Caution! --- They sell a lot of worthless fake products. Buyed apple earpods there and asked if they are genuine products. They answered yes. The earphones felt in its parts after one week, one speaker stopped working after one day and they also sounded shitty. I also wanted to buy an iPhone 4s display unit there (they also called it "original product") but it was way to expensive (compared to other stores) and also no original part. I had a horrible experience with this business. It still makes my skin crawl, never have I dealt with such under handedness.! When i visited and asked them could they fix my screen on my Ipod . They said " they would have to have a technician look at it first and that they would ring me back with a diagnostic" . A week later they called me and quoted me Seventy five euro to replace the screen and THIRTY euro to "replace a logic board that needed fixing "!!!! ???!!!! . I told the guy in Gsm solutions that I wanted my Ipod BACK instead as that was too much money !!!! He turned around with a smug grin and said " they had gone ahead with the screen repair and that it needed a logic board replacement and that I would not get my Ipod back unless they were paid"....All this WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!!!! I was fed up so i eventually decided to give this man the 75 euro and get my property back.!. .Oh and a month later there was NOTHING WRONG with the '' logic board ''! read more

Either this company do not know what they are doing or they deliberately tried to pull the proverbial wool over my eyes.The screen on my Iphone stopped working after a fall . My intuition told me that it was a loose video display connection problem as phone was functioning fine in all other regards. There was no way I was going to attempt removing the screen and make matters worse. I went into Gsm solutions on Jervis street as it was near by. They said they would give me a call with a quote later on in the day. I received a quote for over 100 Euro as they said they had to send it away, and use a specialist machine, and it would take up to 2 weeks. I did not except their offer, and gratefully found a friend who said he would have a look at it for me. He unscrewed it and put it back together again. Problem solved. Very disappointed with GSM Solutions. They made a good client spend more than €120 euros on a faulty Nexus 5 when, as experts and as advertised on their website, they should have told me to bin the phone, because it was too damaged to be repaired. I'm afraid I no longer recommend them. read more

Would stay clear from this place. They claim to have extensive knowledge fixing iphones. Left my water damaged iphone 5 in to be looked at. Waited two weeks for what they said was a new part on order. Was then told too badly water damaged to be fixed. Asked what was my options and would Apple know they were at it to try have Apple fix it. Guy on desk said they needed to break some sort of holder inside the iphone to get at the said broken part as only Apple have the part to open it. Sent it back to Apple and Apples technicians said that phone chip had been destroyed from GSM opening it and sent me picture of chip as proof of damage. Absolute shambles of a company. They operate around the corner from where I live, and I've been going to them for nearly 5 years now, and their standards have been dropping every year. Now, admittedly I shouldn't have put up with them for so long on the basis that I've never found any of the regular store clerks friendly ( in fact, I've always found them to be very sour-faced and all "mumble-mumble" when they speak to you), but I put up with it because of the "no fix, no pay" policy, and I've been pleased with their repairs. But not lately. A year ago, they couldn't repair my speakers, so i brought them home and managed to find a simple solution to my problem, one that I'm shocked never occurred to them and they also gave no suggestions. More recently, I had a virus on my computer that threatened to wipe my hard-drive if i didn't pay about 1,000 bitcoin, so I wen't around different places to get opinions, several places saying it was a legitimate threat and they would charge me a certain amount to restore the laptop and a higher amount to remove the virus and keep my hard-drive intact...i went to GSM Solutions, and all i got was "well....you can pay the bitcoin. You can buy it here!" and then he looked at me, and went silent.....and didn't offer an alternative, as if i had any intention of paying 1000 bitcoin! Why did he not EVEN try to suggest something else. It's like he didn't want me in the shop! I should have known better than to return to them even more recently with an Ipod problem. I handed it it, had to wait over 2 weeks for them to send off the item to get the motor-board changed, and just yesterday i got it back, paid out 75 euros....and it still doesn't work! I took it back, and demanded a refund...but they told me that they had to send it back to the repair factory and see if i can get a refund., with ABSOLUTELY no compassion, no extra information and with a general tone of "i want the customer to just leave now". This review has basically been a rant...in fact, it is the third draft, and the others were far longer and had far more swearing. Summing up, I'm taking my business elsewhere, and i suggest everyone who reads this to do the same. Find a place where your custom will be valued. To GSM solutions, you are an intrusion. read more

