I drive an all wheel drive, so I believe I would have had to change all 4 tires, which for me is something like $1200. I took it to kingdom tire and he said it was close but he'd try. When he patches, he takes the tire off the rim and does an internal patch, not a plug from the outside. This was 2 months ago and I'm riding good. He saved my near new tires from needing replacement, and I'm honestly grateful he was even willing to try, because most places wouldn't take on that repair considering it a liability.

(I blame it on my GPS; it told me to go right on a couple of tire tracks which led straight into the sand drift.) I tried and tried to get out but my car kept sinking deeper and deeper into the sand. After calling 911, I was transferred to the CHP who asked if I needed a tow truck. YES!! David from Yucca Valley Towing to the rescue. He found me (in the middle of nowhere), hooked me up with a tow and in literally five minutes I was back in business and rolling down the gravel road towards pavement. And bless David for telling me this happens all the time and that I was not a complete idiot. He was so nice to a stranded traveler! From the time I called 911 to the time I reached pavement was less than an hour. And this was IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE. TEN STARS! (PS. Don't be like me; don't trust your GPS with your life in the middle of nowhere. And make sure you have a charged cell phone and plenty of water at all times.)
