That said, although the variety is good here, quality of some of the items is not great. And you'd have to be a good shopper to know that some of the prices are fairly high compared to others (e.g. disposable plastic tongs at almost $5 a piece!!), while some are competitive or better. I was looking for a bamboo steamer and I wasn't able to find it. I thought that would be a pretty standard item for a store like this one. Oh well. I did notice upon entering the store that their wide selection of stainless steel stock pots were of heavy gauge quality, ginormous woks for the flame torch cooks, and that they have just about every style of dishes seen in Chinese/Vietnamese/Japanese restaurant in the area. The family that runs the store seems friendly. The son was very polite and was nice to not charge me the cents portion of my bill. Note that there's a min. $50 requirement to use credit card here.

The cashiers are nice and they speak Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, the store has more foreign staff so don't expect perfect English. Overall this store is pretty nice and might need more selection but they should take more care of their produce but I do recommend this store since most items are cheap.

Shelves are still not fully stocked, so don't expect to find everything you need yet. I had 3 items ring up incorrectly during my visit. I highly recommend taking pictures of prices as you shop because the pricing is very misleading. For example, the walk-in entrance had a pallet displaying one price, but when I found the item in its actual aisle location, it showed a completely different price! I shouldn't have to memorize every price and constantly watch the register screen to make sure things ring up correctly. When I brought up the price discrepancy, I was told the price hasn't been changed since last year and she quickly removed the sticker. However, I had taken a photo showing the updated price label from just about 2 weeks ago, which made the situation even more confusing and frustrating--why lie? Also disappointed that the watermelon I bought was bad when I opened it at home but it looked and had all the great indicators it was a good watermelon Meat section prices are pretty competitive and looks fresh. I originally wanted to give a better rating because the employees were nice, but I removed another star due to the misleading pricing, which is a HUGE issue. I hope the new ownership gets things together soon because this place still has a long way to go.

Some of the $1 blackberries I purchased was starting to mold. They have a lot of items here. Worth it to check it out if you are in need of something right away, but they close early.

It looks clean & well maintained. Produce look fresh, except for the little cart with produce that has gone past its prime---which I can appreciate coz I found a bag of ginger for $0.99. At regular Asian markets these may sell for $5/lb-- and are packaged. Sometimes you just want one or two pieces for whatever you're cooking that week and the whole package will just rot if you don't use it all. So there's that. Like HMart & 99 Ranch markets, most of their produce are packaged and wrapped in plastic. Staff here appear friendly enough. Some cashiers actually greet you while others just don't acknowledge you at all. Ah, the lost art of customer service. I know, this ain't Sprouts or Ralph's where it's usually standard & customary to acknowledge or greet customers. All in all, I appreciate this store for what is is.
