Because my wife and I love our vet of 25 years, it's difficult to imagine anyone else caring for our animals. I'm sure you already know where this is going. Last week, after our longtime vet left the country for a much-needed vacay, our orange tabby gal (Blossom) became very ill. Prior to our vet's departure, she treated Blossom's troubling ambulatory issues. All seemed to be going well--at least until Blossom developed some worrisome respiratory symptoms. PARC did a great job caring for our eldest super senior cat, Druscilla, who had an health scare during our vet's last vacation in October 2024. Dr. Melanie Aschenberg did a fantastic job with Druscilla. She explained her treatment protocol and was very understanding. The vet tech was also wonderful with Dru, so we knew we had to contact PARC again. Just like the time prior, PARC staff were incredibly professional, accommodating, and understanding: from Alyssa (sp?) who accepted our intake call, to Cheryl (sp?) the vet tech, and to Dr. John Strohneyer, who was extremely professional, informative. He was really great with Blossom (who can be terribly skittish). Dr. Strohmeyer thoroughly evaluated Blossom and explained his diagnosis, prognosis and treatment plan. He also informed us of available options so that we could make informed decisions. Once again, PARC provided our cat exceptional care. I have gone here since 2019, and have spent 14,491.56 since then. Never have I felt so disrespected. A completely empty ER, the Dr just standing around with his hands in his pockets for almost 40 minutes. Do they think we can't see what they're doing with all the transparent glass? Came in around 12am for an emergency visit, wasn't shown a room for the first 20 minutes till I brought it up twice, as I can physically see them just standing around. Dr then threatened to call the cops cause I took his picture when I asked what was taking so long to be seen. I left after 40 minutes and went to a different er where my cat was seen immediately. They call themselves a "hospital" which is a joke to call this any kind of hospital. Refused to give me his name and his license as is required in the state of Texas. Dr Rizwan Shazad more like Dr Death. Stands around with his hands in his pockets like this almost permenantly it seems as I arrived at 12, and left at 130. When I asked for his name at the front counter, he came up to the counter after I got his name and threatened to have me arrested cause I took a picture of him. Stay away from this place, for the prices they charge, go to a more professional ER. read more

My precious little girl was coughing violently and wheezing. We thought she had some kind of allergy. We took her in to get a steroid shot. We were greeted by very friendly staff upfront. The girls were so sweet and kind. One of them called her pumpkin. Her name is Hope but we thought that was a sweet kind thing to do. They were very personable with hope. They gave her a sedative to calm down the coughing. They then suggested and gave us prices for x-rays and other procedures before they proceeded. We were so grateful for how well we were treated. The place is so clean, it smells good, just an overall great experience. The news we got was devastating, but the doctor was kind when he explained it to us, very thorough. Hopes trachea is severely collapsed now. She's had a collapsed trachea her whole life, but it's gotten to the point where it's unbearable. We have hard choices to make, but the fact that we were able to get her into the ER so fast really helped a horrible situation last night. They gave us meds to go home with that relaxes her trachea. It will keep her comfortable. Again, very impressed with The Parc staff and knowledge. read more

So.... I'm updating my review to take into account what our regular vet told us about the bleeding when it happened again, this time during regular business hours. He almost immediately linked the bleeding to an abscess tooth, and said he couldn't believe the doctors at the PARC were not able to figure that out. We have also had neighbors who have had similar experiences at the PARC, one even lost their dog after visiting there with no info or diagnosis, only a big bill and a lot of tears. In my opinion, you should AVOID this place. Go south on 35 to McAlister in Burleson instead. read more

Do not take your pet babies here. I sat there Saturday for my dog possibly having a assessment tooth and face swelling and sat there 3 1/2 hours only to be told I should book and appointment. I ask if they could start some antibodies and something for swelling and they said no until Dr see her. This is totally un acceptable . They do not care about animals. All the workers were on their phones and worried about getting lint and dog hair off there clothes instead of trying to find a solution to helping us. Very unprofessional. Dr Joyner and her team helped us to finally figure it out, work with us, and treated my family and my baby with the most respect possible. We found out his issues were much larger than what we thought, we ended up having to opt to put him down which broke my heart but Dr Joyner was with us the entire process, i wish i could actually express how grateful i am. My 9-year old soul dog, Copper, is diabetic and got really, really sick seemingly out of nowhere this past Saturday. I took him immediately to Parc Emergency Vet, where he was diagnosed with acute HDS...I was so scared and brokenhearted at the thought that I may have to put him down because he seemed like the kind of sick that would leave me with no other choice, but they healed and tended to my fur baby all weekend and even let me come visit him in his kennel for over an hour, which really helped both of us calm our nerves! They took good care of both of us in the end, and I can't properly put into words how much I appreciate all of their kindness and compassion. They used to be really great group of Vets but they have had quite the turnover not to mention pricey. We had an emergency situation and normally any vet we got we were super pleased with until the last visit. We had to wait over 2 hrs in a room when he finally came in acted annoyed and didn't even offer an apology for the wait. My dog was coughing but would only prescribe doxycycline if we did an chest x-ray (300.00). So $$ wasted for no relief or diagnosis. Went to feed store picked up some doxycline and my fur baby was cured in just a few days. What a RACKET this place is!! read more

