This is good food with a nice, varied menu but the vibe and scenery enhances all aspects of the evening. All seating is outside and tucked in between tick trees and foliage but you can still watch the boats pass as you eat. You at literally on the waterway. Alligator bites, seafood dip were excellent starters. A fresh grouper coated in macadamia coconut crust with a tropical salsa- yum. Also the fresh flounder was a hit. Desserts are good and not just the standard afterthought. This will Make for a great, relaxed evening with good food. Most definitely would return.

Guanabanas is such a fun spot for a bite and drinks. My husband and I stopped by on a Thursday evening. There was trivia going on in one area of the restaurant for interested patrons. Very fun! We were told there would be a bit of a wait before we were seated so we grabbed some drinks from the bar and walked along the waterfront--it made our short wait seem to fly by. We enjoyed our meal and service as well. Great spot to visit!

We brought the dads here for Father's Day dinner and we were seated right away and on the water!! Our waitress very accommodating with our request for a custom blackened fish sandwich for all of us. Had a wonderful dinner! We will be back!

Beautiful spot for a Sunday brunch! We stopped by with friends, grabbed some drinks and wonderful seafood/salads in a lush/tropical setting. Upon arrival it was drizzling just a bit, and the complimentary valet parking is a nice touch. Once inside, we got a beautiful table right at the waterfront, and enjoyed wonderful views and great food in a relaxing environment. While the fish tacos were good, the freshly prepared seafood filet looked like the star of the meal. We took a walk around the entire restaurant after we ate, and saw all of the beautiful areas that they've designed to enhance the dining experience. If you're in the Jupiter area, this is a place you have to see and enjoy, since words alone do not do it justice. With excellent service, great food and beautiful scenery, I highly recommend Guanabanas.

Returning after a few years. Food was delicious! Had the Tequila Lime Shrimp which was tasty and delicious. Hubby had the Tiki burger which was well cooked and tasty. He wasn't a fan of the bun though. Yucca fries with the dipping sauce were impeccable! Great music, great ambiance.

5 stars for the atmosphere and location on the water. There were a lot of people in the bar area, both seated and standing. The bartender was great - fast and capable of handling multiple orders at one time. They have a good selection of cocktails and beers on tap. Not all drinks are on the happy hour menu, but those that are, are ample and tasty. We had the mojito and coconut something. They don't take reservations. Upon arrival, we checked in with the hostess and were given a buzzer. The wait for 2 seemed longer than for tables of 5, about 40 minutes at around 5pm on a Friday. We took our drinks and sat in the chairs out front while waiting for a table. I didn't realize until later that they have chairs in back with a view of the water where we could have waited. Because the weather was so good, sitting outside under the sails with the lush greenery and a great view was comfortable and a great experience. We started with the shrimp cocktail appetizer. The shrimp cocktail contained 6 large crisp shrimp, but the cocktail sauce was a little too heavy on the horseradish. They offered several types of fresh market fish. The coconut macademia crusted fish was very good, but the coating was so fine it just seemed like light breading. It came with fresh string beans (that weren't all trimmed). The shrimp in the tequila lime shrimp were smaller than the those in the shrimp cocktail, but there were plenty of them. It was also a little spicy. It came with really good ripe plantains. Both dishes came with rice and black beans. There is a free parking lot a block east.

Exactly what I want when I think "waterfront casual dining." Great service that was quick and attentive. Boats can dock and there are plenty of spots to hang out. We got drinks, apps and shared an entree. I don't live nearby, but I would make sure to come back here on a future trip to Jupiter.

Parking was easy, there's a pubic parking lot a walking distance away from the restaurant which I prefer, but if you want to park close, they have valet parking too. Upon entering, there were signs indicating where I should walk towards. The hostess was nice and sat me quickly. My server was Lauren, and she was awesome, very attentive, kind, and helpful. Food came out quickly. I ordered the catfish sandwich and the clam chowder, which was the first time I've ever tried clam chowder. The sandwich was tasty. The catfish was soft with topped with banana peppers. Clam chowder was delicious soft, chunky, and flavorful. I would recommend!

We have some dear friends who live in Jupiter and they brought us here for lunch today. I am so glad they did because it was a fantastic experience. The ambiance is outstanding along the water with all of the beautiful landscaping, bamboo and banyan trees. There are also several huge tiki huts which provide good cover from the sun or rain while dining outside. We started with a coconut mojito, margarita and bloody Mary. The menu offers both brunch and lunch items. Our party had the grilled steak salad, blackened fish with rice and beans and plantains, blackened fish tacos, and a Reuben omelette. We all loved our choices. Service was quick, friendly and helpful. If you get the chance to visit this restaurant I highly recommend it. You can even get to it by boat.

