They were incredibly thorough in making sure we understood everything that was going on. I was especially impressed at how consistently they followed up with us to make sure that every aspect of the transaction was proceeding apace. I would give my strongest recommendation for Block to every kind of potential borrower. We got great results with incredible service along the way.

Kevin Leibowitz at Grayton Mortgage was exceptional throughout. As first-time buyers, we came to this process with limited knowledge of how mortgages work. Kevin invested considerable time in telephone conversations where he walked us through the fundamentals -- how loan structures work, what the key figures mean, and how different decisions would affect our outcome at closing. He was never dismissive of our questions and consistently ensured we understood what we were agreeing to before moving forward. His value became most apparent on closing day itself. Kevin attended in person and conducted a line-by-line review of the final figures. He identified a duplicate charge of approximately $13,000 that had not been flagged by anyone else in the room, including our attorney. He challenged it directly, and it was removed. Without his presence and diligence that morning, we would have overpaid by a significant sum. Kevin is responsive, precise, and genuinely invested in his clients' outcomes. We would recommend him without reservation to anyone navigating a purchase in New York City.

We were up against a wall trying to close on an apartment for our daughter in Manhattan by the end of August, and our previous broker had us hanging for months without ever getting a condo board approval. Our realtor connected us with Brian, and he told me straight up it would take a lot of work, but he believed his team could get it done in two weeks. He assigned Alicia and Chrissy to work with me, and I mean this sincerely, they worked hourly, every single day, for two weeks straight. Nothing fell through the cracks. Brian himself checked in constantly asking how things were going and whether I needed him to step in. We closed thirteen days after I first spoke with him. I've run a business for thirty years and dealt with plenty of financial professionals, but I have never experienced this level of dedication, compassion, and pure hustle from a team. Brian and his staff treat every client like this, I have no doubt about that. If you need a mortgage lender in New York City, or honestly even outside it, call Brian. He and his team work like Trojans, and they get it done.

It is quite important to ensure you have those skills in someone when you are a first-time home buyer. You will hit the lottery if you use Bobby Papadopulos as your loan officer. There are not enough words to express the upmost gratitude and satisfaction with his services or his team. There are so many people in this industry for quick cash and possibly the wrong reasons. Bobby is the complete opposite. I was more than defeated in the home loan process. After a random yet quick search on Yelp, I found Bobby and decided to message him. I see why he has five stars. Although skeptical, because who is perfect? I have seen perfection in his abilities. Bobby allowed me to call him at 7:00 AM, through tears and disarray coming from my end, he stated, "I will help you". My situation was far from easy, he decided to still help us. Through diverse companies not explaining the process or requiring funds without explanation, Bobby held our hands throughout this entire process. From day one to closing day and beyond, Bobby does not leave you. He takes the time to explain to you what is occurring, why it is occurring and how to ensure a successful closing, organize finances and better yourself. He is extremely patient and understanding. He has worked in his personal time to guarantee deadlines would be met and satisfied. Without being local to me, he communicated with agencies near me to get the work done. Five stars does not compare to the amount that he and Contour Mortgage deserves. He has completely changed our lives for the better. Bobby is someone I wish was in every field not just the mortgage company because he brings professionalism, kindness, and perception. If you are looking for a home, find a home with a person who cares about your wellbeing above all. That will shape your mindset for your new journey- Bobby is the person to set you up on the right path. I will highly recommend him to anyone and everyone.

But it was written by someone else! I do believe the world would be a better place if everyone approached their job with the passion, care, transparency, genuine interest, and courtesy that Yossi does. We thoroughly enjoyed our entire process with him. We also have the best rate out of anyone I know. He came highly recommended to us by our brokers, when we needed to show the seller that we were preapproved and had our shit together. Yossi helped us to project that image in just one day, and helped make us the offer that was accepted in a bidding war. and he then followed through with us through an excruciating 10 month closing process, which included an estate sale, a seller with a reverse mortgage, and other drama I'd rather not disclose on yelp. Yossi worked with us to take advantage of the delay by reducing our rate, and he was a trusted counselor on our team. Without hesitation, he is our top recommendation for anyone seeking a mortgage in New York City. This was our second go-round in buying a New York City home, and the experience this time with Yossi was 100% better than the first time with another bank. Chase itself was perfectly fine, but if we ever need to finance again, I will look for Yossi and work with him even if he is at another bank. (Just keeping it real, Chase!) Buying real estate in New York City is often not a pleasant experience. (If you know of a good real estate attorney, please let us and everyone you know know. I've yet to meet one.) Sellers can be terrible. A lot of brokers are terrible. Financing with Yossi it was a good, great, and even enjoyable part of aN otherwise not enjoyable process.
