Was very excited when we purchased a livingsocial deal for a tour of wine country with Gigi Limousine--that is, until we tried to use it. The deal clearly states that Gigi picks up and drop off from a number of sites including San Francisco, Marin, Oakland and the Peninsula. Nowhere in the deal advertised does it state that gratuity and tax would be "cash only". Nowhere in the deal does it state that there would be a "fuel charge." Nowhere in the deal did it state that the gratuity, tax and fuel would be $200 cash. When we tried to book our tour asking to be picked up in Marin, we not only were informed of the $200 cash fee for tip/fuel/tax but also that he would not pick us up in Marin only from San Francisco--NOT AS ADVERTISED--and clearly this would add a couple of hours cutting short our wine tour from 6 to 4 hours. We then asked to be dropped off at a hotel in wine country. Again, the answer was "No"--that the deal was we HAD to return in the limousine back to San Francisco. What???
I called and wrote several times to livingsocial requesting a refund. I shared with livingsocial that upon visiting Gigi's website, it was incomplete and unprofessional. There are only photos under the "tours" and "fleet" tabs with no language or descriptions at all. Nothing. I also shared with livingsocial that I called Gigi to ask what it would cost for a tour of wine country. I was quoted a price for a 6 hour tour which would, in fact, pick me up in Marin (or SF, Oakland, the Peninsula), AND there would be no fuel charge, tax and tip could be put on a card and tip was at my discretion--NOT the flat $200 cash we were told when we tried to use our voucher. Livingsocial bailed on any responsibility even though each live person we talked with agreed that Gigi's site was unprofessional, and they had clearly not advertised that a $200 cash fee (for tax/tip/fuel) and that pickup and drop off (no one way) was to SF only. We will never use livingsocial again nor will I use Gigi Limousine. Just our very bad experience. Anyone want our voucher???