Dining on the water tonight at Guanabanas. Valet is always readily available and recommended. I always stop here at least once on my trip to Jupiter. We came around 4:30 and had to wait for about 15 min for a table on the water. We got a buzzer and sat down on the deck. When we got seated we got our drink orders right away and put our entrees in too. Service was good and food came out quickly. They ran out of coconut rum. They also don't offer Moscow mules in copper cups which I find odd. I got the A1A Lemonade. I got the avocado mango salad which is what I always get and so did the rest of my party. It is presented beautifully and tastes just as good. I finished with the chocolate brownie cake. Very rich but good. We had to wait a long time to get our check. This is a must try if you're in the area!!!

Visited for the first time and was very pleased with my experience. The setting from the outside to what you walk into is a total 180. From a busy road to a tropical oasis, the waterfront vibes, decor and great attitude from staff make this a fun and vibrant experience. We ordered their spicy shrimp bites to start, playa bowl and Hawaiian shrimp combo. The food was fantastic, fresh and flavorful with fair portions. Our wait staff was attentive and friendly all throughout. Overall, this is for sure a must visit spot!

First thing, if you want the 25 percent off you must eat in the bar. We went two nuggets in a row. First night was during happy hour and we had the $5 happy hour margarita. I had the mojito margarita. It was watery, I had the tequila lime shrimp for supper. It was very good. Great taste, had brussel sprouts and black beans as a side. The brussel sprouts were really good, included bacon and maple syrup. The service was exceptional, I liked the atmosphere as it was island related. The second day we went, our drinks were excellent, I had a Kona beer. Appetizers is all we ate, nachos with chicken and cheese and fish dip with chips, vegetables for dipping and jalapeños very good. For both nights are portions were huge.

    What are the gluten-free options?

Yes. Nachos, bbq shrimp. Not all fish are breaded. I do happy hour apps only, so no meal info. They will give you an allergy free meal if asked.

    Are they dog friendly?

Last I knew, they did not allow dogs.

Do they have tables for larger parties?

Wouldn't this be a more appropriate question for the vendor?

Do they still do breakfast? I used to love their morning Arepas but I can't find a menu or mention of brunch anywhere since COVID has happened?

I do not believe they are doing anything early in the day as of yet. They do not open until 11:30 usually.

    What is the entertainment schedule?

I'd call them there wasn't any when we were there for late lunch but it was raining

I see many reviews about long waiting times to be seated. Do they take reservations?

They do not. I waited maybe 45 minutes on a Sunday.

Is it hot or do they provide misting fans?

I do recall seeing some misting fans but not right over the tables. I didn't think it was hot at all but that would depend on the person.

    Is smoking allowed outside?

I believe it is as most of the restaurant is outdoors. Worst case scenario is you could walk down to the docks and smoke if no allowed at the table.

    Do staff wear masks?

Yes & The restaurant is outdoors, it's like a tiki hut on the water. But weekends, when it's busy, we are uncomfortable there were just too many people squeezed together especially near the bar and high tops.

    Do they have Hookahs?

    No, they do not.

    When is their Happy hour?

Happy is 3 to 6 Monday through Friday with drink & appetizer specials

What is the deal on drinks during happy hour?

    Sorry, I'm not a drinker!

    Is it kid friendly?

    Yes

What are the options for vegetarians?

    Salad...

Does it get really hot to sit outside there for lunch in July?

Yes. They have fans in select areas and umbrellas but yes it's going to be hot.

