Quality and speed has gone downhill with new ownership. Used to be my goto craving. Now, meh.

I went in Grind Burger noon yesterday was enjoying my burger was then swarmed by 15 school kids that brought there own food into the restaurant and sat down eating food that wasn't purchased at Grind Burger. Kids were so disrespectful and rude. Rule should be if you don't buy anything you shouldn't sit down in this place it looked like a school cafeteria I can't believe the employee let them then do that . Customers that purchased food can't even sit down and eat their meal . Catering to this awful crowd is so bad for your business ruined my experience I just moved to Georgetown I have thousands of clients that I was going to refer this has to stop. How you let people bring their own pizza slices in a place that doesn't even sell pizza is crazy !! being loud and not even buying anything it makes no sense owner needs to put a sign on the front door 10 mins into the rest have to buy to eat at a table wake up Grind Burger plz . read more

More of a 2.5 but I rounded up. I was told there might be new owners since all these rave reviews and that's probably why I wasn't as impressed. Bf and I were in Georgetown on Friday evening and wanted a quick dinner. Grind Hamburgers has been on my radar for awhile so I thought, what a perfect opportunity. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich, while my bf just got a regular hamburger. It took about 10 mins for our order to be ready. You can choose whatever toppings you want in your burger. I got 2 pickles, lettuce, tomatoes and some chipotle sauce. I'll get straight to it, it was not that great. In fact, the chicken was pretty small and flat, as you can see from my pics. It was really just meh. But at least it was juicy and not dry at all. I asked my bf what he thought of the burger and he felt the same, like a 3/5. We weren't blown away. I don't think I'd come back but if I HAD to eat here again, I'd probably try the steak sandwich instead. read more

After half the world has been loving their food decided to give it a try Have already tried their burger and fries which were excellent The fries are a huge helping nice and crisp This time I tried their poutine It was a actually the best poutine Which was a huge helping of fries with an overload of cheese curd and gravy This was so awesome and cheesy as had asked them to add extra cheese The employees there are good with a great attitude During this pandemic times don't expect perfection from all restaurants but this one always surpasses all expectations I really wish they would open more outlets out of Georgetown too as with their quality and unique taste they are definitely gonna be a hit A strong recommendation for this one read more

I've just visited once to date. When I came I ordered their steak sandwich and based on the value of it I'll give the full 5 stars. It was ultimately quite simple. It was a good-size piece steak made to order and cooked on a gas grill. It was on a nice buttered bun and I opted simply for grilled onions and A1 sauce on it. I obviously didn't expect high-end steak but it still went above my expectations. It wasn't chewy and had great flavour and tenderness to it, even in spite of being a lower-grade steak. Not much else to say, but if you serve up a good quality, freshly made, tasty steak sandwich at a good price then you deserve 5 in my books. Great burgers! Service is friendly and prices are reasonable for how much you get. It's often busy, but the line moves pretty quickly. Grind serves a 6 oz. patty topped how you like it. I like to add an egg and bacon to my burger as add-ons. Buns are very good, I believe they're brioche from Ace Bakery. They also are happy to do keto-friendly meals, I'd get my burger without a bun and load up on toppings. My go-to for a quick lunch. read more

The burger and fries were good. The customer service was the worst I've ever experienced. The guy was very short, and unpleasant right off the bat. I ordered, with a tip (even though it's takeout) and figured the attitude might change but it got worse to the point where he threw out insults. Totally unacceptable. read more

Although I really enjoyed the meal, I however did not enjoy being charged 30% tip. I had placed a rather large order for my six person family. I said I would be paying with credit card. I was handed the pay device with the tap screen already cued up. As I tapped my credit card I glanced down and read the total price and saw a 30% tip had been added to the total. I immediately said "Wait a minute. Why is it $69 when the total was $53?" to which the lady operating the cash register said "it was an automatic tip". Do you tip 30% for a fast food service? It's a great burger, but not worth a 30% tip. Are customers not supposed to use their own discretion if they want to leave a tip? The lady acted very quickly to refund me the money, but why was I handed a pay device with the tip added. The total amount displayed on the cash register and the amount on the pay device screen were completely different. What if I had not looked at the tap screen too closely, and just paid and walked away? How many people just tap and walk away? Is this how they operate their business, by adding large tips to orders without informing the customer? Beware of what you are paying at Grind Burger. The total on the cash register might not be what you are actually paying if you are using credit or debit. You might be paying an "Automatic Tip". read more

This place got a bump for myself being bias towards hamburgers being destined to be without filler--straight beef on the grill. They do rep that approach in their branding as well. Noticed the cook putting the patties directly in the line of fire, thought that was odd. Tasted fire in the burger, odd as well. read more

Stay away, the cooks are not sanitary, and the service is the worst I have ever seen... anywhere. Many people I know in the area will never return. The management needs an overhaul. read more

When this restaurant was first opened it was amazing!! I was a regular customer coming here almost every 2 weeks. I just got my order of banquet burger and fries. And let me say this is the most disappointing burger I've had in a long time. It was DRY and not very warm has almost no flavour. When normally this burger from here is so juicy and flavourful. It's almost messy cause it's normally so juicy. But today it was not great and the fries are normally super good and crispy but today they were cold and soft and on the cold side. I feel like there's a lot of newer staff that aren't doing the same standards as the owner/ previous staff and its disappointing. It's a more expensive burger but again normally worth it ! But just not great this time.. one bite in my partner and I knew something wasn't right tasting. read more

Portions are decent. Only problem is the burgers are drenched in oil. Too bad it's not flame grilled the way it's supposed to be. His X-partner around the corner at Mega Burger does the burgers grilled, but never cleans the grates and never changes the oil in the deep fryer. Both places are grease spoons, take your pick. read more

Tried this place for the first time the other day and absolutely loved it. The banquet burger was so fresh and delicious!! I got it as a combo and also got a chocolate milkshake which was equally as delicious. I couldn't even make a dent in my fries because I was so stuffed! Went this past weekend for the first time, well I'm so delighted with this burger, and have to say it's the best I had in a long time. The beef was outstanding. The ownership changed during these COVID times but they new owners have not messed with success. I usually get the cheese burger with an extra patty with no condiments I love the taste of their beef. The patty is always done to perfection with great browning from the flat top. this the only hamburger I will eat with no condiments. Fries and onion rings are good This is a hamburger you dream about and never get not even in expensive restaurants or other burger joints that use fresh meat but for some reason their burger meat is not that tasty The steak sandwich is very good, steak is tender and very very tasty. So after moving to Georgetown this summer, we noticed this new burger joint open so of course we had to try it. I'm pretty picky when it comes to burger meat, fries and gravy and let me tell you they are on point!!! Everything is made fresh in front of your eyes. I was even able to chat with the owners dad, who works and helps out at the fry station. You can tell their passion for what they do and they really do it well. Definitely go there and have a burger and poutine and you won't regret it!! Only sad thing is they close at 9pm... but so does everyone else in Georgetown :). Grind hamburgers is a great local burger option! While it is a bit pricey, the quality is good and it is consistent. The burgers are way better than any other option in town, and if inhale to compare, I'd say it has a similar flavour profile to a five guys burger. My go to is actually the crispy chicken sandwich (although the grilled chicken is also fantastic) or the regular burger. The fries and onion rings are pretty standard for a place like this but still tasty if you want to complete you meal. read more
