I stopped in for the first time ever to make a Shared Branching transaction back on Dec. 31th. It was approximately 2:15 p.m. and there were three tellers present. I literally stood there for at least a minute without any of them acknowledging my presence. They seemed more concerned about closing out for the day, with it being New Year's Eve and all, instead of servicing their sole customer. Yes, I was the ONLY one in the lobby and all of their heads were down, concentrating on whatever task they were each doing. When one finally greeted me after a minute of silence and asked if they could help me, they couldn't. She didn't know how to process a Shared Branching transaction or couldn't for some reason. I was helped by another teller. Not the best first impression your credit union gave me and based on it, Alhambra Credit Union doesn't deserve to have that heart on its signage. Disappointing. I will NOT be coming back and will use another credit union for my Shared Branching transactions. read more

I gave the credit union my new address in West Virginia. Still, when I $475 charge showed up in Arizona, they approved it. I wouldn't mind, but when I checked my account that morning, it said that it was on a three-day hold. So, I waited until the end of the work day to try to resolve the issue. But, by then they had paid the $475 (again, to an Arizona service,) Now they are saying they will try to get SOME of the money back. Ummm... Folks, it was YOUR mistake to pay the money. YOU pay me back. I'm so disappointed. If they had not put a three day hold on the purchase, I would have contacted someone immediately. But, they mislead me into thinking I could wait until the end of the day. read more

I am not one to write reviews, however this company needs to be exploited for their unethical business practices. We took out a car loan in 2011. The car was to be paid in full December of 2017. We received a balance owing still of over $6000. When contacted it took weeks for them to respond and finally tell us we had signed for a disability insurance that somehow was not included in our payment. We have never had that kind of insurance in the past and would never willing take out an insurance like that. The signed document clearly states that the insurances was included in our payment that we signed for. No statements reflect anything different and our payment book also shows the car being paid off in December. This is pure fraud. We are now in contact with an attorney. read more

I've been banking here for 33 years and have had paid off several vehicle loans, use their Visa credit card have used several other of their services over the years. The bankers who have been there for a while are always a delight to deal with and the people in the loan department are Top Notch. The newer counter tellers are different story. it seems like they can barely make eye contact with you or handle completing even the most basic transactions without looking perplexed, confused and asking each other for guidance. That's fine, we all have to learn our craft, somehow. This a is a school district's credit union, after all. it seems like it pains them to acknowledge you, even when you're the only one on line. I had a large amount of money from my other bank drafted in an official counter check, so that my son, who also has an account here, could deposit it into his checking/savings account, because I am selling our house and moving out of state... for good, in a few days. I am helping him get settled in his new place before he starts his first college courses for the upcoming semester. The teller took the check, deposited it but DIDN'T TELL HIM THAT IT WOULD TAKE 7 DAYS TO CLEAR because of a hold put on it due to the large amount. What are we supposed to do now? Why did she tell him/us this BEFORE she deposited it? He cannot get his storage unit, sign his lease or anything else for AN ENTIRE WEEK. I leave the state in 5 days. If I had know that, we would have gotten cash to deposit, or several smaller official checks to deposit one at a time, over the course of a few days. This situation is absurd and inhumane, as I now have to provide him with additional funding , which is a hardship in the middle of moving. All that the tellers gave us were blank stares and a no-care attitude. They have the combined IQ of a doorknob and even less compassion or passion for their jobs. read more

Great bank. I have used them for years. Very personal and kind. Some times yes... Tellers get busy and they wont be able to help you right away but any working person know this. Especialy around holidays. When i go in there they greet me by my first name. It isnt like those big banks that just see dollar signs. This bank sees people, not just another bank account. read more
