Best coffee bar in vero. Hubby and I have made several trips to this adorable spot. All of the coffee is amazing and just what we needed for our caffeine fix! The Grind and Grape is a coffeehouse during the day and a wine bar at night, hence the clever name. If it were in New York, I would give it a three star rating, but since this is Vero Beach and there isn't a whole lot going on in the jazz and live music scene, it gets an extra star just for being here! It's a great place to go in the evening for a glass of wine, listen to some decent music and relax with friends. Service outside on the patio is impossibly slow and spotty, but you take the bad with the good. Beyond drinking and listening to music there's not much else in my view. I continue to go once or twice a week so that should tell you something, and I'm glad it's here. read more

This place was a short walk from my hotel and it was a different atmosphere than most places in the area. It's a very modern with a nice, clean setup. They have a good selection of beer and wine as well as some other top shelf liquor. The menu looked good and featured some craft dishes and higher end finger food. We did not try any food as we had a drink and bounced around a few other places. The two servers working were very nice and were efficient. They had live music and dancing going on which was very loud for a small venue. That was the main downfall for me. I would of came back a few other nights, I'm just not a fan when I have to talk extremely loud to someone right next to me. read more

I work very close to the restaurant I usually come in for a cup of coffee, very affordable might I say and I just sit inside where it's very comfortable and welcoming , they have couches and lounge seats inside and outside the restaurant and always are playing some good music . Yum! I love their coffee, and they have such an impressive selection of Monin syrups if you're the type who likes a flavored latte. My husband tried an orange blossom macaron and was very impressed by the delicate but delicious flavor. I saw they had several other baked goods, but nothing vegan from what I could tell, so I can't personally comment on those. I'm dairy-free, so I was pleased that they offered soy AND almond milk alternatives. Sure, it's becoming more common to carry almond milk in coffee shops but I never take that option for granted! Service was nice and they have a gorgeous location...one day we will come back for the evening to sample the wine offerings- and check out the live music. I am shocked that this place only has 3 stars. I love it here! I came here almost weekly. I am in love with the atmosphere. Outside is beautiful and they have live music every night. The inside is just as beautiful and they have an excellent speaker system so no matter where the band plays you can hear it. I also really enjoy their menu. The wine is reasonably priced as well as the delicious and creative cocktails. The food is great as well. I only came once during the day because I'm not a coffee drinker but I did enjoy a cappuccino with a splash of Kahlua. The staff has always been great as well. There was only a few times they were kind of pushing us out the door but it was past 11 on a weekday and we were the only ones there so I'm understanding. read more

Even before I moved to vero beach I used to come to town from an hour south to listen to live music and taken in the ambience of grind and grape. Always found it to be welcoming and would meet interesting and friendly folks. I appreciate being able to stop by late and enjoy a late bite to eat. Late night food is a rarity in small town Florida. Highly recommend coming for a night cap glass of wine (wonderful collection of wine and spirits) and a snack of flatbread (roasted goat and margarita are my favs but they are all great). read more

Stopped in on a lark during one of our multi-annual Vero Beach excursions...we stay at Costa d'Este basically across the street and have been coming to Vero for years. Server/bartenders were nice enough, but seemed confused at our presence. Spent a lot of energy having personal chats w/folks at the bar that appeared to either be friends or from another bar/restaurant. Not a big deal, we get it. Ran through several drink options, out of this, out of that...ok ok ok we're easy. Ended up with some rosé which was hilariously overpriced but we were (at this point) thinking 'what the hell we're in Vero'. Ok, food. We like to do 'small plates' if we try a new place...same routine as drinks - nope we're out, yeah that's not supposed to be on the menu, etc. Finally settled on mussels that were supposed to be 'smothered' in a lemon garlic or some kind of buttery sauce (as mussels are)...after a laughably long wait (no one else in the place) they came out and - this is a first - they were completely DRY. No sauce of any kind. I really think they were out and ran to Publix and then microwaved them. I don't think the cook who was there knew how to prepare them. We were stunned, and NEVER send anything back and by this time were starving so we just cut out losses, ate em and got out of there. I'd probably give them another shot, but this was a terrible first impression. read more