If I could give this place one star I would. I showed up late one night after having found that my dog had been attacked by other dogs. Her ribs had been broke (among other injuries that I wouldn't find out until later). They turned me away saying their only doctor was leaving at midnight and I would have to go somewhere else for treatment. The staff just kept repeating how much treatment would cost to help my dog rather than providing any useful information or performing ANYTHING to help her. They did basically little to nothing and sent me to go to VEG. She ended up passing away later that night. These people who work with animals show very little compassion towards you and you furry loved one. read more

My dog ate some medication and this was the only emergency vet apparently anymore in FW... About 400 for induced vomiting and a few medicines. They wanted to keep her to watch for 48 hrs, quoted me 3800 dollars. I passed. It's a very nice facility, and they have a lot of employees. But I got the feeling like I was at a car lot...trying make a sale. I honestly do not think they're in the business of helping people and their pets. I think they are only there to make money. Which, I know that there are people that won't blink an eye and pay it...but just seemed insanely expensive....more so than human medical care (in my opinion). read more

I came from a terrible horrible hospital that very obviously did not care for my cat. By the time I came in , my cat was sick for 4 days , couldn't eat or drink and was so so so sick. I came into PARC and immediately they sprung into action. Everyone from the people answering the calls to the techs and the doctor especially were super caring . They did WAY MORE than the first hospital did without even asking . They were caring , they were inviting and they above all else wanted to make sure our boy , Bones was ok. He was not . When it was discovered that he needed surgery they did everything they could to make sure it happened. But it didn't end there . The techs , doctor and even front office staff kept me at ease as I was a ball of stress and completely expecting to lose our baby, did everything needed to make sure he was taken care of and safe and that we also were educated and able to know what was going on. My cat-son went into surgery, and it was a big one (to me anyway) I called multiple times to check on him throughout the night as he stayed overnight, and everyone was so caring . At no point did I feel like a nuisance, they were inviting and welcoming to all questions. I brought our baby home , and he didn't do well for a while. I called so many times in tears and I was always met with the upmost professionalism, and caringness . They gave me avenues to take care of him and things to do . And we're always ALWAYS there for me . I've cried on the phone so many times to them and they were always caring . We were originally at a "hospital " where they only cared about money not our Bones so it was refreshing that they cared . They have sent me messages, they have called several times and even emailed me to make sure he is ok. They are truly TRULY amazing. Thank you to all that helped Bones . To know if I kept listening to the original vet he would be gone now , but is here BECAUSE OF YOU , I owe you so much. He saw Dr. G and after x-rays, no blood work, we left with no answers or medications as to what he was sick with. They sent him home and we took him to see another vet where they determined he had ulcers in his mouth which staff at the Parc did not check, he was in severe kidney failure which Parc staff did not check. He died 6 days later. I would highly recommend you not bring your pet to this place and trust in another vet. read more

This place at one time was wonderful. Since opening the new building, my experience hasn't been the same. I had a 20 year old fur baby that was half blind and starting to have cognitive problems( dementia). I could tell her quality of life was declining and it was time to let her go and not suffer. I called after hours and brought her in. They left her alone on a heating pad and I could hear hear howling and scream, because she experiences confusion. I located a tech and asked them to please bring her in the room with me, not to leave her in that stressful state. When they brought her in, she was soaked in urine from sitting in it. No one cleaned her. By this time my dog was a nervous wreck. I cleaned her with her favorite blanket I brought with us. After she passed away, she was left on the table for a while and no one came to get her. I kept tell techs I was ready to leave. I finally left and could see her through the glass window outside just lying there as I drove off. It was not a pleasant experience for my dog or myself during her final hours. read more

