This location does not take thr same insurance as the other location. The scheduler does not know that. If you need an ultrasound done, they will schedule you and call you a few days later saying you were either double booked, or the ultrasound tech is not in that day, or that you were scheduled in a room that doesnt do ultrasounds. Then they will reschedule you for two to three weeks after your initial scheduled date. This has happened to me three times with rolling oaks radiology. It is unacceptable. They say they do more mammograms now than ultrasounds. Their schedulers are not in house and are not reliable. read more

I prefer writing about happier things, like falafels and pizzas, but sometimes grim reality intrudes. I recently had to have a CAT scan before a surgery. Astonishingly, Cottage could not do the type of scan the surgeon required (with a dye injected to clearly define the inner workings of my heart), so I had to go to Grossman Imaging, a private provider in Ventura. The wait was short; the procedure went efficiently. Still, the signs on the doors are alarming. I mean, who likes to be radiated? But, no complaints If you have to have it done this place is fine. First time at this location on Loma Vista! Its a very clean and well spaced office. The staff was courteous and professional. I have a very bad fear of closed MRIs and I expressed this to Jake ( the gentlemen who did the exam) and he was very understanding and explained the process. He was the BEST! I have been here twice. Once for myself and recently to bring my mother in. Wait times were usually lengthily, but I am guessing they have you come earlier than they actually have you scheduled for. The front staff is "okay". Most staff there are super nice, but there are workers who seem not to care as much. Every worker, tech, doctor I encountered after being called back were very nice and helpful. Minus the star because there is room for improvement for front desk staff. Btw, even though you are whispering your gossip at the front desk, we can hear it clearly in waiting room. read more

I wish I could give this Imaging place more stars but I have already had 3 less than expected incidents here: 1) During one MRI the call bell wasn't working and because people had ended their shift, there was only one tech present who left the area leaving me unattended. I ended up screaming trying to get someone's attention, which has left me very insecure about this place. 2) An MRI on a shoulder caused me to overheat as the cool air that normally blows was turned off. 3) I swore to myself I would never return during hours when techs were going home or to lunch due to unsafe potential situations that might arise. Then today happened!!! My MRI was scheduled to begin at 3pm. I spoke to the MRI Manager, Janice, in anticipation of needing to make sure I would not be left alone. She assured me she would speak to the techs and would be there during the time I was having my MRI. Not only did she not show up, but the tech who began with me (Taylor) and popped in from time to time to make sure I was comfortable and ok, came in about 5 minutes before my scanning was done to tell me she was leaving for the day and the "other tech" behind the glass would finish the test and help me get out of being strapped down to the MRI table. The 2nd tech (Betsy) seemed to not know what she was doing; never introduced herself or made eye contact with me, pushed a button to no avail leaving me half stuck inside the tube, then pulled on the MRI table I was lying on above my head causing a significant jerk of my whole body. She still didn't have me out so she went to the rear of the machine to seemingly push buttons on that side and not once did she try to calm my nerves or reassure me. She finally did get me out but it only raised my internal alarm that much more! I also became over-heated several times during today's MRI so we had to stop the machine so my body heat come accommodate again. No one suggested taking my temperature but my body became very hot and uncomfortable more than once. read more

I'm a middle-aged certified BABY when it comes to injections. While I'm fairly certain I may have been annoying the very young Dr, he was SO PATIENT with me. And, ROXANNE! She was AMAZING!! I had to get a cortisone shot in my hip and it sucked. It was NOT comfortable at all. I complained, I cried, I cursed. (In general, not specifically directed at them) Nonetheless, they were OUTSTANDING!!! I hope I never have to get another cortisone shot. But if I have to, I want the same Dr. And I won't do it without ROXANNE by my side. (I don't remember the Drs name but he was young with wavy hair and super friendly ... and Italian I believe.) Bonus: the gal who helped me at the front counter was also kind and friendly. read more

