After the farmers market, we slipped in here for brunch since my sibling raved about this place. It's so pretty and such a beautiful atmosphere with the friendliest workers. There is a bunch of seating inside and outside, with benches/chairs/couches/sofas etc. You can tell that people come here for the energy -- whether that's doing some work, reading, or just hanging out with their peers. We ordered the coco acai bowl to share on this hot day. It was delicious and refreshing, the coconut hardened into a shell which melted in your mouth. Towards the end, there was a huge hardened section of coconut oil at the bottom of the bowl. Unfortunately, once it's hardened in a huge block, you can't really eat it or scoop it. We also got the vegano pizza to share with arugula on top. The vegan ranch tasted phenomenal, it had a great flavor and zesty seasoning. The pizza itself was fluffy and easy to eat. Our orders came out fairly fast and we ate it just as quick. The pizza was so delicious that we demolished it in less than ten minutes. I like how they gave us reusable dish-ware that fit the vibes of this place, they were colorful and unique. They have a section where you leave your dishes after you're finished eating. A very large selection of coffees AND food. Both the food and coffee was outstanding and very well balanced. This is definitely one of the cutest coffee shops I've been to and if I wasn't traveling through, I'd make myself a regular. 12/10 recommend!! As for the coffee (coming from a coffee shop owner) this was the best, most unique flavor I've experienced from another coffee shop. I've been here at least 10 times so this is based on cumulative experience not just one visit. First let me say the food here has always been good, but the place has enough other problems that I won't be going back, at least not for awhile. The beer is always warm. The coffee lukewarm . There is no dairy available for the coffee or tea. Which is odd for a supposed coffee place. The biggest problem though is their service model which has the customer very inconveniently doing all of the work. We stopped by for breakfast recently and we both got bagels. It was a cool enough so we were sitting out in the courtyard. When our name was called I went to the pickup counter and beheld our bagels sitting precariously on two narrow plastic paddles. I was informed about the plates and forks and silverware in front of me as I contemplated how I was going to get our food, plus our drinks ( sitting without saucers on the drink pickup counter on my left) plus the aforementioned plates,napkins and silverware with these two silly paddles as my only means of conveyance .To her credit an employee offered to "follow me" with part of our order as I stood there in bewilderment . Instead I went and got my wife and we somehow loaded everything we needed. We get to the door and realized it only opens in not out to the patio. I have to put my load down on a nearby table, open the door so that my wife can stand in front of it and prop it open. When we get to the table which is way too small fo these long paddle thingies, I just want to shout loud enough for someone in "management" to hear "WOULD IT BE TOO MUCH TO BUY A COUPLE DOZEN TRAYS FOR THE CONVENIENCE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS?!!" Maybe they like having us get our exercise, or maybe it's just a lame joke that they never get tired of. Either way I'm done. I wanted to just leave all the stuff on the table out of resentment , but we bussed it ourselves ( which is the expectation) like the good workers we are and left. read more

Orange cinnamon latte With 2 shots of ___ ... Very tassty ... no issue there. My only concern was that the tower of açaí... concerning for who had the skill to create a masterpiece... I ordered it because the couple after us walked by with two açaí bowls. Only reason I ordered is that antioxidants are great for the soul. Pepperoni pizza is paper thin with the right amount of cheese blend in with the right amount of crust . I would recommend the pizza. My brother approves. Lovely cafe, I have gone here many times and the ambiance is always the absolute best. Out of all the cafes in El Paso and Las Cruces this is my absolute favorite. They have a lot of food options for vegetarians but I am not too sure it would be perfect for picky eaters. I adore it nontheless. This review is for the acai bowls. Absolutely fantastic! A few days a week I would stop somewhere and get breakfast on my way to work - burrito, donuts...the usual. Then a co-worker walked into the office with one of the acai bowls and I HAD to have one. Now I go exclusively here on those few days a week to get one for breakfast. The cleanse bowl (small) is perfect. It's a acai sundae with strawberry, banana, pineapple and granola. A fabulous and healthy way to start my day. The space is lovely. Though I get my cup to go. Lots of comfy places to sit and relax while you enjoy a coffee or pizza. I may try their pizza at some point. But for now...my heart belongs to the acai bowls! Let people complain about their lack of cow's milk or how fast they sell out of pastries in the morning. We needed an outing from El Paso and we drove to Mesilla for New Mexican food. There was a line out the door so we tried this place with vegan options. We had the vegan pizza and the jackfruit carnitas. The pizza was good, the carnitas lacked flavor but they were good. The jackfruit flavor came through despite the seasoning. My husband liked them but since I make my own, I am much more picky. The service was great! Very busy place! read more

