This place is awesome! What a great workout in 45 minutes. I love Cassie's 8am Sunday class!

Normally, I'd give a facility like this 5 stars....But there's just something vile and disgusting about dudes taking off their shirts....while riding....it's totally unnecessary and doesn't prove anything.....kinda childish and juvenile.....On a lighter note...The music played is really good...excellent format.... read more

OBSESSED!!! This is by far the best cycle class I've ever gone to. Their amazingly kind staff is so helpful in setting up your bikes and putting the clips on your shoes for you (if you buy your own). They are professional and helpful. I've tried multiple cycle classes and this is way better than even Soul Cycle (which I love, but at $30/class...no way). The music is fantastic and upbeat. Sometimes the instructors sing along and it's not annoying at all. They have so much energy that I'm not sure how they can teach and workout at the same time. It's flawless. I'm always dripping sweat in such a good way. The class flies by so fast you don't even know what hit you. I take the 45min class and the gritty quicky for 30min. That one kills me too. I am sore and I went 2 days ago. This studio is for all levels but I recommend taking a few cycle classes before hand to get used to the bike. If you don't then book a bike in the back of the room so people aren't looking at you to follow your lead with the moves. My girlfriend and I go to the Karma rides, which are charity fundraisers. They support the community and are just a fantastic company. Can't recommend them enough!!! read more

I have really enjoyed my time at GritCycle! It is a very uplifting, empowering, and fun experience! You barely feel like you're working out because it seems like a huge dance party. read more

Great motivators, fun class. Not the same each time so you can find your fit. Will be back whenever I'm in town!

I get excited to attend every class! I always leave feeling so good about my workout and myself. The energy levels are so high and Kelli always knows how to encourage you every step of the way. Grit has officially made me fall in love with spin class. read more

GRIT is the best spin studio I have been to. The teachers have great energy. The room is warm so everyone sweats a lot. The music is fun and 45 minutes later you can't believe your workout is done. I highly recommend GRIT. read more

Love this studio. It is a fresh breath of air as far as exercise studios go. Great space, energy and flow. The stadium seating is ideal too! Love the music and the instructors. read more

I am a newbie at Grit Cycle and I love the facility and have enjoyed and worked hard during all of my class. However yesterday was my first time with Raquel, and it was amazing! Just when I thought I couldn't go any further she would say ..(yell but in a good way!) something encouraging to keep me going! Not to mention the fun and perfectly synchronized music!!! I left feeling like I had been pushed a little and overjoyed that I submitted and did my best.. Thank you Raquel...! My only wish is that I could work out with you more often...get on the schedule more often girly!!!! read more

I have been going to Grit on and off for about 8 months or so- but it wasn't until Mike's class that I really got into it! I was in a car accident a couple years ago and broke my Neck and Back- so the past few years have been non-stop recovery (physical therapy, personal training, accupuncture, etc). I used to be an avid snowboarder and had not been back on snow since my accident- BUT then I started taking Mike's class 2x a week along with the rest of my therapies and I've gained the strength to get back snowboarding again! Grit has introduced to me to an entire new fun, low-impact way of working out and I owe a huge thank you to Mike for his challenging classes with rad music that motivates me enough to keep pushing through. I recommend trying as many instructors until you find a class you like, they are all different- Kaitlin's class is also super fun :) Also, towels at the end are on point- Thank you GRIT! read more

GritCycle is the best spinning studio in Costa Mesa!

I've tried probably every cycling studio in the Costa Mesa / Newport Area (and surrounding!) and Grit is truly special. The energy is awesome - not too "rah rah rah!" (some studios make you feel like you're a cheerleader lol) and the workout is consistently great. Definitely one of my go-to's when I'm looking for a guaranteed sweat. read more

Everything and everyone at GRIT works for me. The amazing nearly aerodynamic bikes do the work for me without any joint pain. It is all about the experience, staff, music, work out , push ups, herb scented towels in a dark and supercool environment. Love !!! read more

I love this place but, Girl with tons of tattoos plays bad music!! Love when they give you the eucalyptus scented towns at the end and that they give you shoes for free!! read more

Soooo much fun!! Hard ride, great atmosphere and really motivating. I will definitely be returning to Grit! They also have great merchandise too :) read more

Greatest workout ever, awesome community environment, and outstanding instructors!!! Try it, you don't know what you're missing.

