If you have a healthy animal, that like all animals, eventually needs to be seen for a condition that comes up, expect to be turned away. My partner has taken her animals here for years and our animals together here for 10 years. I'm over it. I can understand any one particular instance of not being able to see us when needed, but over the last 5-6 years, it is EVERY SINGLE TIME, they can't get us in. If you don't want to take care of our dogs' health when we need you, I can get vaccinations and heartworm anywhere else. Good riddance

Once they explained what was going on they let my wife and I come to the decision to let him go without any coaxing or pushing. They have private rooms where you can sit with your family and pets for as long as you want. When it came time to say goodbye the vet explained everything to me. Again, they were very caring and compassionate. I will always miss him, but they made it easier to say goodbye. I would recommend them to anyone.

Dr. Wyss has been our vet for over 20 years of loving and caring for our pets. It has been my…read moreexperience that we are able to be with our pets while he does the exam. He has always explained to us what our pets need and why. Dr. Wyss worked very hard a few years ago to treat and save our older cat when her kidneys were shutting down. When there was nothing else he could do for her and he had no choice but to relieve her suffering, Dr. Wyss first called my husband so that he could break the sad news to me. I'll never forget how much that meant to me. The doctor allowed me all the time I needed with her in the waiting room to say my goodbyes. He gently took her from me when the time came, and he and the office staff were caring and sympathetic as they assisted us in arranging cremation for our fur-baby. We received a sympathy card signed by Dr. Wyss and his staff a few days later. I felt as though they really understood that our cat was family to us. We just adopted a new dog, and I wouldn't take her to anyone else for her care.

I recently moved back to the area so I was a bit hesitant to see a large animal vet as our new doctor and I assure you, I was wrong. Dr. Thompson is incredibly knowledgeable, caring and thorough. He is definitely not "just another small town vet". He sets the bar high for any other vet! (But hopefully he keeps us on as patients --2 cats-- so we won't have to worry again!!) I'm in my 50s and have always had a cat. I can unquestionably say, Dr. Thompson's office is the best vet experience we have ever had! Everyone from the office was wonderful, from the two phone calls prior, the entire visit, and putting my mind at ease throughout the process. Lucy is doing good and we felt incredibly well taken care of by the entire team!! I have already recommended him to my sister and niece who were looking for a vet for their dogs, and highly recommend this power team to anyone for animals of any size. As for my two girls, I am posting proof of how relaxed they felt not long after getting home. It typically takes a couple of days for them to be this relaxed after a visit. Dr. Thompson and his office truly took care of us with as little stress as possible! EXTRA INFO: The office is in an easy to get to location on hwy199, between Springtown and Azle, with entrances/exits from both 199 and Newsom Mound Road. There are safely accessible crossovers to get to/from the office via 199. (BIG ++ in the area!) The parking lot has plenty of space for parking and turning around. Plenty of space inside for you and your pet(s) as well.

I was pretty concerned, but instead of immediately pushing expensive imaging and tests, he was honest and straightforward. He told me we could certainly do more expensive diagnostics, but that he truly didn't think they were necessary at that point. He recommended starting with a simple steroid because he felt confident in his diagnosis--and he was absolutely right. I worked like a charm. I didn't know CityVet locations are individually owned, so it was comforting to learn that Dr. Aronoff actually owns this practice. There's something reassuring about knowing the veterinarian caring for your pet is personally invested in the clinic and the level of care being provided. Kaylee, the tech, was incredibly sweet and attentive as well. The entire staff was kind, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to care. The facility itself is great--clean, modern, and brand new.
