My kitchen sink backed up on the day before Thanksgiving. I called another agency who I had used before and they said they would come out. At 4:00 in the afternoon I was told they couldn't come out after all and would be at my home on Friday. With a houseful of guests coming for Thanksgiving I had to have my sink fixed. After calling 6 plumbing companies Guardian said they would come out to my home, they were here within the hour, fixed the problem and were very clean and conscientious. Terrible! I had used them 3 times before and was very satisfied for minor toilet repairs and so I called them for a shower mixer valve that wasn't getting hot. The estimate when he arrived was approximately $600. which I thought was pretty high but I gave him the ok. Then he showed me that the diverter was not working and said we needed to replace that too. Now the estimate was over $1200. and in the process he twisted the copper pipe inside the wall. He said it was soft copper and shouldn't have been used but I subsequently found out that wasn't true, but now he was saying he was going to have to cut out a section of the shower wall and then put in a plate afterward- estimate now over $3000! I said no to all of that. I had a friend come look at it this weekend who knows what he's doing. He repaired it for less than $70. for parts and didn't need to cut the wall. After seeing what a simple repair it was and how untruthful he was I am shocked and angered. Never again! read more

We had some jerk jump our front gate and slam down on our above-ground pipe, breaking it. These guys came out, replaced the part right away. Then the part failed and they came right back and replaced that! Very nice guys and they stand behind their work. Definitely recommend! read more

This has got to be the most responsive plumbing companies ever. During my kitchen renovation I needed to move a valve down a few inches to clear a new sink, dispatch said they would have a plumber out within an hour to quote, that was exactly what happened which was amazing within an hour I had Josh at my door and he was extremely professional, he answered all my questions and had a quote for me very quickly. I was happy to hear the quote was accurate to include time and parts. I've called another plumber for a shower leak in the past and after the repair they also charged parts and I wasn't told that with the quote. After 21 years, our old Water Heater decided to give up. Called Guardian, they came out (great Team, John, and Jared (?), first we tried to relight the old unit, to no avail. Parts are N/A, wasn't up to code any more, so we decided to replace. Within 3 hours we had a brand new, up to date, more efficient and up to code unit installed, and hot water flowed once again from every faucet.....The guys were professional, quick, personable, and cleaned up after the job was done. You can always tell when a company grooms their employees to become salesmen. I called Guardian to fix a spigot that I had broken off because it had a constant leak. When the plumber arrived he accessed the situation and told me he had three options in fixing it. (Textbook maneuver). That made me nervous off the bat. He made suggestions about replacing the pressure regulator because the house was around 17 years old. I said does that mean that the pressure regulator is bad? He had no answer. So he began to tell me I could replace the whole riser over $1000 bucks. I said hell no. What's option two? For $600 buck he can do the repair but not as intense as the first option. I said hell no. What's my third option? For $300 he said can install a new spigot but couldn't guarantee how long it would hold when he soddered it. I gave him the go ahead. It pisses me off when a company offers to fix shit when it doesn't need fixing. So buyer beware, they remind of car mechanics. read more

He went over pricing and took the time to explain everything to us. We had a stopped up toilet. Guardian sent a man out (on the time quoted) to evaluate and quote the job. This was new to me, as most plumbers quote a minimum just to come out. Guardian allowed you to make the decision as to whether to use them or not after you received their quote. The young man (John Wallace) was pleasant, honest, and effective. Guardian was referred to me by a neighbor when we had a major back up in our main drainage line. Of course this happened on the weekend, but Derek came out immediately on a Sunday and addressed the issue, very affordably. They also recommended a remediation/restoration company who came out immediately. Jesse with Guardian arrived Monday and assessed the cause of the back up, fixed one of the leaks in the house, working with the remediation crew, then gave us 3 options to address our main line. Guardian started work promptly the next day. Jesse and his crew spent the entire day on the project, they were meticulous about excavating and explained progress along the way. Very happy with our service, and first use of, Guardian Plumbing. The person taking the call did a great job listening and gathering information. They were able to get us a plumber early than expected....ON CHRISTMAS EVE!!! We had two plumbers who were both great. Jesse was very nice and professional. These guys were truly awesome. My elderly mother who has some serious health issues and will be undergoing major surgery soon, had a water leak inside the walls of 2 adjoining bathrooms. (It was purely coincidence I was there when it happened). Guardian came out ASAP. Sometimes this can be a long process when insurance claims need to be filed, adjusters, etc.... Anthony told us exactly what to do and it really helped expedite things. He connected us with a restoration company who came out the same day. Their schedule was really booked but I explained the situation. The office staff were so understanding. They were able to shuffle things around and was able to come the next day and fix the leak. Everyone was kind, friendly and got the job done in such a timely manner. This was a stressful situation and everyone at Guardian was exceptional and professional. I don't usually like to leave poor reviews for businesses, but I also don't like being lied to. We needed some plumbing work done so I called several plumbers to get quotes. Of the four I called, only one gave me a quote over the phone, the others said they had to come to my home to see the scope of the work. Two men from Guardian arrived and looked at the work, and gave me an estimate. While doing so the one who seemed to be in charge (did all the talking) proudly showed me Guardian Plumbers' standardized pricing on his tablet. I had suspected that they wanted to send someone over so they could play the "well, we're here, let's get this done" card, but that was confirmation. Sorry, I can't do business with folks who blatantly lie to potential customers. BTW - I got the work done with another local plumbing company for over $100 less than you quoted. read more
