I used GS Limo for my wedding, and was very happy with the service. I needed a limo for the wedding party, and a separate car for my relatives, and both the limo and the car worked out great. Before the wedding, GS Limo responded to my emails very promptly, and they even offered to split up the rentals into a 4 hour rental during the afternoon, and a 1 way return rental after the reception. Nuri at GS Limo understood my requirements and booked the limos and the cars, keeping me in the loop with their online reservation system. The drivers were very courteous and professional, and most importantly, they showed up on time, and took us where we wanted to go in comfort and style. Great service! I booked car service for our group, a simple pick up and drop off from a restaurant in Russian Hill to club in SOMA. I spent half the day calling other car services. It took forever to find someone willing to do such a quick service on saturday night-even though I offered to pay for an hour. Reluctantly knocking GS down from 5 to 4 stars, as their prices have gone up a lot in the last couple years. Airport transfers from SF are now $80+tip to SFO, $95+tip to OAK. Still 5+ stars for 'custom jobs', like the one below. [ Old review below ] We hired GS to provide a town car 'shuttle service' for guests on the night of our wedding (~100 guests) from a restaurant in Potrero to hotels and homes in the city. Our guests loved having a comfortable ride back to their homes/hotels with no waits for taxis, and nobody had an excuse to drink and drive. GS managed the service perfectly, sending over extra cars when we had more guests leaving. Best of all, they charged us a simple, reasonable hourly rate just for the cars used. Then for our honeymoon airport transfer, they upgraded us to a stretch Mercedes for free. Great friendly company, flexible and easy to work with. Very highly recommended. read more

We booked GS Limousine for a trip to Napa. It is one of the least expensive options for doing a private wine tour from SF, but in the future I will spend a bit more and use a different service for this purpose. Booking was straightforward; they are easy to reach over email or phone. Our driver was courteous and showed up approximately on time (about 5-10 minutes late). The car was clean. The driver did not seem to know anything about Napa, including how to get there, so if you use this service I would recommend printing out addresses and directions and bringing them with you. Also our driver managed to run his battery down at the first winery, requiring a jump start from an extremely nice winery employee. It worked out fine, but we wasted about 20-30 minutes and then had to rush at the next winery to stay on schedule. Not what you want for $50/hour. For wine tours, I have had a much more enjoyable time with driver(s) that have some knowledge and opinions about the wineries and/or the area. But if you just want someone to drive you from point A to point B in relative comfort with no bells and whistles or chit-chatting, then this service is a good value. read more

Everyone's entitled to his or her opinion but I have to disagree with Art T.'s review saying that they were willing to take him to the airport at an "ungodly hour." It's important to note that I'm an atheist, but my understanding is that God is in everything, equally. God is in a Saturday afternoon but God is also in that 3a.m. ride to the airport: Art T.'s eyes uncrusting as he careens toward - or away from - some gravitational force in his world. God was in my moldy avocados last week but also in the week before when Bridget let me kiss her, and God is even in the not kissing her that came before and after. God is in Art T., and in me, and in Bridget's french bulldog Tara, and God remained in Tara's meat even after her soul left. Art T. rode a GS Limousine and flew in an airplane and closed a big software deal and flew back in an airplane and got in a GS Limousine and returned to Emeryville and poured himself a scotch. But he didn't really go anywhere, God just got a charleyhorse and was shifting around inside him. read more

