I've always had a great experience, good service and delicious, consistent food. I took myself out to eat recently to work and lunch, and it was great. Order the 1/4 Rotisserie chicken dark meat, with two sides, I used to order it with a side of chifa vegetables but it's something they changed on their menu. I wanted dessert but had no room. I've had the passion fruit panna cotta in the past and it was delicious. Great for a business or celebration dining experience.

So when I found out there was one in Oakland, I had to go try it! When we got there, we were greeted and seated really quickly, which was a plus! I ordered a cup of their sangria, and of course, it was delicious. Anytime I come to LIMÓN, the sangria is a MUST! Normally, my partner and I get a pitcher to share, but this time I just got a cup, and it was still so refreshing and good. We ordered the Saltado de Pollo, which was good, but I have to say, I still think the original Lomo Saltado with beef is WAY better! We also got the truffle mac & cheese, and it was delicious. It wasn't too creamy or too dry.., it was just perfectly cheesy! The Chicharrón de Pollo was SO good! The chicken had a really good crunch, and it comes with this delicious lemonade sauce that you dip the chicken into. Definitely a must try! One thing I really love about LIMÓN is how fast everything comes out. If you're hungry, this is definitely a great spot because your food comes out quickly, fresh, and delicious! The staff was also really kind and helpful. There's plenty of seating and a beautiful bar if you want to come in for a drink and some food. It's a great spot for lunch, dinner, or even a date night! Overall, I had another great experience at LIMÓN, and the Oakland location did not disappoint! I'll definitely be back!

The staff member who called me notified me that I could reach Martin with having our pre-orders ready because we were on a schedule and wanted to make sure we didn't waste time with people deciding and finally ordering. I emailed the orders a week in advance, and Martin and his team were in touch to confirm our table and presence as they were going to start firing the orders ten minutes before our arrival. Our party of 12 was seated promptly and attended to very well. The orders came out and I was able to direct them to the person who ordered. I even ordered too much for the table in french fries, and they were able to get them to another table and remove them from our tab. I was so grateful as they could have easily refused as they were part of our pre-order and ready to go. They were so prompt that we had an extra 20 minutes before we needed to reconvene our meeting. Everyone enjoyed their meals and I think the team here did above and beyond. The staff was pleasant, receptive and prompt. I would definitely recommend Bocanova for your event.

Just found out this year they reopened in downtown. Kinda late for me as I think they've been here for probably 2 years. Underneath a massive hi-rise building so it wreaks of urban appeal. I think this version is more compact than the older location. The inside seems mostly bar area with maybe a few tables. But there's a nice closed off outdoor patio that can easily match the seating from inside. I wanna sit out there next for a meal. Came early evening and stumbled onto their happy hour. Well an hours worth left. Started with a crisp Trumer Pils as I didn't want to jump right into a cocktail. $10 is their HH price probably $12+ regular. You're definitely gonna have to pony up to downtown premiums here. Ordered a dozen oysters cuz they're advertised at $2 per 6 minimum. Bartender places order then 4 minutes later to be told that they were out of them. So no oyster po boys either. Womp womp. Redirect to Crispy Calamari ($9 HH/3.5*). Looked good on arrival, nice portion and tubes and tentacles did indeed look crisp. But that slightly spicy breading/coating was glaringly salty. I tried a dip from their sauce and that was crazy tart from lime (made the inside of my cheeks contract). We muscled through it and just drank more of our drinks to chase the salty bites. Chilcano ($13 HH/3.5*) Pisco, lime, ginger ale. A Peruvian classic nice and refreshing on a warm summers evening. Ceviche Verde Tostada ($11/4*). This was pretty good. Nice sized chunks of fish cured in a heavy dose of lime. Maybe a tad too sour again, like I think they need to soften their lime juice a bit. Garnished with sliced onion, cucs, cilantro and sliced avocado. Crisp tostada shell very crisp and sturdy held up to all the moisture from the ceviche. The Bocanova ($17/4.5*) This totally fit my palate. Cucumber infused vodka, elderflower liqueur, lemon and ginger served up and chilled. Very smooth yet you felt a delayed warming glow. I'd come back for this cocktail alone. We were going to dine for dinner too but nothing on their entree list was pulling us. Plus the apps had some hiccups so didn't want to explore any further. Lots of dining options within walking distance. I'll try them again I'm sure. They are friendly and maybe I can catch them on a better day.

The most interesting part of the meal was in the middle of it, they served a dish of fruit and veg in a fresh crema. Perfect palate cleanser and super unique!
