I called them to replace my tub spigot, and they did just that, but were incredibly sloppy in the job. I was given an initial quote over the phone and after he looked at my shower he told me it was going to be an extra $80 because he had to solder. I agreed. Didn't know the extra charge meant he was going to solder my shower wall as well and completely ruin it. That was cool. On top of that, the caulking work around the spigot was SLOPPY! I was literally wiping away excess and it wasn't smooth at all. Also, he left a giant, long glob of caulk in my tub. Luckily I was able to wipe it away before it dried. The soldering left a long streak from the spigot to the tub as well; it does not wash off. Neither does the soldering under the spigot. Because it is burned. If you like attention to detail and a clean shower, these are not the plumbers for you. Glad I can shower again but now my shower is ruined. Oh, and halfway through the project they said they had to run to Home Depot to grab a part. Home Depot is a 4 minute drive from my house. Tell me why these guys were gone for AN HOUR and didn't bother to say "hey were grabbing lunch" or that they were running late. I didn't think they were coming back. Just garbage service and sloppy work, look elsewhere. read more

The worst i have ever seen.my outside faucet had a little leak coming out of the handle. i went to Lowes and bought a new on & off valve for $7.50 to put into the pipe. it still had a small leak. the plumbers wanted $395.00 to put the whole new hose bib that i bought on. i said no, just take the new valve's washer out & put in the old valve and see if that works. so i gave him my pliers to remove the valve and insert new washer and no leak, yeah ,the little drip was fixed. then with my disabled veteran & senior discount they charged me $150.00. my tools, my parts their labor 20 minutes. the real water problem was coming from the 83 year old lady's motorhome's water tank, it needed a new plastic hose attached to the holding tank that i fixed for her yesterday on 4-11-21 John Lockwood 951 285-3320 read more

As a return satisfied customer, I summoned them to clear one bathroom sink drain to which they responded. However, at first I was changed $332.00. After I complained I was told I was accidentally overcharged and they would reimburse me with a check for $100. $232.00 to clear one drain I feel is excessive and I shall request an appraisal before any work gets done if I use them again. read more

Quick easy water heater replacement Our heater gave up after 22 years of service Guardian team came out, we tried to resuscitate, but no luck Approved a replacement, and voila, 3 hours later, we have a new heater and hot water once again. I decided to use Yelp's 'Request a Quote' since I had an active water leak and was most likely going to be running around with my head cut off. Because of this leak I had to shut off water at the main to the whole house and decided it was an emergency (part of the questions.) Yelp stated that they usually answer within 30 minutes, but it was just shy of 1.5 hours. On top of that it was an automated response about talking about setting up an appointment to get them situated with my "tailored needs." My only need is to replace the corroded shower valve. After responding to their request I have had zero response from them, all the while several other companies have already reached out, even to say they are busy until next week. Our water heater went (leaking, what a mess), called Guardian the next morning, they came to my home that day at scheduled time. They quickly assessed the problem, and discussed options with my wife as I was away on business. My wife and the technician called me together on a speaker phone discussed options with me, we decided on a new tank less system. They allowed me to conduct the complete transaction over the phone and we had the entire system installed the next day. We only had one complete day without hot water. Amazing in a day where customer service is no where to be found. They took away the old tank, cleaned up the entire area, and life git back to normal. Ok Yelpers here's the 411 why this business earned a one star review. It all started when I received an email from EMWD that my water usage was unusually high because the water meter was constantly running. After some DIY diagnostics, it wasn't a flapper valve in one of the toilets.On 2/21'23 I called a couple of plumbers and Preston from Guardian Plumbers came out to my house. After looking at all the fixtures inside, told me it was probably a slab leak and the repair would be a pipe reroute with leak detection, with two quotes from $3k-$3600. Obviously I was skeptical of this bid when he had no exact location of the water leak. My significant other said to hit the pause button and get a second opinion, and I did. I went on Yelp, again, a got lucky with Canyon Hills Plumbing. After an almost sleepless night, the awesome technician came out the next morning and I explained the problem. The first thing he did was to check the water meter and then turned off the main water feed to the sprinkler system. Guess what? The meter dial stopped! He explained that is the first thing to check when there is no apparent/visual water leak. End of story, it cost me zero dollars and the thing I needed a was new sprinkler valve. Moral of the story is stay away from these thieves, they just wanted to take my money, not knowing where the problem was that is terrible business practice. always get more than one opinion and good luck to all. read more

This company was hired to do repairs at my condo community. The plumbers ended up damaging my property and making me regret allowing them into my home. I tried reaching out to this business on 7/5/23 via email and received a text from Amy that same day. i explained in my email request what happened and expressed my concerns. She said that she would forward my claim to management and that they would reach out to me. On 7/12/23 I reached out to her again for an update and she said management had not responded, so I asked her to please inquire again. It's been almost a month and still no resolution. I took video of my place before the work was done and after. I took video because I was not going to be present when the repairs were being done. I was under the impression that my belongings would be covered and that these plumbers could be trusted while I was away at work. That was not the case. They scraped up my refrigerator, left silver stains/splatters all over my cabinets, dishwasher and walls, ruined my kitchen and bathroom rugs with their dirty work shoes, broke the keychain that held my house key, used my restroom without my permission, left an empty gatorade bottle on the floor, and somehow managed to tear my couch when they moved it. I don't like giving negative reviews which is why I tried to reach out to them first, but what they did is not right so I'm warning anyone who is considering hiring them. When questioned by our property manager they claimed that none of this was true, that they did cover everything up. My video and pictures prove otherwise. If they refused to take responsibility then, they probably won't since I haven't gotten a response. Funny how their slogan is "Someone You Can Trust." Clearly, they can't be trusted. I understand that sometimes things get damaged and it's an accident, but them claiming it wasn't their doing is what's really upsetting. So customers beware and keep a watchful eye if you do hire these careless plumbers. read more

Never fixed the leak! I contacted guardian plumbers regarding a leak under my kitchen sink. We had just moved in and noticed the leak. They did respond promptly and I made an appointment for them to come and check it out. Two technicians came and told me the leak was caused by my kitchen faucet. I had them change it out but while they were doing an inspection to check for any other leaks they told me my water softener was bad for the plumbing and had a "specialist" come out to check and he proceeded to try to sell me on a filtration system. The guy that came out was very condescending and asked to speak to my husband(he was at work) instead of me. I asked him a few questions about what chemicals and/or toxins the system filters out. When I told him I would let him know about whether or not we would get the system he acted upset and insisted we should get it. Very uncomfortable conversation considering it would cost over $5000 not a decision to take lightly. Overall not great service they were way more worried about selling me a filtration system versus fixing my leak. They changed the faucet but the leak was not fixed. It still leaks even after calling them and having them come out again. They still were not able to fix the leak. I would not recommend! read more