I booked GS to drop us off and pick us up from a wedding last weekend, and I am so pleased with the service we received. The Lincoln Navigator was clean and arrived on time, and the driver was very professional and highly skilled. He arrived a little bit early to pick us up both times, encouraged us to leave our trash in the car so that he could take care of it, and he drove in such a manner that didn't make me car sick on a VERY windy road (which is quite a feat--take my word for it). I've been very happy with GS. I've been using them for about 2 months for SFO airport rides. They are more expensive than cabs of course (not as much as you might think), but well worth it because: 1. They have always shown up and on time (usually early; never more than a few minutes past arrival time). I've used several cab companies and not had this level of accuracy. 2. I can pay before, saving precious minutes at the airport. 3. Drivers have always been professional and cars are in good repair (again favorable to cabs) 3. They'll e-mail you receipts 4. I had a good experience with GS Limo - I think this will be my go-to car service in SF. I had a flight arriving into SFO around 1145 pm - earlier in the week I found GS Limo on yelp and sent a msg. Serkan got back to me very quickly. I had provided my mobile # and email address before leaving JFK and he dutifully kept track of my flight times. He even checked in with me before I picked up my luggage to let me know where he would be picking me up! That was nice :) While I would have taken BART from SFO to downtown SF, I wasn't sure about schedules after landing so close to Midnight & knew I'd be exhausted with the time difference. I've been using GS Limo for over 4 months. My husband lives in LA, so I am traveling to the airport several times a month. I use GS limo every time. So my review takes into consideration 10+ experiences with their service. When picking me up in SOMA, 99% of the time, they are on time or early, there has been the rare occasion they've been 10-15 minutes late. When picking me up at the airport, I typically have only waited 10-15 minutes. The drivers are usually parked nearby. I've gotten to know many of the drivers, they are all polite, friendly and responsible. I've never had a complaint. Also, I love the personal service of being able to talk to Serkon directly. I've called/texted him last minute, many times, and he was able to accommodate. Weekend of B2B I had an early morning flight, 6AM early. I didn't want to call a cab out of cheapness and was looking for a shuttle service that didn't do a bigillion stops like super shuttle. Couldn't find one that would accommodate me on such short notice. Decided that I might as well give GS limos another chance since their prices are no more expensive than a cab. I used GS for a wine tour to Napa. They were great and cheaper than most of the competing limo services ($40 an hour for a roomy town-car that seats 4 or 5 comfortably)---plus they had a limo available with little advance notice (I called them the night before). Driver was professional and friendly. He took us to several pre-picked vineyards---be sure to go to Duckhorn! Once we finished at each, I'd give him a quick ring and he picked us up. The driver didn't know much about the vineyards so it's best if you make your own itinerary and then just ask them to follow-it. Will use them again anytime I need a limo rental. Talk about amazing service! I called at 6pm on a Monday to book a 6am Tuesday pick-up and Serkan was able to accommodate me. At first, I booked another service, decided to look at their yelp reviews, saw that they were called a SCAM several times and promptly canceled my reservation. So then I dug around a bit on yelp and found these amazing reviews of GS and called right away. Serkan not only was very prompt, but he even texted me in the morning letting me know he was on his way and again when he arrived. I felt 100% safe with his driving and he even told me we had extra time before I had to be at the airport and stopped somewhere beforehand so I could pick up some coffee. His rates are SUPER affordable ($85 from Union City to SFO, including tip and tax vs another service quoting me $145). I believe his rates from SF to SFO are only $40. They keep my corporate Amex on file and furnish me with detailed invoices and receipts via PDF over email so my expense reports are a breeze. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - completely unreliable! I ordered a town car for my wedding and the driver never showed up! I confirmed the car at least 3 times, but apparentely that wasn't sufficient.. It wasn't until I called 15 minutes after the scheduled pick up time that I found out that the driver was stuck in traffic. We were told by the "operator" that the driver should be there in 15 minutes, but he never showed up so we finally left with our photographer. In addition to this unpleasant experience, we've never even received a follow up apology phone call. Can you believe that? Do yourself a favor and don't use them. Serkan is one of the owners and is amazing. He has great rates, that are often only a couple dollars more expensive than a cab fare. He is always professional and has always been early. He has couple of towncars, a limousine, and a Mercedes S550, which have always been clean when I need them. I almost didn't post this review because I didn't want the word to get out, but I had to Yelp about a great company. You can call him anytime and he will tell you how long it will be. He is excellent with his communication and will give you an accurate estimate of when the driver will be there. I mostly worked with Evelyn to get 20 people from SF to Alameda (one way). It ended up being the Sprinter van and a Lincoln Navigator. I called on a Monday to get transportation for Friday. Affordable Quote - The price she quoted was the lowest I got after literally two-three hours of contacting 10+ companies. And this was by quite a bit. Other companies tried to pull some 4-hour BS for what amounted to about a half hour drive. Not Evelyn. I gave her the parameters, asked if it was possible, and bam, I had a quote within a half hour. I ended up getting the invoice, paying over the phone, and having everything done within a few hours. Phew. Done. Flexibility - I can't guarantee she can do this for you too, but I had to push back the pickup time about four different times because people were running late, there were Caltrain delays, etc. Evelyn (and a man whose name I didn't catch) were superstars and totally let me push back the time, even within an hour of when we were supposed to have the pickup originally. Amazing. Great Drivers - I spoke with the people who actually took the van and SUV, and the drivers showed up a little early, drove safely but quickly, and knew what to do. The passengers said everything was flawless. If I ever have to book transportation for this many people, or if I ever have to take a limo in the city, I'm booking with GS. When we landed at SFO, I had a text message and soon received a call from Serkan letting me know that he was waiting a short distance away. GS Limo provided excellent service! As soon as we landed at SFO airport, I quickly turned on my cell phone. I expected a text or call, as other yelpers explained they received, but did not receive any. We proceeded to the baggage claim and I began worrying about our ride to our hotel. As soon as I was going to call, they called me instead. They asked if we were ready but I informed them that we were still waiting for our bags. He instructed me to call back when we were ready. As soon as we retrieved our bags, I contacted them again and they arrived 2 minutes later for pick up. The driver that picked us up was nice and friendly. He made conversation and pointed out different SF locations on our way to the hotel. During our drive, he apologized as he thought he was only picking up one person but there was a total of 4 of us. He apologized again as we were cramped in a town car (which wasn't too bad at all) and promised that we'd we picked up in an SUV or limo. He was extremely personable and friendly throughout the ride that it seemed we arrived at the hotel in no time! On our return ride to the airport we were scheduled a 4:15 AM pick up. We were in the lobby by 4 AM. We did not see any SUV or limo...not even a town car. We decided to wait awhile before contacting them. 4:15 came and went and as soon as I was about to make the call, I received a call from them. LOL The dispatcher asked if we were waiting outside in the lobby. I informed him that we were waiting since 4 AM. He indicated that the driver should be there but I informed him that we checked several times and that no one was in sight. He placed me on hold and next thing you know a Lincoln Navigator pulled up. The driver was actually waiting for us too but for some strange reason he waited across the street. Our first driver kept his word which was greatly appreciated! We were comfortably seated in the Navigator and we especially enjoyed it as it was our first time riding in one. Our driver was not personable at all. The entire ride was completely quiet. The only questions he asked was what airport and airline. Maybe it was too early for him as it was for us but he was completely different from our first driver. He did get us quickly to the airport just in time to beat the crowd that came to check in after us! Despite the minor hiccups we would definitely use GS Limo again if we are ever in SF! Both trips were $45 each (as long as you mention Yelp when making your reservations) which is a steal considering there were 4 of us. read more
