luxury designer goods environment, you can no longer only depend product offerings to retain loyal customers. The people behind the brand such as the SAs on the front line play a significant part in shaping our experiences and opinions of the brand, and hence determine whether or not we will visit again. Most recently I had few mishaps including order mix ups and an after-sales servicing on a watch which was forgotten about for a few months with no follow-up. In the end, Katerina was quick to act and what thoroughly impressed me from a businessman's perspective was her ability to 1) acknowledge the problem 2) offer solutions on how to fix the problem! and 3) she kept the communication lines constantly flowing throughout the process. She had also come to my office on her day off to make things right once the error was realized. This is the epitome of going above and beyond; I highly recommend her for anyone making a first visit or just needs a good SA. read more

1st time ever stepping in, and have to say it's a lot more cosier than I thought. I mean, prices are up there with LV nearby, but there, you really have to be on your best behaviour lol. Not much clothing here for men's but an impressive display of shoes, a separate section. And he was very rude and kept looking at other customers. If you are working for a designer brand company you should expect the proper service and maybe they will buy something. I've been to many Gucci stores and receive exceptional service from every store no matter how people looked and if they were just in to browse or not. Whoever stops by this store. Katarina is the best SA out of any one from any luxury store I have ever had. She is incredibly friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, genuine and NEVER pushes a product on you or makes you feel rushed. I only buy something from Gucci usually twice a year, and when I go I call in to make sure Katarina is there because it's always wonderful to see her. After today's experience I would have given no star if that was an option. Today was a completely different experience than last time... Last time the manager was giving my champagne and was really nice... Maybe it's because I didn't have my bf with me telling me to choose what I want for my bday. I get to the Gucci store around 540 pm and both doors are locked. I go door to door and ring the door bell and no one comes. I call the hotels main number and ask what time they are closed and they tell me they are open till 6pm. Since I only have 12 mins or so now I walk around the store again thinking maybe just this door is closed. NOPE both doors are locked but now I see people in there so I call the front desk again and ask to be transferred to the Gucci store it rings and rings and finally someone answers. I ask "what time do you close today" he responds "6 o clock". So I ask him why are the doors locked he says "oh we are closed". Wait a sec you just told me 6 so I tell him I have been standing outside for almost 10 mins so they better open the doors. He tries to tell me it's 6 o clock even though it was really 5:51pm ( wouldn't the store want a potential sale????). So I finally get him to come open the door and the first thing he says is that they have VIP shoppers right now so that's why they are closed and I said okay well you said 6. (He gives me a quick scan... maybe he let me in because I had a Louis Vuitton bag and was dressed decently so he thought maybe I am a serious buyer)... He ended up letting me in and says you have 5 mins... Despite the time restraint given I stupidly ended up buying something for $550. Usually when I buy something I just give them my card and they bring the machine to me but he asked me to come to area a certain area to make the payment... maybe he didn't want me looking around anymore with the "VIP" customers. On a good note he did wrap the ribbon nicely on the box really the ribbon on a box was the best part??!! tbut by this time I was already annoyed but lucky for him I was out of there by 6 although the other sales staff were being overly politely and patient with these people visiting from Dubai and this Chinese older lady and her daughter who was looking at 8 belts who I think only ended up buying one which was going to end up being less than my purchase. So now I really feel like going back to return my purchase and going to the store where they actually make me feel good about dropping $550 for a pair of whatever shoes. read more

Their customer service was horrible. I wanted a wallet there. A stuff told me they only have 1 left and it's the sample one. I said OK, I'll take that one. please find a clean box. But the box she brought me was not nice. So I asked her nicely again. then she told me that she found a new wallet. so she showed me. I found the logo mark is not in the middle. so I told her. She said she doesn't understand what I mean. It's good. And she was a little mad.I didn't want to see her face anymore so I just took it. Then I went to another mall to buy other stuff. I found another GUCCI store there! they had the same wallet!! So I explained to the staff about the wallet and he said it's the last one, and kept it for me. I told him I'll be back after refund the one I bought. So I went back to the first store and told her I found a nice one and want to refund this. It's a present and it's expensive, so I want it to be in good condition. She was angry and said ' Why you go to other store, we have 4 more. I should deserve this. I helped you chose it.' I said OK, you told me you only have this one, and you don't see what I mean about the logo. she start saying' oh, now I see what you mean. and pick one said this one is in the middle.' I told her that the other store is keeping it for me already....She said' Don't worry, he won't die even you don't go back.' She was angry I could see it. and I didn't want to have more trouble, so I pick one and she retied the ribbon for me. THE RIBBON WAS UPSIDE DOWN of the box. This store is a disgrace to the Gucci standard of luxury. Staff gossip about clients and are judgemental like they forget you make more money than they do. Not a lot of merchandise choices but they say they are flagship. The store can't even afford to provide decently sized clothes to their staff. Sales associate Katrina's uniform is at least three sizes too small. Manager is nice but staff is unprofessional. The asian sales associates are nice but no one else is. Overall, the store feels outdated and lacking in merchandise in addition to a lacklustre staff. read more