When I called back, the server made up a lie about the chef changing the menu which was obviously not true, she just messed up the order and didn't want to fix it. We hosted the welcome party for our wedding weekend here and got nothing short of a 5 star experience. Planning the event with the owner was easy, service was great and live music set a really nice vibe. Our friends and family loved the atmosphere and we couldn't have asked for a more hospitable way to start off such a big occasion. Will be back for sure! read more

I go there personally on time off and also the company I work for, Riverside Theatre, uses Grind and Grape frequently for Opening Night parties. I read through the reviews first before writing my own and have visited the G & G many times. I couldn't help but notice that the two star reviews are written by whining babies, people who just don't get it and probably never will. G & G is not without its faults, I grant the whining babies that, but it has a great vibe especially on Tuesday night Blues Night. Sure, service could improve, so what. What place has everything perfect. The only complaint I can legitimately make is it's too bad there isn't a way for Yelp to screen out all the whining, judgmental, quick-to-criticize, pansies that can't lighten up a bit. By the way, I don't work there or know anyone there or have any affiliation in any way. We had the after-party for our wedding reception here, and loved! Barbara, the owner, was super accommodating and had the outdoor bar area all ready for us when we arrived. Such a disappointing experience. Although we began the night having a great time on the dance floor with Terri Kay, the bartenders ruined the experience. One clearly drunk bartender called a member of my group a "whore" for no apparent reason, and when she stood up for herself, bouncers immediately kicked her out. Upon review of the night, the rude bartenders had also overcharged our bills while continuing to dodge our calls the next day to view the receipts. Vero Beach is a great city, if you want a good time, I suggest you go to Waldo's across the street. read more

Cool local spot to check out...definitely a huge amount of outdoor seating. Cafe during the day, chill/laid back bar at night. I went on a Tuesday night, and they had a band playing....seemed like everyone was into it. It got a little loud after awhile, so we decided to hang outside which made it easy. Love places where you can move around if needed and not stuck in one spot. I'd say the bartenders were not so friendly, and after ordering our drinks...we were never approached after that if we needed anything. The atmosphere, seating and the drink selection is great. I'm not on vacation here but it seemed like most of the people in the place were. We passed this place earlier today and were drawn in by the live music. Returned for dinner tonight. Live music continued until 8 (on Sunday). We went two consecutive nights of our 4 day stay near Vero if that tells you anything! The hummus plate was good - never thought to put capers in my hummus but will from now on! The other ladies raved about the fish dip and wanted to order another plate (I don't eat meat so I can't speak for it). We also got chocolate cake, bread pudding, cheesecake, French press for 4 and they were all top notch. No decaf for French press but if they grind the beans on site I'm not sure why that wasn't possible...We loved the atmosphere, the bands, the crowd and the waitresses. This place gets very busy on the weekends so don't expect to see waitresses at your table every 5 minutes. The only thing I wish was different was putting a pitcher of water on the table so we didn't have to wait for that. read more

This is the first time I'm actually providing a review on a business on yelp but felt compelled to do so. I have recently moved to Vero beach and thought that the business concept of serving coffee in the morning, as well as alcoholic beverages with live music in the evenings, was really good; so I decided to give it a try. My experience though was not very good and I have decided not to patronize this business any longer. I entered the business one morning to find that they were not enforcing patrons wearing masks. That fact did not bother me that much though as that is fairly common in Florida unfortunately. My issue was with the fact that even though they were not enforcing masks, The barista that morning felt compelled to yell at me In front of my family and other customers for touching what looked like a self-serve beverage refrigerator. I couldn't understand why she reacted in that manner since this establishment clearly was not enforcing the core Covid guideline of mask wearing? She proceeded to be very dramatic and started immediately wiping down the outside of the beverage refrigerator and the beverages inside that I may have touched; All the while as most of their customers were walking around inside without masks. I can only think that this was some misguided instruction provided To its employees by the owner of this business: That patrons can spread the virus more easily through touching surfaces then they would by not wearing masks. read more
