We are switching pediatricians because of it. It's impossible to get anyone on the phone to make an appointment or ask about an appointment/ meds etc. their hold machine goes for 15 min before it goes to voicemail. Then no one must check the voicemail because I've never gotten a call back. I've literally been on hold for 2 hours total yesterday, and going on a half an hour today plus a voicemail. All to make an appointment because my newborn is having diarrhea.

The most upsetting part was that she speculated that my daughter might be on the autism spectrum during the appointment and did so right in front of my daughter, without first talking to us privately as her parents. Whether those concerns are valid or not isn't the issue. Bringing up something that significant in front of a young child without any warning or discussion with the parents first felt incredibly unprofessional and insensitive. My daughter was visibly upset and confused afterward, and we were left trying to explain and reassure her. A pediatrician should know how to discuss sensitive topics with care. Instead, the conversation felt blunt and thoughtless. We left the appointment feeling frustrated, concerned, and disappointed. We will not be returning.