The best cycling studio and instructors in Orange County! Very clean studio and top of the line bikes. Baskets of fruit for you to pick from and cold filtered water for you to fill up your water bottle. Towels are provided too! Shoes are available to rent... Basically you can get to Grit and have forgotten almost everything and still ride! No excuses : ) I love that about them I go to Grit 5-6 times a week. I've taken almost every instructors class. They are all amazing. Best music and best energy! Hands down the best workout. Weights are used during class too. It's a full body workout! I love this studio and all the people that fill it! read more

Love riding at Grit every time visit Newport!!! Such good instructors and beautiful facilities. If you love to spin you gotta check it out

I've been wanting to try a cycle class and finally glad I did! It's not like your typical cycle class, I knew it would be a different but didn't really know what was in store. Don't be scared just give in and go with haha. Fun music, cool mood lighting, and dancing on the bike. You use your abs a lot to crunch, tap back, figure 8. There is light weights used near the end. If it's your first time pick where you can see the instructor that helps me a lot. I have taken a few classes now and dragged two friends with me and both friends loved it. Super cute and Clean area and towels provided. Parking isn't an issue if their lot is full go find some street parking. read more

I can't say enough great things about this place! I loved the class (Katie the instructor was awesome), and the energy was so fun. The class is tough, but so worth it!! read more

This place is great!! I had never tried cycling before and they were very welcoming and helpful to make sure I was comfortable. All instructors are very nice and it is overall a great atmosphere read more

This is such an awesome workout. It's so easy to sign up for a class. The front desk staff is great. The modern and clean ambiance are nice change from some older studios. They play great energizing music and the instructors are super motivating. End the ride with an eucalyptus towel and relax outside. Very addicting! read more

GRIT cycle is not only beautiful and state of the art, but the instructors love being there and it shows. Classes are energetic, upbeat and challenging. A great place not only to get a good workout , but also to get energized by the positive vibe , superior sound system and to see smiling, friendly faces . Your first spin class is free read more

Love this place! Best workout I've had in a long time

Love the energy of the class. Instructors are all great and I always leave feeling completely accomplished!

I just took my first class today and all I have to is WOW! From the minute I entered the place, they had all my bio set up and release waiver to sign. I love that I was greeted with a smile and given a full presentation of the bike, facility and shoes to use. I was introduced to Marisa, who was so extremely nice, encouraging and motivating. The workout was AMAZING and the music was awesome! I felt like the class went so fast and was wanting more! I can't wait to take my next class. Grit definitely has the WOW factor!!! Thank you for making my first experience the best one yet! read more

This place is absolutely amazing. I wish I lived closer because it is addicting. I took Dani's class..she gets the whole room super pumped up with her loud music and vibrant energy. You will def get a workout like no other in a mere 45 mins. Some extra added perks: clean studio, fully stocked bathrooms, free cycle shoes/lockers, cold eucalyptus towels for the end of class, and a cute little fruit basket to grab something healthy to refuel! Oh and they sell teeki pants!! read more

I absolutely love this studio!!!!!! Wouldn't compare it to any other. The music is great, the bikes are awesome and the instructors are amazing. It's hard to get into Matt's classes so sign up early but it's well worth it!! read more

I am obsessed with spin and this spin studio just ruined all other spin studios for me. I'm devoted to Soul Cycle and have also done Flywheel, Peloton, Yas, and Monster. This studio in Costa Mesa is the best studio I've been to on both coasts. The facilities are amazing, the studio doors open to outside and is gorgeous. The class is challenging with lots of moves on the bikes and they emphasize being on rhythm. This studio almost makes me want to move to California from NY so I can go here regularly. read more

Absolutely love this place! I've never taken spin before and was excited when Soul Cycle opened in Newport. But then a friend recommended Grit and thank god because I am hooked! My schedule is always up in the air so I've never been able to commit to a regular class I go to, but that allows me to take classes with a lot of different instructors and they are all awesome! After every class I feel like I got a great workout. The studio itself is very trendy and the front desk staff is always very helpful! Their package pricing is very reasonable too. I definitely recommend Grit Cycle, I always look forward to working out here! read more

I just took my first class at Grit recently. I have tried soul cycle, yas, full psyche, etc. This is by far the best. It is like soul cycle in that it is not an intimidating atmosphere, yet is the best workout ever. The instructor's playlist in class was great and I just felt really good afterwards. The thing that sets grit apart is its local status. It's not a huge chain and since its just a nice private owned spin place, it feels more welcoming! I can't recommend it enough. In regards to the actual class routine, it's very challenging but the instructors emphasize going at your own pace which is great as to avoid injury and of course, everyone is on their own level. Bring a big water. A nice thing is that they have shoes for you to borrow (don't forget socks!) and a towel, along with a refreshing eucalyptus towel afterwards-- it's heavenly. read more

This is my happy place. Hard to believe but I look forward to my workouts unlike any other place I've been. Great energy, amazing instructor - especially Marisa and have met some special people on this journey. I feel better than I did 10 years ago. Keep spinning! read more

Would highly recommend you check it out for yourself! You won't be disappointed if you're looking for a fun place to work out! read more

The studio has amazing energy and instructors are very motivational. Love going to this studio a few times a week!

I love Grit Cycle. My step kids and I took a class and they got their butts kicked, but we all had a blast. Everyone is always super friendly when we come and very helpful. Marisa teaches a great class and kept checking on the kids to make sure they were hanging in ok. It's a very good energy with a fantastic culture. read more
