Here with a client. She loves it here great bargains on most everything. Cool concept. She is able to ship and save money. You have to look closely for out of date items. Other than that it's recommended for those on a fixed income.

    The world's best gummy worms!

Great prices! The produce section could use a little help as there were several different items that were on the older / past their prime stage and not very appetizing. They do have the best tasting bag of gummy worms (Albanese) in my opinion (and I'm not a candy fan). I initially bought one of their bags of gummy worms for my son who loves all gummy worms and when I tried them I was pleasantly surprised. So today, I had to buy another bag and I'm not sure I'll share with my son . The cashier was friendly and personal. You can find some really good deals on various items. They even appear to have some one of a kind items that I haven't seen before. One of which I'll give a try (organic pure MorningA, a plant based superfood powder). Check expiration dates on canned / boxed goods. Some are close to expiration. They have a decent selection and again really good prices.

I LOVE the Grocery Outlet up in Marysville, so I thought I would check out the one in Kenmore on my way home. First of all I don't like the set up, but that's just me, it was hard to get around with the cart. There was a HUGE spill all over in the produce area and I watched 3 different employees leave it. I was in the store almost 45 minutes and not one person cleaned it up. It was right in the main walk area so you couldn't avoid it. I had to walk thru it in my boot cast, which luckily I didn't fall, because it was a slippery mess. The produce area was all disheveled, and it took me forever to find things. There was an employee unloading boxes into the frozen/ refrigerated area...but he was taking up more room than he needed and was making it impossible to get thru. He made zero attempt to move or be helpful. I just wasn't impressed with the selection, the store itself, or the staff......until I got to the check out. Really nice lady working up front, full of personality. Very friendly, told me about some tasty items I should try, etc. The worst part of the whole thing is that their parking is on a slight hill, so after shopping, when you are trying to load your groceries into your car, the cart is trying to roll down the hill. Not convenient at all.

I have been a customer of Grocery Outlet since I was a poor college student and it was called: Canned Food Outlet. Back then, they sold dented cans and expired food. Boy, have things changed for the better since! My husband fondly calls the Grocery Outlet "the garage sale for food". Simply put, merchandise is always changing and you're most likely only going to see a particular brand product once. Grocery Outlet offers close out deals, test market products, products close to the expiration date, and many labels from different geographic areas that may have not sold well. Every time we go to shop, the merchandise is always different. If you see something you like, don't wait! Throw it in your cart and purchase 10! Odds are, the next time you shop, that product you love will be gone. To me, what's truly great about the Grocery Outlet shopping experience......you'll rarely see the same thing twice. There's always a changing display of different merchandise. For example, they will always carry jams and jellies. One week, it might be name brand Smuckers. The next week, it might be a store brand name from the south like Piggly Wiggly. Since the early days, Grocery Outlet has truly evolved. The Kenmore store recently did a store reset and now offers a full aisle of organic products! It's amazing to see organics at a bargain price. The store offers many other grocery amenities. I particularly enjoy browsing the cold section - they have a fantastic assortment of cheeses and deli meats. Wonderful charcuterie options to make a tasty platter or yummy sandwich! There's also a great selection of dairy, particularly yogurt. Judy is the owner of the Kenmore location. She's been in the grocery business for many years and her store reflects her passion. The store is clean and well organized and employees are friendly. Over the years, Judy has recognized me as frequent customer and now calls me by name and always says hello. I enjoy shopping at GO and more often than not, come home with some amazing bargains and deals!

Their new address is located in the Kenmore poverty mall, next to a Dollar Tree, across the lot from the defunct bowling alley card room.

This store has several issues it seems not to be able to fix; inventory management is one obvious…read moreone. In one example, too often there are largely empty shelves in the yogurt aisle. In some cases, it may be featured ad items which you'd think they'd be prepared for. But when ads break on Wednesdays, why are those items not even on shelves yet? Then again, a day or two after the ad breaks, featured products are already gone and those shelves are empty, if they were ever stocked in the first place. Another challenge seems to be personnel related, which again reflects on management. This afternoon there was only one checker working at a time when people are just getting off work. She had people with several full carts backed up and there was also a line at the "self check out." It seems to put both the employee and customer in a negative situation. On top of that, it looks like there's a fair amount of staff turnover? There's a newer Safeway up in Bothell that is a newer, cleaner store and better organized. I hope that this Kenmore store can improve. If the Bothell store wasn't 3 times further away, I'd probably shop there more...or just go to the Freddy's store at Totem Lake.

I've put off reviewing the store for several years because it's my neighborhood Safeway and I want…read moreit to be successful. So this is overdue. First, make sure to be on the lookout for rotten food, especially produce. On a pick up order. I once got a bag of spinach with green liquid in the bottom that was two weeks expired. More recently I accidentally bought a bag of lemons, most of which were so rotten that my finger poked through one when I reached in the bag. I've also seen packaged goods on the shelf well past their expiration dates. You'll want to check your receipt carefully, as well. I've never been one to do that, but have had to learn to with this store. On my most recent trip, I bought 14 items and was overcharged a total of $8.50 on four of them. First they ask if you clipped all the coupons, as though their mistakes must be the customers' fault. Adding insult to injury, you have to return to the store to get back the money they've effectively stolen. Since this happens so often, you have to wonder if they're really mistakes, or just part of the business plan...because they're just not making enough profit on the already obscenely expensive prices? Finally, last Thanksgiving, I visited the meat department to buy turkey parts rather than a whole bird. When I could find none, I asked a very nice meat department employee who said she was told "if we do it for one person then we have to do it for everyone." ??? I called back later and was told it was just a misunderstanding with a new employee. But again, I had to go back to the store a second time, time, frustration, and gas on me. In general, the customer staff are great and I feel sorry for them having to deal with so many screw ups they likely didn't create. However, when I asked how there could be such old spinach on the shelves and how it made its way into in my order, the answer I got was, "Just laziness to be honest," So maybe I'm being generous. Anyway, shop here at your own peril, check the produce and expiration dates carefully, and review your receipt before going home to save yourself a second trip. Even though it's a hassle, I now go to a different store whenever possible

The barista(s) were nice and the latte came out relatively fast--an employee was being trained, so it took a little extra time. Not only was the "hot food" breakfast sandwich a better deal than the cold one, but it also looked more appealing! It had an herb biscuit, bacon, egg, and cheese; perfect for the morning. When I walked in, the first thing that I noticed was the extensive bakery. In the bakery, there's a massive cookie dough case. I have never seen anything like this before. I think if I lived here. I would be a cookie addict. The pastries all look very wonderful and there was a huge selection. I came later in the afternoon, so most of it was sold out, but I can't even imagine in the morning when it's bustling with new bakes. The rest of this market was very clean and organized. All produce looked very fresh. The woman at the cookie counter was so nice and chatty with me on the cookie dough they offered. Love this type of wonderful service.
