So.... I'm updating my review to take into account what our regular vet told us about the bleeding when it happened again, this time during regular business hours. He almost immediately linked the bleeding to an abscess tooth, and said he couldn't believe the doctors at the PARC were not able to figure that out. We have also had neighbors who have had similar experiences at the PARC, one even lost their dog after visiting there with no info or diagnosis, only a big bill and a lot of tears. In my opinion, you should AVOID this place. Go south on 35 to McAlister in Burleson instead.

I had a mystery illness with my cat Beef who kept hiding his symptoms. Dr Joyner and her team helped us to finally figure it out, work with us, and treated my family and my baby with the most respect possible. We found out his issues were much larger than what we thought, we ended up having to opt to put him down which broke my heart but Dr Joyner was with us the entire process, i wish i could actually express how grateful i am. They made a heartbreaking situation more tolerable. Clean, kind, and professional.

My 9-year old soul dog, Copper, is diabetic and got really, really sick seemingly out of nowhere this past Saturday. I took him immediately to Parc Emergency Vet, where he was diagnosed with acute HDS...I was so scared and brokenhearted at the thought that I may have to put him down because he seemed like the kind of sick that would leave me with no other choice, but they healed and tended to my fur baby all weekend and even let me come visit him in his kennel for over an hour, which really helped both of us calm our nerves! They took good care of both of us in the end, and I can't properly put into words how much I appreciate all of their kindness and compassion. It means the world to me, so thank you, thank you, thank you to the wonderful vets and vet techs at Parc Emergency Vet Clinic!!! You saved my fur son and soul dog, who is back to his loving, sweet self, and minimized my stress and anxiety in the process!!! If I could give them a hundred stars, I would!

The next morning, Dr. Biquet came in, did additional X-rays, and figured out exactly what was going on. You should have seen her face when she solved it--it was such a moment of relief. During the exam, the attending vet asked to trim some hair to get a clearer view, which I had no issue with. However, when she brought the clippers near my dog's face, my pup--who is typically calm but understandably nervous due to the irritation--became a little uneasy. I offered to help gently hold her, as she is not aggressive and the redness was visible. To my surprise, the vet suggested sedation. I was shocked by this recommendation, especially considering this was a simple visual inspection--not a surgical or invasive procedure. While some medication was prescribed and we were advised to follow up with our regular vet if symptoms continued, I left feeling uneasy and unsatisfied with the visit. In addition, the consultation did not take place in a private exam room, I guess they are see you out in the open once you walk in. There, the veterinarian was able to examine her thoroughly without issue, and we left confident in the treatment plan. Unfortunately, this meant we incurred additional costs unnecessarily, as we did not feel the care provided at VEG met the standard expected. Given the circumstances I should be refunded at minimum for the consult.

Unfortunately, our experience at the new facility last night was completely different. We brought our 5-month-old Doberman to the emergency clinic around 10:00 PM after he suddenly showed weakness in his back legs. I carried him in. Despite this, about 20 minutes later staff walked him back to me in the waiting room and asked me to remove his ear post because the doctor said she was uncomfortable doing it herself. After another 30 minutes, the doctor entered and asked the exact same questions we had already answered twice. When I pointed that out, her demeanor noticeably changed. She immediately began discussing genetic conditions, CT scans, MRIs, and surgery--without first performing or even proposing basic diagnostics such as an X-ray. When I asked whether an X-ray had been done, she responded sharply that she hadn't obtained my approval, despite never mentioning or quoting one. At that point, I declined further services and carried our puppy out. Thankfully, he is fine today. We followed up with our regular veterinarian of nearly 20 years, who agreed that monitoring for additional symptoms was the appropriate next step. I fully understand concerns around backyard breeding and puppy mills. However, we purchased our dog from a well-established, reputable breeder, and the judgment we experienced for owning a cropped-ear Doberman was unprofessional and unwarranted--especially during an emergency visit. Based on this experience, I would recommend considering other local emergency clinics. In fact, we stopped by a newly opened ER in Prosper on our way home and were treated far more appropriately.
