I like the fact that he called to tell me he was on his way and the time it would take to get to my house. This was important because a friend offered to drive from a great distance to sit with me until a locksmith arrived but with a short ETA, it wasn't necessary (saved my friend time and gas). Russel was friendly and worked quickly on that rainy evening to replace the lock on my security door. Unfortunately, because the lock was a deadbolt he had to drill through the key hole to remove the entire unit. Although a bit expensive, I'm very happy with the quality of service received from Jefferson Locksmith from the time I placed my call up until the end of the service call and I highly recommend them. If you don't think so, call someone from the burbs and find out the hard way. Joe the Lockman charges a fair price, provides excellent service, and runs his own business. He goes calls in the am and operates his store in Styvesant Plaza on Elmwood Ave in Buffalo, NY in the afternoon. He even can order and program your car key without charging and exorbitant fee like a car dealer would. And yes- he likes to eat dinner with his family. So if you need his services, leave a message. After talking to Nelson for several minutes and me asking a bunch of dumb questions, I set up time to get a new set of keys. I also had another set of keys (of course or how else would I drive there) where the buttons literally fell out and we lost them. In about 45 minutes, I got a brand new set of keys and a replacement for the other broken set for at least $60 less than getting a new set from a dealer. If I need keys (or safes - because they have a bunch), I will certainly come back here.
