I suggest…read moreRealFi consider kindly taking a short moment to let applicants know whether or not their application was rejected or accepted after they review it, instead of stringing the applicant along for half a year by keeping it in review status & not responding to emails or calls. RealFi DOES NOT RESPOND TO EMAIL inquires regarding how much more time will the process take, and what needed info may be missing, nor what we can do to speed up the process. RealFi DOES NOT RETURN PHONE CALLS. RealFi simply could have told me after reviewing my application that I did not qualify by calling one of two of the numbers I provided, or simply taking a short moment To email that I was missing more info. Any person in RealFi staff could have relayed it, instead of stringing me along for nearly half a year. I applied in autumn of 2021, it's now a week until Spring 2022. I am a disabled person with 10+ verifiable permanent income of over $1000 seeking a modest low income housing loan under 50K. All RealFi had to do was tell me I did not qualify instead of keeping my app status in "review" and holding my personal & financial information. RealFi would contact me if they needed further information. None of them bothered. RealFi left my family waiting in the dark for almost half a year.

I posted a scenario on behalf of my borrower on the Loan Factory marketplace to find the best possible rate for her. She had already received an aggressive rate from another lender but gave me the opportunity to find a better deal for a 10-year term loan. Many lenders didn't even offer 10-year loans on their fee sheets. That's when Mr. Peter Impagliazzo, AFR's representative, presented me with the best rate. At first, I wasn't sure if I could trust it--it seemed too good to be true. I asked Peter about the underwriting turn time, and he confidently promised that conditions would be cleared within 24 hours or less. I decided to give AFR a chance, and I'm very glad I did. The rate was real, with no excuses or changes throughout the process. AFR honored the pricing and stood behind their offer. Their underwriter moved quickly, and their statements were accurate--not just marketing claims. AFR's software is very innovative, and everything in their system is transparent. The underwriters were available during business hours, open to discussions, and receptive to my feedback when I provided valid explanations for certain conditions. One standout feature of their platform is the online dispute system for underwriting conditions. When you challenge a condition, the underwriter--or even a senior-level decision-maker--will respond. You're never ignored or left in the dark. They also have an "SOS" button that allows loan officers to flag urgent or time-sensitive issues. I used that feature once, and I received an extremely fast and helpful response from upper management. I hope loan officers don't abuse this feature so AFR can continue offering it. My borrower had a silent second loan from her employer, which would be forgiven after seven years of employment. This created complications on the closing date. I requested executive support, and Mr. Wade Humphreys, Vice President of Sales, personally called me. After our conversation, he recognized the complexity and escalated the matter to Mr. Michael Brenning, AFR's Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Brenning called me within the hour, reviewed everything, made an administrative decision, and saved the deal. Throughout the process, I also worked with Heidi Ward, the Account Manager, and Jamie Dix, the Closer. Both were highly professional, responsive, and cooperative. Their support and teamwork made a significant difference in ensuring a smooth closing. I give AFR Wholesale 5 out of 5 stars, and based on this exceptional experience, I will confidently send more business their way in the future.

I CANNOT begin to say enough wonderful things about Zev Lewison. If you want to avoid reading a…read morelong review, let me just give you the main synopsis - when searching for a loan officer, go with Zev. You will not regret it! I want to preface this with some information about myself. I am a 30-year old female, who was searching for a condo, by herself, for the very first time. Needless to say, I was a Bambi deer-in-the headlights entering the forest that is real estate and was completely lost, but Zev was thorough and walked me through every little step, ensuring my confidence in not only his work, but his word. Originally, I had another lender I was collaborating with on a condo I didn't end up signing with. Due to some concerns from the seller at the time, I had to search for another lender and my mom had recommended him because he happened to drop off his business card at her office, a few weeks prior. The very first day I called Zev, he immediately picked up and spent over an hour on the phone with me. He gathered all my details and even got me a pre-approval letter that same day because it was needed to put down for an initial offer. This was a Sunday! Unlike other lenders, he didn't just send me some dry link to fill out, but he spoke to me like a human being, which at times meant more than finding the right home. When that offer didn't end up working out, he was the only one to console me and tell me verbatim "you have to love the home you find, and if this one isn't it, you'll find another one that is." With agents and others breathing down my neck, he couldn't have chosen better words to keep me calm and levelheaded, moving forward. Once I found that home that I was super excited for, Zev continued to hold my hand through the entire process. He explained what all the closing costs would be, so there weren't any surprises, explained all the l steps needed with the condo application, inspection, litigation matters, and titles, just to name a few. To be completely frank, he often got me answers to questions I had that really should've been answered by other parties, but he persisted to keep me not only happy, but feeling safe and secure. When there was an issue with some of my closing costs, he immediately jumped on it and got the right parties at Weichert involved to come to a resolution. And when there were issues that came up completely out of his control, i.e. per the condo board, lawyers, agents, etc., he advised me on how to approach those problems to the best of my ability, per his seasoned knowledge of the real estate industry. Zev wasn't just a loan officer; he was an advisor, coach, even therapist at times lol, and a friend. With the current economy and market, I often questioned my decision to buy now, at one point so much so, that Zev got on the phone with me to do some breathing exercises. I am not kidding when I say this! As the deal kept coming into fruition, Zev would point out different things that, in fact, made my choice of a new home a positive one, such as the appraisal, the renovations on the building, etc. He didn't need to do any of this. Like most others involved in the process, he really could've just sent emails and documents my way, without explaining a thing, but he would contact me via phone at least once a day to assure I knew where in the process I was and what's to come next. He guided me so much so that the running joke became that I was a loan officer in training. All's to say, Zev provided a MUCH NEEDED personal touch, thereby helping to build my overall excitement toward purchasing my new home. I could not be more grateful for choosing him to be my loans officer. Please go with Zev for your purchase; like I said before, you will not regret it. All the best home hunting!
