    This is my Murphy.

On Halloween 2024, I left my house and forgot to shut the closet door, which had pet food. My dog ate a whole lot of food. He sampled all of it. The cat food is his favorite. I took him to VEG ER to help him. They gave him his own room, since he was very anxious around the other dogs. They were pretty busy that night. I was very happy with the cost and the vet techs. I will definitely go there again. Really I hope that I won't need to.

Benjamin Button just a 4 days after his vestibular episode. He's made even more improvements since this pic was taken.

TEN STARS for the folks that work at VEG Emergency Group!! My 15 year old baby (Benjamin Button) suffered from a vestibular episode on 11/3. Vestibular episodes are very scary! My husband and I initially thought that our baby had had a stroke because he couldn't walk (his balance was all off) he was throwing up, and his eyes were moving rapidly and uncontrollably. When we arrived at VEG I ran inside and was greeted at the door by the nicest lady at the front desk. I immediately started crying just trying to explain his symptoms. While I was talking to her the vet (Dr. Kristen Hicks) and her team had already sprung into action and were outside with a gurney bringing our baby inside. They knew they would have to run some tests but they felt pretty confident that it was a vestibular episode- and that if given time he would more than likely come out of it. Since Button is at least 15 years old he requires a little more care and TLC than pups half his age- and he totally got it there. I was with him for almost 7 hours that day because unfortunately it was a really really busy day in the ER. The one doctor on staff that day, all of the nurses and vet techs were slammed. I witnessed so much heartbreak and happiness in one afternoon just sitting with my baby and watching these wonderful people do their jobs. I watched as they literally brought a sweet old dog back from the brink of death. I saw them console a young man who had no idea his beloved German shepherd was as sick as he was be given his options. And I saw them handle every situation with such love, care and compassion. I have so much gratitude, love and respect for Drs. Hicks and Biquet, Lisa, Kaylee, Beth and so many more!! There is no doubt that working in the Emergency Room of a Veterinarian Hospital is an incredibly difficult job but these ladies are the absolute best. My sweet boy is continuing to improve every day. We know that with his age that every single day with him is a gift. So from the bottom of our hearts- Thank you VEG!!!

Want to say these are wonderful caring people, my 12yr old cat had a heart murmur and fluid gathered in his abdomen. In 2 days he looked like had swallowed a water melon they dained almost 2Lts off my Ziggy. It gave me 1 more week with him and took him back there for his end of life care. It was done peacefully IV sedation I stayed with him till the end. They were caring and understanding offered a cremation service. Do understand the cost maybe hard for someone but it was totally worth every penny. I recommend them for any emergency pet needs or end of life services. To be with your beloved fur baby during there last moments is truely a blessing. Thank you to all the Vets and staff

GRRReat Experience!!! I called first thing on a Monday morning after I accidentally knocked a piece of raisin toast off the counter and my dog Pebbles gobbled it up before I could grab it. They told me to call Poison Control and then to call back if needed. After PC told me anything more than 2 raisins is considered toxic, I called back and they told me to come on in. From the moment we walked in all the staff was so welcoming and made you feel at ease. LOVED that they gave Pebbles her own bed to lay on while we were there. Dr. Golleher, Beth (LVT), and Cathy were AWESOME! They were calm and comforting and kept me informed of what to expect. Beth was amazing and even made a bib to keep the charcoal from getting on Pebbles as she had a photo shoot to do the next day. She didn't get a drop on her!!! I was instructed to follow up with our primary vet in 2 days for follow up labs and when our schedules didn't work out, I called VEG and they said I could bring Pebbles there to get the labs done. HUGE THANK YOU to all the amazing staff at VEG for taking such good care of my baby and providing excellent customer service!

Very nice and clean facility, you get to stay with your pet.

This is a place that I would love to work at and be proud to say that I worked there because each and every person who works in that building are Gods angels, and truly care about the animals that they treat. I will always be grateful. I know this was God's plan because it all went perfectly. Yes, I left without a dog, but I now have a new family that I would cherish with my other pets. Thank you again to each and every one of the staff who comfort my family, who gave my comforting hugs and who helped my King. I pray that this establishment continue to employee such phenomenal people who I believe are Angels. I would recommend this pet hospital anyone will listen. I am forever grateful.

Last week, after our longtime vet left the country for a much-needed vacay, our orange tabby gal (Blossom) became very ill. Prior to our vet's departure, she treated Blossom's troubling ambulatory issues. All seemed to be going well--at least until Blossom developed some worrisome respiratory symptoms. PARC did a great job caring for our eldest super senior cat, Druscilla, who had an health scare during our vet's last vacation in October 2024. Dr. Melanie Aschenberg did a fantastic job with Druscilla. She explained her treatment protocol and was very understanding. The vet tech was also wonderful with Dru, so we knew we had to contact PARC again. Just like the time prior, PARC staff were incredibly professional, accommodating, and understanding: from Alyssa (sp?) who accepted our intake call, to Cheryl (sp?) the vet tech, and to Dr. John Strohneyer, who was extremely professional, informative. He was really great with Blossom (who can be terribly skittish). Dr. Strohmeyer thoroughly evaluated Blossom and explained his diagnosis, prognosis and treatment plan. He also informed us of available options so that we could make informed decisions. Once again, PARC provided our cat exceptional care. If you're looking for great pet health care, I enthusiastically recommend PARC.

Dr then threatened to call the cops cause I took his picture when I asked what was taking so long to be seen. I left after 40 minutes and went to a different er where my cat was seen immediately. The vet spent more time with us than we typically get at Willow's primary care, answering all of our questions, explaining everything clearly, and making sure we felt comfortable with the plan. Unfortunately, our experience at the new facility last night was completely different. We brought our 5-month-old Doberman to the emergency clinic around 10:00 PM after he suddenly showed weakness in his back legs. I carried him in. Despite this, about 20 minutes later staff walked him back to me in the waiting room and asked me to remove his ear post because the doctor said she was uncomfortable doing it herself. After another 30 minutes, the doctor entered and asked the exact same questions we had already answered twice. When I pointed that out, her demeanor noticeably changed. She immediately began discussing genetic conditions, CT scans, MRIs, and surgery--without first performing or even proposing basic diagnostics such as an X-ray. When I asked whether an X-ray had been done, she responded sharply that she hadn't obtained my approval, despite never mentioning or quoting one. At that point, I declined further services and carried our puppy out. Thankfully, he is fine today. We followed up with our regular veterinarian of nearly 20 years, who agreed that monitoring for additional symptoms was the appropriate next step. I fully understand concerns around backyard breeding and puppy mills. However, we purchased our dog from a well-established, reputable breeder, and the judgment we experienced for owning a cropped-ear Doberman was unprofessional and unwarranted--especially during an emergency visit. Based on this experience, I would recommend considering other local emergency clinics. In fact, we stopped by a newly opened ER in Prosper on our way home and were treated far more appropriately.
