One of my favorite parts of Pleasant Limo was how reliable they were. I told lots of folks "don't worry, they'll always be ready for you in advance no matter how early a pickup". And so they were. Seems things have changed. Technically the driver got to the block at the exact minute of the reservation, but after that by the time she parked and came around to help us with bags. And the whole experience now is more like an Uber. Asked our name, asked if we were going to "the airport" (no specific terminal or flight. When we got to airport she guessed the wrong airline). The car was still nice so as an Uber it was a good ride, but at 3 times the price. But for a professional car service it was a quite a drop from what it used to be. You can book online or call to make your reservation. They have lots of options as far as cars and limos. Since it was just the two of us, a limo wasn't necessary. When arriving in SFO, they just need a quick call to let them know which number door you are waiting by. The suv was there within minutes. Our driver was very friendly and professional. There is also bottled water waiting for you inside. Since it was reliable picking up from the airport, I reserved a ride back. Our driver was at the hotel at our exact reservation time. The five star reviews are real. I was suspicious of all the five star reviews on Yelp, but took a chance on them anyway. We used them twice. Once for a pickup at the Amtrak station in Emeryville and the second from the hotel in SF at 4:30 AM (yawn) for an early flight at SFO. The service was excellent! Superb, actually. Both times. They sent me text messages to keep me posted on pickup times, then another text to tell me the driver was already at the train station. Both times the driver was waiting for us, handled all our luggage without being asked, was professional, courteous, did not chat our ears off, and drove safely in a clean Cadillac Escalade. My only minor negative is that no bottles of water were offered to us. Not sure if this is supposed to be provided or at the option of the driver. But this is a very minor point. I highly recommend Pleasant Limo. I will definitely use them on all future trips to the area. read more

I've been using Pleasant Limo for about eight years now. Prior to finding them I had used several other limo companies. I became frustrated with the other companies for their lack of timeliness and spotty condition of their vehicles. One car broke down in my driveway, another failed to show up at my wedding (my wife arrived in a yellow cab to our outdoor ceremony...) No idea why the one person couldn't figure out the pricing and called them shady. Just start a reservation and it's right there as you book on their secure website. Seems like user error. If you have to be somewhere like the airport at a specific time scheduling a ride share doesn't mean they will come. It just triggers the app to send a request. And if they do come you are going on the freeway with someone who may be a horrible driver. Or not know how to get to the airport without their phone. I always use Pleasant Limo. YEARS now and it's consistently the same. Nice people driving who are professionals and safe. Edwin is one of my regular guys and he's the best. I booked 13 trips with Pleasant Limo for an event I was managing in SF last month and let me just say- they are the greatest! From the beginning, I sent over all the names, flight times, and arrival info, within 24 hours I had confirmations for all the trips and could access them to make changes online. The only downside- their online system only works on certain browsers. However, everything else was A+ service! I was impressed with how easy it was to book with them and how accommodating they were to any changes. I loved that they knew when to contact all my guests the second they landed- even with massive flight delays, they were always on top of the new times before I even called. All of my guests had a great experience with their rides picking them up on time and being courteous to help them with their luggage. I'm typing this while waiting for the driver. It's not the first time they're late. They're always late. We've used them 10 or so times, the first 3-4x were perfect after that we've been constantly annoyed with them, with one major issue where they showed up 30 minutes late and failed to communicate. I have to add that they recovered this incident in a very professional way afterwards (we drove to our destination, sfo, and they returned our car to our house), which I thought was a recovery that showed that they care. None the less, after that it is hard to rely on them blindly. However, the cars are new, well maintained and clean, the drivers are really friendly and professional, safe drivers. I would like to rate them 5 stars, but the waiting and the uncertainty based on past experience makes it hard to justify 5, and let's be honest, should be pushing the rating down to 3 stars, but I value their professionalism, and safe drivers, hence 4. Because of their drivers and their cars, I am recommending them to you, yelper, and will just hope they have punctuality as their new years' resolution. read more

I have this thing about Ubering at night in a town that I am unfamiliar with. A five minute trip across town? Sure! I love getting home alive to my kids! My price was $57 dollars. I would assume to get a non-ride share Uber in SF, you're looking at roughly the same price! I called Pleasant Limo to pick up my aging, disabled parents from SFO and take them to their motel in Cow Hollow. The man who helped me make the reservation on the phone was patient and understanding. He noted on the reservation that my parents may need some extra time getting out of the airport, which was really thoughtful. The driver met my parents, helped them with luggage, got them VERY comfortably to their motel. And they did it all in reverse, taking them back to SFO at the end of their stay. And how much more is it than a cab you have to wait in line for (and may or may not show up when you call)? Hardly any! I'm going to start calling Pleasant Limo when we have to go to the airport. We needed a vehicle that could accommodate four people and we were very comfortable in their SUV Cadillac Escalade. each time the driver was professional and very courteous and we enjoyed our conversations and their knowledge of the surrounding areas. We used Pleasant Limo to secure 2 limousines for our wedding in San Francisco. Everything went smooth. The limos were nice, clean, new models and the drivers were very patient, professional, and most importantly on your wedding day, they were on time. Of course, the bridesmaids and I were running late, and the limo driver called us to let us know he had arrived, and not to worry or rush, that he would be waiting outside when we were ready. That is SUCH a nice thing to hear as a panicky bride on your wedding day! The driver helped me and my big poofy dress get in the limo and whisked me away to my wedding. Okay, I need to update the review below - I just got picked up this morning (on time again, of course) and talked to the driver. It seems that he had to institute the 20% tipping suggestion (it's not actually added to the total automatically on the cc slip) since people were tipping like $2 on a $38 fare at 4:00 a.m. in the morning. I have to dock one star with their new reservation service though - now you need to give your credit card info in order to make a reservation. I wouldn't have a problem with that if it discourages flaky people from "forgetting" to cancel their reservation; however, when I checked my confirmation email, the "Total Due" amount included a 20% Standard Gratuity amount - WTF? I've always tipped over 20% since their service is great, but shouldn't I have the option to tip what I feel is appropriate after the service is provided?
