Apparently my laptop was full of viruses and trojans. The engineer was very friendly and explained me each step in plain language. My laptop works a charm now and he even managed to recover the project I was working on before it crashed. Fair play to you guys. Highly recommended!!!

I urge anyone contemplating using Lynch for computer repairs to go elsewhere. I was studying abroad…read moreand submitted a laptop that needed urgent repairs to the keyboard, being assured it would be done in two weeks max. Unfortunately, a week later I was sent back to the US due to the pandemic but was assured by the owner (Harry) that it could take some time but would eventually be sent back to me with the repairs made. After some spotty correspondence back and forth, that lead me to believe I would be receiving the laptop soon, I heard nothing from him. Five months have gone by and my laptop has not been sent, and I haven't received any reply to my numerous emails asking when it would be sent. For all intensive purposes my laptop was stolen. I feel very taken advantage of, them knowing that I was a visiting student who would be unable to come retrieve the laptop in person because of the extenuating circumstances. I can't help but wonder if this wouldn't have happened if I weren't a visiting student/tourist. In essence, their initial service was ok, but in the end they outright took/stole my laptop, and barely responded to my messages before entirely ignoring them. I'd strongly caution anyone not to go here, but especially visiting tourists or students studying abroad.

Needed a new screen for my Samsung Galaxy. It cost me 10 euro more than I paid in the city centre…read morea few months back, and while it's not as good as the original Samsung screen, it's much better than the cheap tat I got in town last time. He had it done in 30mins, and also fixed the dodgy charging port without me asking and free of charge. And it came with a good screen protector includes. Can't fault him. Opening hours are 10.30 to 6, closed 2 to 2.30 - I was there first at 9.30 so the hours inconvenienced me. Good product, good service, good experience

This is the second branch for SCR Computers (the other one is on South Circular Road in Dublin 8)…read more Because the shop space is tight, they offer a modest selection of new and used computers and some accessories. What makes this place shine, however, is the helpful, earnest, and skilled staff. They've helped me sort out issues with international adapter/converters for my laptop, accessories for my new printer, a USB wifi for my MAC. Sometime soon, I'll address a damaged laptop (too cheap to repair) for which I'll ask SCR to transfer files. With every inquiry, they are helpful, direct, and efficient. I can't say enough for the service. It's also very nice that, because the staff is small, they tend to remember who I am and what the issues are with my poor, overworked & mishandled equipment.
