After in putting all information I kept getting an error to add all required info even though I had. So, we just go down. Arrived about 1:30 on a Tuesday and was surprised there were only 6 people in line. Before entering the line you must scan your drivers license via a kiosk. We stood in line about 10 minutes and were called by Duane I believe, might have been Dwight. Since I had printed out paperwork and filled out at home and had all required documents this was a seamless process. I think it took me longer to track down my marriage license than it took Mr. Duane to process our new travel licenses. Ladies, if you've changed your name after marriage take your marriage license. Even though years ago I had updated my social and dl it was required because my name now does not match my birth certificate. Duane was wonderful. Personable, efficient, happy. By 2:00 o'clock we were on our way home. But when we left there were about 30-40 people in line and the parking lot was jammed. My experience within the mvd office was five star but the hassle of the website trying to make an appointment, as others have stated made me take a star away.

Apparently their view of overnight is very different than mine. When I think overnight I think 1 night. What they do not disclose is that they use USPS priority mail express - which they say is a between 1-3 day delivery. They don't even have USPS in the description. They do say USPS in the other 2 options but no mention of USPS in the 'overnight' option. My application left Thursday with a before 6pm Saturday as my 'overnight' delivery.

I called and asked what I needed to bring, and was told "Nothing but the Drivers License." I arrived and was told that I needed proof of residency an my passport or birth certificate. Maybe this was for the Real ID requirements. I went home, came back and waited, this time without a reservation. Still it wasn't too bad. In the end, they have always gotten the job done quickly. It sure beats the alternative!

Marcos was very helpful, educated, and had a great personality! I was out within 10 minutes! When I first arrived it was so convenient to just check in with your birthday and last name. There were about 6 people in front of me and everyone got called to the desk very quickly. If I ever need any service done that requires MVD assistance, this will be the location I'll be going to! No more stressing about long lines and rude employees. Also, if anyone didn't know, you can transfer your plate from one vehicle to another for a small fee, if you want to keep your plate- AND you can get reimbursed for your tabs if they still have time left on them until they expire. I,e; my tabs didn't expire until October 2026 and I had to register a new vehicle, so I got $33 back to put towards my new registration! I'm glad I did the lady that took my photo was very friendly and she asked me if I thought the photo was OK and I was like Yep beautiful love it. I look so much less crazy now!! additionally, I also had to renew my registration and upgrade to a handicap plate or whatever upgrade downgrade whatever you wanna call so I got all that done in one shot. So the convenience and also the friendliness of being able to actually get a decent photo is worth the price. that said it's pretty expensive. But it is nice to have options. From the moment I walked in, the staff was rude and completely unhelpful. They barely explained anything to me, and when I had questions, I was met with short, dismissive responses. They didn't even take the time to properly explain the process, which meant I had to come back to finish things that could've been handled during the first visit. To make things worse, they spent the entire time speaking in Spanish, laughing and making fun of me. I could tell they were talking about me, and I felt incredibly uncomfortable and embarrassed. It was clear they didn't care about customer service or making me feel like a valued customer. I've never felt more disrespected or belittled in a place that is supposed to be there to help. This place needs a serious overhaul in both its staff and its treatment of customers. I will never return to West Valley Motor Vehicle Services, and I highly recommend you avoid it if you want to avoid frustration, embarrassment, and terrible service.

The setup works similarly to the regular MVD -- you take a number, wait for your turn, and they have multiple service windows handling different transactions. I stopped in during my lunch break to transfer the title for my motorcycle and was expecting it to take much longer than it did. The woman who helped me was extremely friendly, professional, and walked me through the entire process step-by-step. Everything was handled quickly and efficiently, and she had me back out the door with enough time to actually enjoy lunch before heading back to work. As a disabled veteran he told me he could not accept a COPY of my DD214 and insisted the he needed the original, even though the website specifically stated a copy of your DD214, and that I would have to go to the main branch. I immediately requested a manager, which was contacted via phone mind you, to which they said my documentation was okay to use but that their ability to search veterans in their system was down and that I would again have to go to the main office. complete and total waste of my time.
