So what is this shop? well it sells lots of mobile phone accessories and computer bits and pieces.It says that it repairs computers but i have never actually given my computer in here. I suppose its good to know its there though! the last service this shop provides is a phone unlocking service, is this even legal? probably is but it doesnt sound legal to me, i know phones are locked to certain networks but they can also be locked by a network when they have been stolen, surely this undos all the work that is done to deter phone robbers! ah what do i know! anyway if you need a phone unlocked i suppose this is the place to go if your not up for a journey into town.

Unfortunately, a week later I was sent back to the US due to the pandemic but was assured by the owner (Harry) that it could take some time but would eventually be sent back to me with the repairs made. After some spotty correspondence back and forth, that lead me to believe I would be receiving the laptop soon, I heard nothing from him. Five months have gone by and my laptop has not been sent, and I haven't received any reply to my numerous emails asking when it would be sent. For all intensive purposes my laptop was stolen. I feel very taken advantage of, them knowing that I was a visiting student who would be unable to come retrieve the laptop in person because of the extenuating circumstances. I can't help but wonder if this wouldn't have happened if I weren't a visiting student/tourist. In essence, their initial service was ok, but in the end they outright took/stole my laptop, and barely responded to my messages before entirely ignoring them. I'd strongly caution anyone not to go here, but especially visiting tourists or students studying abroad.

But the three guys who work here are super kind, super patient and if I had to get stuff for phones or my own gadgets, this would be my first stop. They even helped me with an ipad issue, and I didn't buy it there. They even put on the protective screens for phone and tablet and I didn't even buy them there. I don't think I would get the same kind of service at any of the network providers.

However, they recently sold us Meteor mobile broadband, which they recommended as the best on the market. And let me tell you, it definitely is NOT the best. The connection is slow when it works at all, the download capacity is only 5Gbs which we regularly go over in the month, which costs us a fortune over the €16.99 a month that we pay for the crap service. 02's package costs just €10 per month and has twice the download capacity. I don't blame the Carphone Warehouse - they service was new and they weren't to know. But people take note - don't fall for Meteor's promises. Mobile broadband sucks.

I did it... I took the leap. I left Vodafone and joined 3 (my fiancé has been going on at me for…read moreages to change... unlimited data you see). I went in with my ID and a proof of address. Marcelo did everything really quickly. I had to kill 15 mins while my application was being approved and it was all ready when I came back. He took care of cancelling my contract with Vodafone and transferring over my number. I just had to wait for the SIM to activate and I was good to go. That took about 4 hours and I was able to continue using my old SIM in the meantime. As a bonus I am now able to use the 4G network now, which I wasn't able to with Vodafone. Wahoo! So far so good. I can't fault it yet. I say yet because I am anticipating a pitfall or two to rear its ugly head...
