She came by to do a smoke detector check while my baby was sleeping. I asked if she could come back a little later, and instead of being understanding, she texted me afterward calling us "non-compliant." That was completely unfair and unnecessary, especially considering I was just trying not to wake my baby. On top of that, Patty's attitude is consistently rude and unapproachable. She always seems irritated or angry, which makes it very uncomfortable a resident to communicate concerns or even ask basic questions. Solara's motto is "Live Happy," but unfortunately that has not been our experience at all mainly because of how interactions with Patty have gone. It's hard to feel comfortable or supported when management treats residents this way.

My experience with the Property Manager, September, was consistently unprofessional. I observed a clear pattern of differential treatment, she was cooperative with my wife but frequently argumentative, dismissive, and confrontational with me. When we sought a habitable relocation, we were offered units that were smaller and listed for less than our current rental rate. They deemed this "comparable" but obviously our unit (B005) was valuable since its now listed for over $3k. They denied our request for relocation assistance as they deemed breaking our lease sufficient. The property is beautiful but beware, it does attract a lot of unhoused individuals that rummage through the trash, mailboxes are constantly being broken into, and you will have to pick up your mail at the post office. Also, keep in mind the water is constantly being shut off due to "emergency leaks". Also, if you plan to move into unit B005, the neighbors at B002 will constantly double park their vehicle and block you from pulling in and coming out and will get aggressive when you asked them to move their vehicle. They threatened another tenant with a beer bottle, the property manager was made aware of this altercation and only sent out a warning email to the entire community instead of handling the issue with the problematic neighbor. Overall, if you are looking for a management team that values residents, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

After 28 months, I have to move units due to the hardwood floors as the sound above leaks through…read moreawfully. Paloma is a newer apartment complex opened in mid-late 2023. The lobby/leasing office/mail area really makes a grand impression when you first see it and it stands out above every other complex that I have toured. Flooring/thickness: 2/5 Soundproofing of the flooring in the unit above gets a 0/5 You will hear a dog running back and forth. You can definitely hear anyone without slippers or if they drop something on the floor. and it's horrible if they have people over. Luck of the draw here of your neighbor. I was lucky the first 24 months, but now I have to move because of this as talking to them didn't help. It's "just apartment living" is how it's dismissed. It's constant sounds 16 hours a day now and unlivable for me as it constantly occupies your attention even until 2 AM. You will need to get a top floor as the noise leaks through. The adjacent wall sound isolation gets a 4.5/5 You will rarely hear them unless a sound speaker is cranked up or if the sounds leak in from the hallway. Noise pollution: 2/5 -Outside facing apartments will get the freeway noises of loud cars racing down the freeway. -Mall facing apartments will get loud cars without mufflers and motorcycles. -Inside facing apartments will get parties or pool sounds and kids screaming Air Quality: 3/5 Obviously close to the freeway, you can see black particulate that isn't dust build up atop your car. Ventilation fans and the front door also pull in smoke and grilling smell from people cooking in the patio if your apartment is in the path of the natural draft. Mail / Locker system: 5/5 Mail, Package lockers, and a package room Garage / EV Charging: 5/5 More Charging spots and setups than other complexes Blind spot mirrors around corners installed Spots are decent sized Keys / Access: 5/5 FOB or App/phone entry. No keys or code panel entry. On-site Leasing Office and Patrol: 5/5 They're onsite and responsive. Most places are outsourced, or off-site. Overnight patrol as well for security. Charles is great at the leasing office and helped me with a transfer. Intrusiveness: 3/5 Odd one but they will need to enter your apartment even if you are not home almost every 2 months due to annual inspections with more than two days notice: Fire Alarm, HVAC, Dryer Cleaning, Water Meter, Smoke Alarm, Appliance Inspection, etc. Walkability: 3.5/5 The closed off wellsfargo lot and missing sidewalk, and mall construction lower the score a bit for the area around, but there is still a mall you can walk through. The closed off wells fargo & missing sidewalk somewhat impedes the walkability to the local mother's market and chipotle. This remains a 4/5 after touring 18 more complexes in the local 10 miles. The score stays high as I've chosen to move within the complex for a continued stay and to avoid the annoyance and costs of fully moving. If you are sensitive to noise, this might lower to a 3/5. If I were not already here, this would still be in the top 3. It takes a lot for someone to review or bother to update one but i am annoyed enough to do so.

I drove from far away to make it on time. What happened? NO ONE WAS THERE. Not only did they completely stand me up for our confirmed appointment, but there is also absolutely NO WAY to contact them. This is not an exaggeration: 1. The main office number (714-667-5197) goes straight to a voicemail that is FULL and cannot accept any more messages. It then just hangs up on you. 2. Their website messaging system is broken and returns an error. 3. The voicemail mentioned another number (949-802-1169). I called it. It's the exact same story: no answer, full voicemail, call rejected. 4. I was literally standing at the apartment entrance. I used the intercom listed for the office ("000"). Still. No. Answer. They are completely unreachable. They took an appointment they had no intention of honoring and provided zero means for customers to follow up. This is a complete failure of basic business operations and common courtesy. I wasted my gas, my time, and my effort because of their sheer incompetence and lack of respect for people's schedules. This company is a joke. Save yourself the immense frustration and avoid them at all costs.

