Perfect place for an afternoon drink or quick bite to eat. The food was ok but drinks are great and the view is amazing. You can get here by car or boat. Tons if seating all throughout the restaurant and there's live music. We were there on a cooler day but I like that there were fans in the trees for those hot Florida days. The a1 lemonade was refreshing and tasty. The shrimp fritters were light and came with a tangy sauce. Both were great. The special that day was grouper. I had the best time on a Wednesday night here watching a killer band with a really good guitarist/lead. The whole place is an outdoor restaurant and it's huge! Came here for some drinks after dinner elsewhere and it didn't disappoint. They have a stage where a band was playing some of their own tunes mixed in with some covers. They were great! looking at the schedule, I think they try to have live music every night of the week. Really cool place, would definitely party here again! read more

The locals who brought us here were shocked that there was not a line to get into this place on a Friday night. Actually we only had to wait 15 mins for a waterside table. It was a great location and a good vibe on a beautiful night. I started with their Island drink - a version of a Piña Colada - very tasty. Two of us got the Tequila Lime shrimp entree and thought it was very good. The plantain side was good as was the corn bread. Others got the potato chip crusted grouper which was solid - the sauce tasted a bit like a General Tsao's sauce. We then sampled the key lime pie and give it a thumbs up. Good texture and tartness and a meringue topping vs a whipped cream - a nice change. Prices were reasonable for this area. The service was efficient. Came to Jupiter with my nephew on a vacation. I was looking for a place to eat and found Guanabanas. Right when we walked in the live music was awesome. It made a 45 to 50 minute wait. Not that bad. We finally sat down with a great view of the water. The food was a bit overpriced but the ambiance made up for it. The kitchen was very quick as our food came out in a second. We ordered the fish dip for an appetizer, which was great. The fried shrimp was a child size plate at any other restaurant. We also ordered the wings that were good but a bit too chard. My nephew ordered the kids Mac and cheese which was essentially a side order of the Mac and cheese with grapes and chips. Way to much cheese for kids. Katie was our waitress and was very nice. I went to Guanabanas on Father's Day. I am just now getting to write my review. We were two couples and we were there right when it opened. From the beginning the restaurant did not have ice coffee, did not have oat milk. The menu was limited on choices. We ordered our coffees that took 20 minutes to arrive. Our waters did not arrive until we asked a 2nd time during our meal. I ordered two scrambled eggs with toast and potatoes. It was a menu option. I did not receive my potatoes. We ordered the avocado egg dish and pancakes and a burrito. The avocado egg dish was a tiny serving. Prices were ok. Service was horrible. Parking across the street. Tiki bar Having been in the area for a few days, a friend told me about the tiki bars clustered around Jupiter inlet so I headed in the general direction to see what was going on. I happened upon Guanabanas first so parked and headed in. The place is fairly large with what can best be called a dining / band area off to the left, a beach area along the water and a bar area. I hit the bar area, as I tend to do and since I was traveling alone. The bar is your standard tiki type setup with palm fronds and stools around a big "L" shape. There were about 3-4 people back there and they get me set up with a cocktail and a menu in short order. The grounds are very pretty- lots of tropical foliage makes you feel like you have left for a vacation somewhere, which was nice. The areas seems to be pretty separated so it is nice to just walk around and discover another facet to the place. In any case, the menu was essentially a lot of fried goodies, salads and meats like steak and chicken. Pretty much something for everyone if probably the best way to describe it. I did my usual appetizer ordering (fish dip / nachos ) and a cold Captain to wash it all down. The place was pretty busy (it was a saturday) and after sitting there and looking around, it dawned on me that this is really more of a date place - I was definitely the only single, by myself guy there. Everyone else was coupled up so I ate up, paid and headed out. Food was decent, I would not think you are going to get any culinary revelations here and none were expected. The food came out pretty quickly, which was unexpected due to the volume of people there. Prices were average and in line with this type of place. The review is a bit skewed as we almost had a hurricane while we were trying to eat. I had ordered the fish but I don't like red snapper and sadly that is what was brought. Due to the Highwinds in the rain the kitchen was closing, so I was never actually able to eat my dinner. What I did eat was fine. The sides were OK. The fish was prepared very well. I just don't like snapper the quality. The fish was high. The preparation was good but I would say the appetizers and the side dishes or just OK The environment there is what really is amazing, and it really makes the experience. We have been here so many times over the years. You are always greeted warmly first by the valet squad (which I recommend using because other closer places to park aren't public and you'll get towed). Then the hosts are always great at letting you know what's going on (they ask you to grab a drink at the bar if there's a wait, or listen to the live music when there's a band). The food is great, plenty of fresh catch with some island flair. The drinks are also top notch. Once we got caught during a rainstorm and happened to be seated at an outside table. After a mix up of sorts (the one hostess couldn't count) at the hostess station, we were given so much attitude from Meghan (who rolled her eyes and flipped her hair thinking that was an audible answer). Came to see a couple bands on a Saturday night. While parking is usually a nightmare, we took an Uber to avoid the mess. Upon arriving around 7:45pm on a Saturday, I was surprised how many tables were open but I think the rain deterred people from going out. We snagged a table just to the left of the stage. Luckily the rain stopped so we didn't get wet. It ended up getting very busy once the band started but our table service was great! We ordered a few appetizers to go along with our beers. The empanadas were very tasty and I loved the smoked fish dip - just wish the serving size was larger for the price. Lastly, we had the quesadillas. These were good as well. I love the beachy vibe with the outdoor tiki bars. It makes it feel very tropical when you're there. The stage was small but the sound quality was awesome. When looking at the receipt to pay the tab, I saw a $2.00 upcharge for serving whiskey neat???!!! What??? That charge is not only unscrupulous because it was not mentioned by the bartender upon order, but it's unnecessary and rude. Our table ordered several appetizers, all of which were delicious. The shrimp appetizer was by far my favorite because it was tossed in a sweet and spicy mayo. On the downside, the drinks were terrible. They had a poor selection of liquor to choose from. Also, we ordered two different happy hour mojitos and they were absolutely terrible. On a beautiful Saturday afternoon my wife and I took a drive north for a totally different experience, and guess what - we found it! Located in what appears to be a beach area Guanabanas is your typical outdoorsy, fun in the sun place. We had to wait about 45 minutes for an outside table on the water so off to the bar we went. On order: A1A Lemonade. It was hot, so wanted something refreshing but with a little kick and this one delivered. Their fish dip was VERY good, you can tell it was made with cream cheese (or so it seemed) instead of mayo so it brought out a richness. We shared the catch of the day fish sandwich (snapper) and it was cooked to perfection. Perfect for a nice sunny afternoon, overlooking the water people watching those on paddleboards or watching the boats float on by. Definitely recommend. read more