I wouldn't recommend taking your pets here even if emergent. They are awfully quick to suggest all kinds of costly tests that provide no answers. Give tons of meds that make the problem go away temporarily only for your pet to get sick again and have to get MORE costly tests. We've been told for DAYS that the vet would call us with results and we keep calling back to find out they've left for the day and will call back - they don't! It's super great sitting here for 3 hours with no help. 1 1/2hours in the waiting room, another 11/2 in the room and we're still counting. I understand them needing to take emergencies first and someone did come in after me with a bleeding dog. That makes sense to take care of that first. But 4 other people that came in after me have been seen and left and I'm still sitting in the room with my cat for over an hour. A bunch of people just walking around doing busy work 1 vet sitting in a glass room barely looking up.The vet tech that helped me was kind enough to try to help. First time client and I am very pleased. Took my dog to see dr Melanie Aschenberg for her allergies that started around the time we came to Texas. They went with a skin sample to rule out mange and an ear stain to test for yeast/bacteria. Took less then 10 minutes for them to get the results. When she came back she went over a list of medications to start her on to get rid of the skin and ear infection. Overall the pricing was very reasonable, only 411 for everything included. Much lesser than I was expecting coming from California. The hospital was very clean and everyone was super friendly. I wish I could remember the ladies name who took us back to our room, she was so sweet! Very talkative and loved our girl. It was Saturday afternoon and my precious pup, Chico was in pain. Vets I called locally were booked or closed or had no appointments until later the next week! I did not want to wait that long to get him some relief. One of the Vets I called recommended The PARC. I called and they had several Vets on staff on a Saturday afternoon and even during COVID19, I could accompany Chico into the exam. So, off we went on the 18 minute drive north to The PARC. Upon entering we were greeted warmly, given paperwork to fill out and before I could finish the paperwork, Scott came and took us back to the exam room. He took such good care of Chico...and me. We were treated like we were the only ones there, but the place was busy. We were never left alone for too long and the process was explained in detail on what to expect, what charges there would be, and how the exam would happen. Then Dr. Chong came in. She actually got down on the floor with Chico so he did not have to move and cause any more pain than necessary to him. I've never had a Vet just sit on the floor with any animal I've had and let him get used to her and treat him with such respect. Chico is a nervous dog around new people, and at his last visit to another Vet closer to home, he was a mess...not letting them examine him, reliving himself on their floor even having to be muzzled (but he's not even a biter). So much so, the Vet had to come get me to help calm him down. I was not allowed in because of COVID19 restrictions. Not this time! The professionals at The PARC took care of my dog, helping him get used to them. He sheds a lot when nervous and Dr. Chong thanked him for the present of a handful of fur he shed while being petted. It was a cute moment that told me a lot about the Doctor. She loves animals and her job, and her patients are important to her. Today (Tuesday) I received a text from Scott following up to see how Chico was doing. That's never happened before from any other Vet, either. Very nice service touch, if you ask me. Now, don't get me wrong. This trip was expensive. But I knew it would be...a 24/7 ER Vet is not going to be cheap. But the service, explanation, and care Chico received was exceptional. It may be far from home and a bit more costly than a Vet closer to home, but I think we will be back there for our regular Vet visits. After all, Chico is worth it, and his health is important. Great facility with below average service. Environment felt very corporate and staff was disengaged. I decided to come in particularly because I noticed blood in my pet's urine, after a urinalysis, bloodwork and $400 dollars later....the vets didn't find anything wrong with my pet. Doctor charged for an exam but didn't even touch my dog at all (dog never even got on the exam table while the doctor was in the room). In addition to the normal exam they also charge a "clinical support fee" but there is no explanation as to what that is in the bill. Beware, beware! Depends on the vet you get. We've had some great vets for some of our other visits, but the one we had last (Dr. Jose Lopez) misdiagnosed our dog and then recommended we euthanize him if we weren't going to take his neurology specialist referral that he estimated came with a $10k price tag. ($10k seems to be the magic number with these people. That was a previous estimate for a surgery for another dog we brought in, too. That price appears regularly in these reviews. I'm not sure if that's a price they use to try to deter people from getting their pets help, or what, but they love to quote that.) We were told they would hospitalize our dog until we could get him to a neurologist the next day, but someone who called herself our "advocate" said we couldn't stay with him. (That made me extremely uncomfortable since we were told at another visit with another of our dogs that we could stay as long as we wanted with that one.) Nothing seemed right about this. All the transparency of the glass rooms is lost when we never once saw the vet interact with our dog at all and we would have to leave him there alone. I don't even know if this vet examined our dog, honestly. If he did, he did it poorly or he did it after the opioid shot was administered, because he got it all wrong. He claimed our dog was "not aware" of his back legs and had no sensation. He claimed he couldn't walk again. (See video of our dog walking outside after a couple of weeks of crate rest and muscle relaxers.) His other "diagnoses" were completely untrue, as well... Namely, the parts that would have called for urgent euthanasia (i.e., when he said he couldn't urinate or defecate on his own)! I have no idea what tests were supposedly performed to validate any of this, but they certainly weren't accurate. (He also noted in the records we ordered that our dog had no heart murmur. False. It's grade 3.) We were told if we didn't like that we couldn't stay with our dog, we could always take him to another ER for a second opinion. Our "advocate" even recommended which ER we use, which turned out to be a great recommendation! This was the only valuable service provided for our $600+. So, we transferred our dog to the other ER that day and that vet was great. We followed up with our regular vet who gave us a treatment plan and a more positive outlook. With 2 weeks of cold laser therapy and crate rest, our dog was walking on his own again. And, by the way, he never had an issue urinating or defecating on his own. If you feel like you don't trust a diagnosis, get a second opinion. I'm so grateful we did. read more
