I have only had one weird interaction here with a staff member, I asked for a pump of mocha syrup in my cold brew and they basically said it was a dumb idea because it wouldn't mix. I have had that in several cold brews at several different well established coffee shops in Chicago and it's delicious when you need a sugar boost. The barista did it but he also shared it didn't make sense. It was uncomfortable. But I didn't let that mar my experience. I still have continued to order my beverage with that barista. I couldn't really taste any espresso, but the base tasted like coconut milk with a hint of black sesame, and the salty foam on top worked really well with it. Super unique flavor. I'll definitely have to visit in person next time and try these fresh because I feel like DoorDash did them no favors.

My only note is that the cup was filled so high that despite conservative driving, it made a mess in my cupholders (so say nothing of the hot coffee I spilled on my hand). The prices are steep, with the bag of beans costing ~$20. However, for something produced in small batches and roasted so fresh you can smell the beans on your way in, this is fully understandable. Final verdict: In my opinion, Dark Matter coffee beats out the coffees available at the grocer's. It's pricy, but worth it for a great cup of Joe!