They tried their best, but after spending over €200 the repair stopped working after 3 weeks, a couple of days past their guarantee. Gutted! went back and asked for help, nothing they would do.... so be warned! In future i will just buy a new phone, helpful staff, but i still have no phone! Staff were pleasant however and able to fix the phone, which is key, however this resulted in damage to the phone (albeit a notoriously difficult model to amend, HTC One). Love these guys. First of all, they're just sound lads (and lasses, I saw a woman working behind the counter once). If I have a techie question, I pop in to them and ask in full confidence that I won't be condescended to or ripped off. My iPod is currently in with them for repair, they give a free assessment first for damaged items so you don't have to front up just to find out it would cost more to repair something than to buy a new one. They are unlocking a phone for me and explained the reasons for the cost straight up. If you need a non-brand version of an electronic item, they can help. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! Cost 250€ for water damage, they replaced the camera with a camera that's so grainy it can't be used at night. Worst of all they repaired it in such an amateur way that when I brought it to another shop to be fixed they said it can never be fixed again due to the last repair. Terrible experience here. Left my phone in and was quoted €65 to fix my iPhone wifi over the phone, I declined. then when I went to collect it, was told it would actually have cost €115, and mumbled there was another problem with the motherboard despite no other issues from using it for months. Left the shop and bought a screw driver and the small antenna part on ebay for under €5 and fitted it myself having watched a youtube video. Strange attitude of the staff. Vacant, uncaring, dull in person, but fine over email. Bought a magsafe charger from them for €59 euros. This arrived promptly after payment. But three months later it stopped working on the last day of the 3 month guarantee (I would have assumed that the guarantee would be at least 6 months by the way). I had to bring it in to them, at expense and time wasted for me as I don't live in Dublin, for them to look at. Now they tell me they will repair the blown fuse for half the price of the original purchase i.e. a further €30. So, in total the same price I would pay for an Apple branded charger. Now I have no working charger and paid a fortune to have one for only three months. Disgusted with this lot and their unprofessional attitude. I have made a complaint to the Consumer Protection Commission. I simply can't believe they didn't offer to replace or repair a product that they sold me which only lasted for 3 months and about which they were contacted within (just) the guarantee period. I had an iPhone 5 in need of a replacement screen and battery. My first enquiry on the phone was abrupt and curt so I wasn't exactly looking forward to dropping in incase it was more of the same. I was right. Upon arrival I was left ignored for a minute or two by the guy chewing gum and staring at his screen right in front of me with no other customers there. I left in the phone, he gave me a docket. I dropped in the next day and there was now two of them at it. The chewing gum guy ignored me again then a girl came out and ignored me until relctantly eventually saying 'Yeah?'. She got the phone. I paid €124 in all. I asked her about migrating contacts from my old iPhone 4s to the new phone and she glared at me and told me to go into my network provider Three and ask them. Despite my shock at how rude they were I still said goodbye. Nothing. I was literally ignored. I glanced back and saw them smiling at each other. An absolute appalling customer experience. Now the phones touch sensitivity isn't working properly and I'm dreading heading back in for more of the same. To be avoided at all costs. read more

AVOID! I went in with an ipod touch to get battery replaced as it would not stay on €50 they wanted so i left it with them and they said i would get a text when it was ready. I got a text next day saying ipod was ready so i went up to collect it on train as i live down the country got home that evening and plugged it in to charge it as it was half full and it wouldnt charge left it in all night nothing but then i checked to see if the battery would discharge and it was so i rang them and they told me to bring it back so i went back up and they said id have to leave it with them. I told them to send it back by courier as i was not comming back up again for it so they did and i recieved it on a tuesday and it was charging.Two years ago i sent my iphone 4 in to these to get screen replaced and when i got it back only half the touch screen was working back i had to go with it thats 3 times to dublin!!! I was very disappointed with this service. I had recently dropped my iPhone 5s down the toilet and had no faith in it being fixed until I discovered gsm solutions where they stated they fixed 90% of water damaged phones. So I proceeded to call them explaining the situation and how long it had been in the water etc after I explained I asked if they thought it would have a good chance of being fixed and I was bluntly replied to saying you'd have to bring it in, ok fair enough... Although that wasn't exactly the question I had asked Then I asked how much it is on AVERAGE to fix water damaged iPhones and again I was bluntly answered that I would have to bring it in to find out how much it would cost me, even though again that wasn't the question I had asked. So a few days later I brought my phone in to see I it was possible to be fixed. The staff in the shop were no more friendly then they were on the phone. I felt as if they thought they were doing me more of a favour when in reality I was offering them BUSINESS. I was informed it would be a few days before I would know if it was possible to be fixed after about a week I still wasn't given a definite answer if it could be fixed but was given a quote which gave me a bit of hope. So then after another week I was sent a text message saying my phone hadn't been fixed. I understand my phone not being fixed is not there fault but their unfriendly service and the whole way they went about the service was unsatisfactory to say the least. read more
