I have been here before and while there have been minor issues, Arizona Auto License Services is day and night over the state run Motor Vehicle Division. I did make a reservation and they had me in, in 3 minutes flat. Without was about 15 minutes. On my lat visit, I had to renew my license. I called and asked what I needed to bring, and was told "Nothing but the Drivers License." I arrived and was told that I needed proof of residency an my passport or birth certificate. Maybe this was for the Real ID requirements. I went home, came back and waited, this time without a reservation. Still it wasn't too bad. In the end, they have always gotten the job done quickly. I had actually scheduled an appointment at the real MVD, which is across the street and down a little ways. I was confused when I checked in, but then remembered this was a private company that charges a convenience fee for processing. The fee was about $25 for my issue and I just didn't feel like driving down the street to my appointment. An older, but not elderly man entered the office while I was waiting (which wasn't even a 10 minute wait). He asked me for help and I told him to scan the QR code. Seems he didn't have a phone. He was so filled with rage. He yelled at the clerks and demanded immediate attention, complaining that he scheduled an appointment and had to wait behind "yours truly" here. Funny, if he wasn't so angry, he could have figured this out himself but wouldn't listen when I told him the MVD is down the street and this is a private company. It's not the employee's fault that a private company decided to purchase down the street from the real MVD. People like that make the experience terrible for everyone. The service was excellent and got me in and out in less than 15 minutes. They answered all my questions and it was well worth it for me. read more

Saturday Experience: 12:30 PM: signed in using a IPad sitting at the corner of the employees Transaction Windows... 12:40 called up to sign take photo and pay: Payment: Expired renewal permit fee-$47.00 Drivers license Road test:$100.00 12:50: Told to take a seat and that there were 4 test waiting in front of us. 25 minutes per test give or take So a 2 hour wait. Opinion only: I should have went to ADOT MVD payed less and waited the same amount of time probably even less. So the choice is yours go to MVD and get shitty service for cheap or come here to get shitty service for an extra cost. How much is shitty service worth to you??? They are about 3 times the cost of the state ADOT. For example, my handicap placard was $15 when it is usually $5. If you would like to take a driver's license test, it is $70 when it is usually $25 at the state facility. What you get is warm and friendly service, short lines. They also say they are super friendly when it comes to the driving test. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. The rep told me if I didn't the first request would be free or I'd have to pay $20 something to get one. I went in and they told me I didn't ask for one. First off, why wouldn't I? Then they told me it would be $20 something to get one and I asked why when I just called, they said it would be free! I was told things change all the time there! Wow! This is a mixed emotions review. I've used this location several times and have brought friends for a quick no line transaction. I usually walk in to no lines. I do like the number of clerks available every time I've done business here. As far as third party locations this is my favorite due to the set up and I've never felt like I'm in the real DMV. Plenty of parking. Easy to drive and out of shopping center. You do pay a fee on top of DMV prices but that's what keeps them in business. How much?..... we'll I. Cant remember for certain. Today I walked early and I didn't get the usual smiley faces. I think I arrived prior to morning coffee. Eventually they started warming up and the smiles broke through the lack of coffee. One draw back is no public restrooms. And don't ask cause you will make everybody turn your way and look at you like how dare you ask for a bathroom. If you get stuck in a half a day wait across the street in the government ran DMV just skip Dutch bros for two days and get your DMV business taken care at this place. Pros - Quick service, clean environment, almost all of the services that the MVD offers are available and rarely a long wait. Cons - The overall customer experience is not satisfying. For the price you pay here which in some cases is close to 300% of what the MVD charges you would expect a friendly greeting as well as friendly, professional and very knowledgeable staff. Of the six occasions that I've visited this business only one has met these expectations. Always fast but lacking in the other for mentioned areas. Expect to wait 3+ hours when you arrive. Due to Covid-19 they make you text a number upon arriving and wait outside. They do tell you what number in line you are but do not update it. If you leave and they text you and you are not inside within seconds they skip you. Then you have to wait again. Best to arrive an hour before opening to be able to get seen. read more