We met friends here to catch two bands--Love Medicine and Smokin' Renegade--and the timing couldn't have been better. The FIFA third-place match was on when we arrived, happy hour was in full swing, and the place had a lively, energetic vibe. We took advantage of the happy hour menu and shared the ahi tuna, boneless wings with blue cheese, and calamari. The prices were great, but the food was a mixed bag for me. The ahi tuna was fresh but much saltier than I prefer. I'm pretty sensitive to salty foods, so that may just be my palate. The wings and calamari were fine for sharing, but honestly, the live music was the real star of the afternoon. I skipped the cocktails and enjoyed a Diet Coke while everyone else sampled the drinks. Love Medicine kicked things off with a fun set, and it made it even more enjoyable because one of our friends knew many of the band members. It was amazing to hear that they have careers as a lawyer, doctor, physical therapist, and more, yet still find time to perform together. Then Smokin' Renegade took the stage and absolutely rocked the place. Their set was packed with classics from Styx, Boston, and Foreigner, and the lead singer was phenomenal. He has one of those big, powerful voices that could easily fill a much larger venue. Even though the restaurant was packed, the staff kept everything moving smoothly, and we never felt forgotten. Another plus? Plenty of parking, which is always appreciated. I'd come back again for the music in a heartbeat. If you enjoy classic rock, a high-energy crowd, and a neighborhood spot that knows how to host live entertainment, Double Roads delivers. The Hungry Poet is back baby!! (I love being Yelp Elite…read more I've just been busy!) "The Salty Zebra blew me away, The Black Grouper entree made my entire day. The burger was seasoned and the patty was fat, But those home made desserts....whooo that's where it's at!" This meal/dining experience brought me to Yelp immediately. I was excited y'all! The Salty Zebra (picked it b/c of good reviews and proximity to Barnes and Noble in Tequesta) They cover the basics extremely well: greeted with kindness and professionalism, seated promptly, and approached immediately by a wonderful server. I won't spend time here just know you will not be disappointed with the service and it was beyond pleasant. Apps Burgundy Escargot (Pernod Garlic-Parsley Butter) We asked for a recommendation from the appetizer section of their menu (perfect amount of selections by the way...I despise an encyclopedic menu). We were thinking escargot and we were so pleased that it was recommended...that sealed the deal. It was garlicky and buttery and served with the perfect white bread. Spot on. Entrees were freaking fantastic! Florida Black Grouper (Creamed Kai Kai Farms Mustard Greens, Colab Farms Glazed Carrots, Carrot Marmalade) I never order grouper. I go out of my way to order it because I don't enjoy white fish usually. Something spoke to my spirit (plus our amazing server highly recommended it) and I went against my natural inclination. Lawd have mercy I'm glad I did. That grouper was perfectly seared, flaky, flavorful and completed excellently by the mustard greens and carrots. I do t know what the sauce was in the plate but it was savory a bit earthy in the best possible way with a twinge of sweetness that made me want to lick the plate ‍ (hey I'm from Mississippi...we do that ). Needless to say there wasn't a morsel of food left in my plate. Other reviews complained about small portions. I beg to differ it was a perfect portion, and I have a biiiiig appetite. (I am the hungry poet after all! I enjoy experiencing three full courses and not being miserably full by dessert.) Bistro Burger (1/2 LB CBS Blend, Gruyere, Sweet & Sour Onions, Au Poivre Sauce, Parmesan Potato Wedges) Boyfriend got the burger. It was great--I am well loved so I got the first bite lol Patty was thick and moist and seasoned! I was impressed that they didn't stay away from seasoning with this burger. We suspect it could have even been prepared sous vide then seared because of how evenly cooked it was. Our server was even kind enough to bring ketchup for the potato wedges. Dessert LET ME FIRST SAY: the second dessert (chef's special) was complementary. I don't know why? Good karma maybe? Speaking of the chef... Chef Michael was working that dining room. ‍ He walked by our table and asked if everything was okay. Not realizing he was the chef we asked for a little more bread to sop up the escargot butter. He brought the bread out a few minutes later himself and was super polite. He introduced himself and I was impressed that he was so personable. He stopped by two more times to check on our entrees and desserts. I love an involved chef. I have a couple friends who are Executive Chefs in pretty swanky places and I love to see that bar being met. Especially as a Yelp Elite reviewer. You know how most people can't wait to write reviews when they're pissed. I can't wait to write reviews when my socks are knocked off. Back to dessert... Chocolate banana I love banana desserts. Some might be biased but this dessert was oooooooh wee deliciously special. I don't have the description because I think desserts change weekly/daily etc but trust me... GET IT! If you like bananas chocolate and caramel get it! Homemade S'more When I said made in house I mean it! The marshmallow the graham cracker all of it! It was rich and decadent and it blew me away. I'll be thinking about these desserts for a while. And again I don't t know what we did to get a free one but Chef Michael brought both out himself and I felt the "we go the extra mile" vibe. It was crystal clear. Sounds like I'm using hyperbole but I swear I'm not. Decor and ambiance was beautiful. Wasn't loud at all. Hands down a perfect dinner experience. We had been walking in the hot sun all day after this impromptu trip to Stuart and even in leggings and a T-shirt we felt comfy and welcomed.