My review is for 2900 Loma Vista location, in the Coastal Communities Cancer Center... If you're part of the oh so exclusive club of people with cancer, you probably get pet scans. I have Kaiser insurance, and they contract with Grossman for pet scans if you're in Ventura. Without a doubt, the kindest, most professional, pleasant experience ever in the world of pet scans. At this location, all they do is pet scans, and they are friendly, efficient, kind and 'can do/make it happen.' I am very grateful for the staff here and the experience they provide. Grossman refused to honor a full left breast ultrasound order in January that I am trying to save since a right masectomy 2 years ago. They would only target nodules. Didn't follow orders. Then 6 months later offered me a free ultrasound to make up for their error. An ultrasound 10 months before my tumor showed up revealed that the technician and radiologist didn't make sure the bottom area of the ultrasound was complete. Could have caught my tumor 10 months earlier. Wanted to recently review the films and Jan and Judy, administrators fought me for a year - saying yes and then no, then go to your doctor. I've been here several times over the past decade for a variety of issues and don't recall any problems. Last week I came for a routine mammogram. Arrived 30 minutes early for paperwork and then waited 30 minutes beyond my appointment for them to realize the technician wasn't even there (after I questioned the time). Chalked it up to a simple inconvenience. So I'm back today to try again. Currently 30 minutes after my appointment time and m still sitting in the lobby. Sigh. Looks like time to get a new office for my annual mammogram. Update: finally called back about 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment. The technician was very nice as usual. Maybe I'll be back. Made an appointment for my son to get an X-ray. He was there on time ... and then had to wait for an hour until he could be seen. There are plenty of other imaging centers ... try them before you go to Grossman and have to wait an hour for something that should take 10 minutes. read more

Great place to get a CAT scan or x-ray with little notice from a doctor. Make sure to go to Grossman early, as the employees work best in the morning. The receptionist desk processed insurance information fast and radiologist techs were extremely nice and efficient. My visits have taken no longer than 30 minuets tops. I recommend for all that need radiology services to stop on by and give this place a try! read more

This particular office is poorly organized. They set appointments for customers and they know they do not have a technician at that time in the office. They make you wait like your time is not important. Plus if you want a copy all your images you have to go to Oxnard office in solar drive to get them, file paperwork and pay for them. After you have paid for the x-ray you still have to pay for the copy or the x-rays. They are nothing but a rip off. Go somewhere else to get your x-rays done. read more

My mom had an appointment and one of the girls upfront was rude because her insurance was inactive which she was willing to pay out of pocket for the service. She was told by the girl that she couldn't and had to wait on her insurance and gave her attitude. Another staff member tried helping my mom and went out of her way to see what she could do but the other girl kept telling her that she had already told my mom no. This facility needs better staff members that are willing to help people not be rude. read more

Grossman's was very pleasant. Scan for temp at the door, mask required. Check in was easy, paperwork was only a few quick pages and a few signatures. Seriously, some of the nicest staff I've encountered. I had forgotten my wallet but had my items digitally, the nurse at the front printed out my insurance card and taped it up for me to keep in case I needed it for the future (instead of a digital version ....which I've had some push back lately with a few places that want a physical card). The tech/assistant who did my interview was nice to talk to, knowledgeable, had a few laughs, and he sat and listened to me tell my whole story about why I was getting the scan in the first place. The doctor who took care of me was friendly, patient, and explained everything to me as he was doing it which made feel very comfortable. A scan is not something someone goes to and looks forward to, but the staff sure was nice and made me feel comfortable and they were professional. read more

My husband was scheduled for an epidural when we were told his appointment was cancelled due to a maintenance need on the machine. This change meant that we were not able to fly to Tucson for a significant family birthday party. I left a voice mail for scheduler Patty, explaining our dilemma: without the appointment we would miss the party and my husband would continue to be in pain. The procedure scheduler, Patty, somehow worked her magic and the shot was performed the day we needed. Dr. Muasher explained every step and my husband reported almost no discomfort.