OMG my son & I love Grounded! Today was our first visit, and we stopped in for a good cup of coffee. He had latte, I ordered Americano. When he asked if they served whole milk, they said no but try oat milk- it's much creamier than almond milk. They also had a coconut option. I was a hit skeptical but don't like almond milk in coffee. We were both so pleasantly surprised that we lingered, chatted, sipped. Smooth mellow coffee without that acidic afterburn! When we thanked the friendly, smiling staff for the recommendation, they thanked us for being open minded! We were asked to write a review and I said I'd gladly get the word out! My son said they've added more than double the space they started with, and they now have a pizza oven. They offer crust and vegan options! We saw individual pies come out, and I was amazed to see one person eat a whole one- biggest personal size I've ever seen! Fresh toppings, crust looked just right thickness & crispness with a touch of scorch to the bubbled edges- perfect, in our Italian minds! We can't wait to go back for coffee while we wait for pizza to go so my son & I can enjoy a pizza & movie night! Great reading & work nooks, sofas, tables, in 3 different rooms with plants, art (even in the bathroom!), & even different noise levels. In all, an enjoyable and relaxing place to curl yourself around a hot cuppa for some conversation & people watching (we sat at the two window seats in the room to the left of the counter). There's even outdoor seating in La Esquina. Their croissants looked crisp and were massive. We will most likely make this our daily coffee stop for the week I'm in town, and I'm sure my son will become a regular. We felt so welcomed and appreciated by their entire, beautiful staff. I went there for the first time and ordered a pour over coffee, which was listed on the menu for $4. When I ordered, I was asked if I wanted light or medium roast and I chose light. I was charged $5 for the coffee, but didn't notice the difference in price until after I paid. I asked why the coffee was a dollar more than listed on the menu. The barista said that it was because I asked for light roast. I was not informed that there would be an additional charge for choosing light. I told her that this additional charge should be listed on the menu so that it is clear what people are paying for. Aside from this, the cost of $4 for a pour over coffee whose flavor was nothing extraordinary was a bit expensive considering that I pay about the same for the same in the Seattle area where minimum wage is $16.28 per hour and the coffee and ambiance is generally about the same. read more

Omg. This place has the best pizza I have ever tasted. I ordered the Shroom pie which had mushrooms and panchetta. Talk about a flavor burst! The wood fired crust was just the right consistency and the cheese to topping ratio was just right. I was in El Paso for work when I heard about this place and it was well worth the drive. I was almost tempted to order 2 more pizzas for the ride home but decided against being a glutton. Anytime I'm in the area in the future, though, I will definitely come back. A+++. read more

I just moved to Alamogordo from the San Francisco Bay Area, and was having a hard time adjusting to very little around me. I'm so used to having hundreds of coffee shops to go to for a good cup of coffee or studying. I am so grateful to have found Grounded! Every coffee I have gotten (cold brew w/ all available flavors with oat milk), have been amazing. The pizza is insane. The bowls are so flavorful and filling. All the staff have been friendly and great with recommendations. I am a student and get bored of going to the public library, since there are lack-of good coffee shops in Alamogordo. I will revolve my day to drive to Las Cruces to have a good cup of coffee, food occasionally, and to study here. Well worth the hour drive. read more
