I suggested to do a search on Yelp and he landed on Deluxe Pool Services. I held my breath... and they came through. The services he gets include opening/closing and weekly cleanings. Dad is especially impressed because whenever there are issues with his pool, their customer service is so top tier, they are on it immediately to resolve the problem. Their location is in CT but you can see from the reviews that they work with pools all over LI (and apparently as far as Albany, according to my father). Their maintenance people are fast, friendly and thorough (I've been at the house a couple times when they serviced the pool). Reasonably priced, too. Important to note that my father is someone who doesn't tolerate inconsistent timeliness (this probably goes for 9/10 dads, no?) and they are always on time or they call. You really can't ask for anything more when it comes to pool services.

Fast forward to now the team came in and did exactly what we discussed there were some minor chances which was done with further advice when I met Derick " very nice guys he is a customer pleaser he ensure that you are 100% happy or the job is not done". I have been in the construction industry for 15 years and I have worked with pool companies on several different occasions and believe me this is the first I'm meeting and working with a company where everyone affiliated with the company from the owners down to all the workers are honest, hardworking, polite and very professional. I'm pleased to have met and work with them, I will continue to work with them going forward and I will recommend them to all my family, friends, acquaintances and business associates. These guys don't get 100% in my book they get 110% for going the extra mile in costumer's satisfaction, their prices are very reasonable and economical base on market value with you also getting value for every dollar. During this process, a significant and damaging error was made: the winterizing plugs were left in the pool's returns. ​This fundamental oversight caused subsequent damage to the system. Once the issue was diagnosed by a subsequent, reputable company, we were faced with unexpected and costly repairs. An error of this magnitude in a basic, seasonal maintenance task suggests a severe lack of diligence and quality control on the part of the technicians involved. As others have noted in their reviews there is a total ​lack of professionalism. Every time there was an issue with the system we were left to diagnose it remotely over a video chat. Everything came to a head a few weeks before our son's graduation party. We had scheduled our system to be opened and working at the beginning of April. Things were not working at the end of May. My wife deservedly became frustrated and very upset with the constant delays and subsequently had a heated discussion with Meg who hung up on my wife. Meg then called her tech who was on-site trying to get our system up and running and she told him to leave our property immediately. The tech was great and apologized to us. He did the best he could with what he had. Meg never apologized for their mistakes. Imagine spending over $30k on a project and the owner never visited to make sure everything was working alright.