When I ask locals where I should go, this is one of the most recommended places I get. Full disclosure. I'm not a seafood eater. However, my friends who I was with are. Between the fish tacos and the shrimp tacos, the shrimp was so much better. It was extremely filing and had so much meat in it! The only downside to it was that the tortillas broke the second you took a bite. We had the chicken and cheese empanadas which were very yummy. Honestly, the best part was the pepper jelly it came with to dip. That's where most of the flavor came from. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. Very good! Nice lean cuts. Tangy bbq sauce. Only negative, the bus needed to be toasted. Because it wasn't toasted, the sandwich was soggy and fell apart. I also find it strange that for the side they serve regular brand name potato chips. I'd rather pay the upcharge for a freshly made side. The views were great and it didn't feel as hot as I thought it would. Plenty of fans everywhere. Would I come here again? I went to this establishment on the recommendation of a coworker. All of the positive comments that others have left are true and this could have been a 3-4 star rating. The Valet lost my key and it went downhill from there. The restaurant manager basically told me that it wasn't their problem because the Valet was a private contractor. Once my key was found, they promised to bring it to me and finally got it to me after 4 no shows. Thanks to this establishment I did not have a good weekend and they don't care. Fresh Fish is awesome! The atmosphere is perfect unless it's midday and they seat you in the blazing sun! Fortunately we scouted out a shady table and they were happy to let us move. Grouper, tile fish, snapper, all prepared perfectly. Brussels sprouts were delightful and if you don't mind something a little heavy, the garlic mash and corn pudding are worth a try. We all ordered the fried shrimp wrap. Perfectly cooked shrimp with veggies and spicy mayo and jalapenos. It came with pickles and what looked like homemade salt and pepper potato chips. Our server suggested some ranch dressing to dip the chips in a nice suggestion. I was passing through Jupiter looking for a bite to eat. After scanning yelp I ended up here. Definitely not disappointed. As many have said before me, this is a great spot to hang out with friends or have a romantic date night by the water. It was a busy Sunday night so the wait was pretty lengthy. On the plus side, the tiki hut area right behind the hostess stand is first come first serve to get some apps and grab drinks while you wait for a table. With that being said, be prepared for you to be asked about 5 times if you plan on leaving soon because people want your table. Other than that hiccup, it's great. Given the long wait, we had quite a few appetizers to satisfy the hunger. We had the shrimp fritters, they were amazing!! Seriously, get them! They are a great combo of fried goodness, shrimp, scallions, peppers and spices. Super yummy! We also got the fish tacos, which were a great balance of spice and sweet with the pickled onions. We topped off our appetizer run with the smoked fish dip. Also really delicious. A good balance of creamy, Smokey and flavorful. We did end up getting a table and actually eating more. I recommend taking a look at the specials as they always have a fresh catch. We lucked out with a waterfront view so it defiantly made the wait worth it that we had a front row seat to the sunset. I've been wanting to coming here for a couple years now so finally my hubby and I made a field trip all the way up to Jupiter to spend the day going to a bunch of places I wanted to try and this one was the one I wanted to see the most. Even though I keep getting told he food is just okay, i thought most of what we had was very good. My shrimp wrap was awesome and my husband's cuban sandwich looked very good (I didn't try it but he looked very happy). We also had some fish dip but i admit it wasn't very good. It was sort of bland and a very small portion. the restaurant is gorgeous and tropical. There are tons of trees and really nice walkways between different parts of the restaurant. We sat in adirondack chairs on the marina docks and then ate our lunch at a table on overlooking the same area. Other restaurants in the area may have better food but this place is definitely one of the nicest looking and worth the visit. read more

We had a great dinner yesterday for late lunch. There was an 1+ hour wait so we grabbed drinks at the bar and found a seat in the shade near the live music. We tried sitting at the docks but the sun was blazing way too hot. There's not a ton of shaded seating considering the lengthy wait but we managed.