Not much has changed since my last review edit, but I haven't really had any other major issues I needed addressed by management. I just live here quietly, and my neighbors are largely quiet as well. My only real concern almost every day is just getting to the freeway. The turn onto the main street is a huge pain, and can take 5-10 minutes just to get off of the apartment's street onto Chapman during the heaviest traffic times. This is annoying since we have no dedicated turns (light or stop) to allow us to turn left to get to the freeway, so you have to turn right and then pull a U turn at some point soon in order to get to the freeway. It is a major pain, but that is in no way a fault of the complex owners/managers. Another thing is that there is a regular occurrence of the water being turned off for periods of time. I don't know why there are so many issues with the plumbing, but it doesn't seem normal.

First there were minor annoyances... the neighbors who sat out on the patio and drank while their kids screamed and knocked over furniture for hours until they go drunk enough to go scream at them (yes, we heard it all). We paid for an extra parking space (yes, we had to PAY for parking... in ORANGE COUNTY!) and they oversold the spaces and we had to complain. No one was allowed in the pool area except for residents. My mother came to visit from out of town, stayed a month (which I had to get permission for her to stay with us) and she could not use the pool. Stray cats roamed the property and used the space under the stairs as litterboxes (which smelled AWFUL). My shower broke (no hot water), and when I went to complain, the owner (who was at least 90 years old) and instead of sending someone to fix it, he said "Well, you did turn it to 'H', right? You know you have to wait a while for it to warm up". I was infuriated... I told him that I know I am Female, but that doesn't make me retarded, and I'm quite sure I knew how to use a shower. They sent someone up to fix it, but I went without a shower for two days. One Sunday night a note appears on the door at 5pm that says "We will be replacing the piping in all units with copper piping, starting tomorrow. It could take up to 20 days to complete." Already, I was annoyed for the lack of notice, and the fact my mom was visiting from out of town, and they were going to tear my place apart. At 8:15 pm there was a knock at the door. One of the ladies from the office is standing there. "I wanted to let you know they'll be starting your apartment tomorrow". The next day we went to work. My husband calls around 7pm. "Um, there are holes in all the walls... Not under the sinks like they said. And there is water coming from the ceiling. They put a bucket under it, but it's only catching part of it. It looks like the leak has moved and there's water coming from other parts. It's over your DVD case and CDs." I asked him to move the furniture and put another bucket under the other leak, and try not to worry. They'll fix it, right? He called back an hour later. "They came and fixed the leak, and poked holes in the ceiling to drain the water. The rug and carpet are both kind of wet." I got home, and there were holes in every single wall of my apartment EXCEPT in the bedrooms. The family room had at least 5 holes in the walls, and the ceiling is stained and ruined from one wall to the other from the leak. There were insulation and dry wall crumbs and wood splinters on every surface of the bathroom, and carpeting. All of my furniture and belongings were stacked in the center of the living room, on the couch, coffee table, turntable, on the dining table, dining chairs... And the office.. our office was so full of stuff you couldn't walk into it. The linen and hall closets had to be empties and holes cut in them too. And the shelves were ripped out of the linen closet and left in a heap on the floor of the closet, nails sticking out. All of the linens and items from the closet were stacked in the office chairs, the desk, on top of the printer, on the floor, on the book cases, everywhere. The next morning I stopped by the office to inquire on when they would have everything repaired and back to normal. "We need to have the city inspect everything before we patch". She says. "Do you mean that you need to do all 100 units before the walls can be patched?" I ask cautiously. "I'm not sure, but I think so" she says. I laughed about it all day the first day. The second day I worried. The third day I cried. And somehow crawling around the attic these morons disconnected my internet connection. And even though they finished the pipes in my apartment they had to access the attic through my apartment, so every day they traipsed in white dust and black dirt. They unplugged my things and left them unplugged. And lord knows what else they did while I was at work. And maybe I should have been grateful I wasn't my neighbors downstairs. They had a hole from their living room to the outside. I saw it on the outside of the building. The apartment was like this for 4 weeks. So when they finally came in and painted the walls, the paint they used is flat, when the original paint was glossy. So there were spots of non-shiny paint everywhere, even above the shower. The ceiling repair was really bad. They only cut out part of the damaged ceiling (leaving other damaged parts), put dry wall up, put the popcorn stuff on and painted over it with white paint. The yellow stains still showed through the paint, & the popcorn was applied sparingly and looked odd compared to the rest of the ceiling. I moved out a week later.