Let me start off by saying Dava Carter is the only sales associate I will ever deal with in here again. Here's why: I live down the street from this store, and I'm a fan of a lot of their more subtle offerings and have popped in and out a few times over the past couple months, and apparently before today I was wearing some type of invisibility cloak. Books are judged by their covers in stores like this by most of the associates. If you come in with a t-shirt, shorts, and Nike Airs on and are not Asian, it's been my experience that I was automatically not worth the time of any of the associates working in there (before my experience with Dava today). Today I decided I wanted one of their belts which I had already picked out online, so I went down to the store and became invisible as usual when I went inside. Finally after walking around for 10 minutes or so I was getting irritated so I flagged down a ~30 year old Asian associate and showed him the picture of the belt I wanted. He immediately said they were sold out in both colors at that store and their other store in Toronto, but said I could order it online. Sure I thought... I guess that would work. I tried on a few other belts just for sizing purposes and left to Starbucks down the street where I planned on placing the order. I only have an American credit card so placing the order online didn't work because it needed a Canadian billing address. I found this frustrating, so I decided to walk back to the store and ask if there was any way they could just order directly from the online warehouse for me. I got back to the store where Dava approached me and asked if she could help. I showed her a picture of the belt on my phone, and before I even got a chance to tell her what happened she said "We have that in both colors, but maybe only the brown in your size". Astonished by this I waited a couple minutes while she grabbed the belt in both colors (the black one I wanted they only had in a size smaller) and proceeded to try them on. I decided I wanted the black one and she graciously offered to order it from the Toronto location. I'm not sure why the original Asian guy I talked to couldn't have taken 2 seconds to look in the system rather than wasting my time and making me come back. Was it because they are on commission and he didn't think a $300 belt purchase was worth his time? Did I not look to him like I could afford the belt, and was just kicking the tires? Who knows... but that's pretty sad no matter what. Anyway, I can't stress enough that you should see Dava. She's pleasant and will make your shopping experience there worthwhile. If you don't talk to her, in my experience you better come in there with polished hard-bottoms, a Patek Philippe, a suit, and turn yourself into an Asian because otherwise you're likely not getting any help. read more

I had to exchange a gift I purchased at a Gucci in Europe (I was nervous the Gucci in Vancouver would not allow an exchange without a physical receipt as the tax free refund at the airport took my original copy; not to mention, I purchased from an entirely different country). Thankfully, it was not a problem! I showed a picture of my receipt on my phone, exchanged my gift, and was out the door. The staff were super helpful and genuine. Received a Gucci belt as a gift but it was too small. Went to the store, they told me they didn't have the belt I needed in stock so they would have to order it. They tell me they will call when it's in. 6 weeks later and no call. I call them, they tell me it was never ordered and that they will have it sent in from Toronto by Tuesday. It is now Thursday so I call them. They tell me they should be getting it in tomorrow. My girlfriend calls not knowing that I had already called and they tell her a sales person just walked over to Holt Renfrew and got it for me. Will be going there today to HOPEFULLY pick up my belt. Pathetic customer service, no communication. I guess once the sale is made and there is no commission in it for them, the staff no longer gives a shit. Wish me luck! read more

I was surprised with my experience after seeing positive reviews. On my first visit I was left waiting for a sales associate to acknowledge my presence. I finally had to ask the security guard track one down for me. I was looking for a particular item and put down my name, phone number, and email so that I could be notified once it arrived in the store. A month after I was told I would receive a call, I returned and once again it took me quite a while to get the attention of a sales associate as they were engrossed in a conversation between themselves. One associate actually walked passed me to another group that were clearly not speaking English. The sales associate told me the item was not in stock even before looking at the inventory. By chance I saw the item I needed in the hands of another associate that happened to walk by. It turns out that the item has been in stock for several weeks and they never had record of my request. I did not receive an apology and I decided then and there never to purchase another item from Gucci in Vancouver. I usually have a great experience at other Canadian locations. I highly recommend visiting other design houses located at the Fairmont such as Dior or Louis Vuitton. read more

I went into Gucci the other day with my sister in-law and mother in-law as well as we were picking up a wallet that needed to be repaired, they tried to repair it and they just ended up making it look even worse then when we bought it, the MANAGER ( asian guy) was Soo rude to us and giving us attitude as we were talking and he said that he is sick and tired of dealing with us and trying to repair out wallet for the 2nd time!! They actually made it look like a defect wallet now!!! We said that this is unacceptable and he said he didn't care!! He had the worst customer service i have ever herd in my life, and i go there a lot to purchase a lot of items from that location, we asked to look at the jewelry before this all happened and he said he doesn't have a key!!!???? Who doesn't have a key to the jewelry????? Especially a manager!!! We asked to have a phone number to the gucci company, and he said for us to go home and google it!! Wtf are you kidding me!
