I have been here a few times, but I don't know why I go back. I have never been at nighttime, only during morning hours for coffee. Every time I drive to the beach to visit Grind + Grape I'm disappointed. When I first walk in, it seems like the employees hate being there and that you're a bother. Then I order coffee and they are aways out of almond milk. Every. Time. They have no vegan options, and the one time I asked she didn't know if they did or not. I would honestly give this a 0 star review if I could, what was supposed to be a good night listening to live music playing turned to the worst, I used to love coming here up until last night, I will never come back here again. this place scammed me and took my money - I only bought one drink from here, I was completely sober.. they charged me 57.79$ when the drink was 7.79$, they kept saying it was an "honest mistake" but I watched them find my receipt where it was hidden and not in the cup where are the receipts are supposed to be. We stopped by for brunch. There were two tables there when we arrived that had already been served. We ordered two breakfast flat breads and some hashbrowns. It took like 20 minutes for the flat breads to arrive and then almost half hour later for the hashbrowns to show up. On top of that, the food wasn't anything impressive. Appetizer portions of what seemed to be microwaved.... Then the wait. Again, it wasn't busy at all... Our meal that also included two coffees and a mimosa came to $59. I was in Vero Beach for a week with friends. Grind and Grape was my morning go-to for coffee and to do some work on my laptop (they have free wifi). The coffee is good and the service is great. It quickly became apparent that the locals think so , too. Lots of regulars greeted by name as they came in. Some linger, some take their coffee and go. In the evenings, Grind and Grape serves wine and beer, too, and usually have live music around 7:30/8pm. I highly recommend making Grind and Grape your go-to when visiting or staying in Vero Beach. read more

My friends & I stopped in for some macaroons, coffee, and gelato. The interior is reminiscent of cafes in Harvard Square, but the sunny outdoor seating and live music gave it that extra twist of beach town charm. It was suuuper busy for an off season Sunday at around 5, but we luckily managed to find a good place to sit, though many people were standing. I took off a star for service - while we weren't too demanding and the guy who helped us was friendly & patient while we sampled gelato flavors, we did have to wait a few minutes at the beginning to even get serviced, and then when we sat down the previous patrons' bill and glasses were left uncollected for the entirety of time we were there. read more

I really want to like this place, I keep coming back thinking it will be better--but never is. For trying to be a coffee spot, their coffee is unfortunately terrible..it's like no one knows how to make a drink. Their iced mochas always taste like chocolate milk, no sign of espresso whatsoever. I cannot quite figure how they stay open. Went for morning coffee and it was virtually empty yet service was nonexistent. Slow. Only 2 items for breakfast. We went there on a Sunday evening, 5 of us, having wine and we also shared a large cheese tray. It was nothing short of great. Why did I give it a 4 star instead of a 5 you may ask. Well, in my later years, I prefer a little more sedated place. This place was really hot, and beyond my pace. My granddaughter ate it up, as did the daughter, son-in-law, and my wife. The wines were excellent, but the cheese tray was unbelievable. The band really hit it well (too well for the old man). I would give this place an absolute zero if it would let me! Been there several times and kept a positive outlook each time hoping it would have change. The service is amateur and the management is clearly untrained and lazy. The food was sub par at best. The coffee shop side of it was excellent I must say. My band even setup four times the first time there and packed the place before we even started. After the fourth time after being asked to move our full sized band equipment and the extremely rude management who told us we were playing outside originally instead of inside. We packed our stuff and took the crowd for a night out due to the inconvenience. Regardless of the constant negative reviews this place lacks to learn from the customers. Clearly behind in the times and future image of their business. Stay far away there are much better establishments on beachside that this place could easily be forgotten about. read more

I'm giving 2 stars because it's a cute place and I liked the decor, but I really didn't care for the coffee here. I had a decaf, and it seemed weak and watery. My husband had a regular and his smelled much better. They need to work on the decaf a bit. read more

Great atmosphere, great live music, good drinks - HORRIBLE bar service. I went two nights in a row. On the Thursday night that I went, the bartender stopped in the middle of making my drinks to do anything else possible - he stopped to deliver pizzas to a table, he stopped to chat with his friends that were visiting the bar, he stopped to pour other customers drinks, it was INSANE. Seriously the rudest thing I have ever witnessed. Then, the same thing happened Friday night. Hope to come back next year with a tightened up staff! read more

My favorite late night spot on the beach hands down! Great drinks and great music. Also open during the day for coffee and lunch but I have yet to come in and try it. Good atmosphere and clientele. Sometimes that can be hard to find at the late night bars on the beach. Other spots can get a little trashy after a certain hour. read more

Super cute place! Great place to do homework in the day. The service isn't the best though, one women in particular didn't provide the best customer service though, she was kind of rude to my friend and I. She asked to see if they had any blueberry muffins so she went to check in the back but never gave us an answer so my friend had to ask again, also we weren't really sure what we wanted to drink and didn't offer any recommendations. Super watered down coffee--the tiniest touch of cream whites out the entire serving...not a good sign! This place has a terrific location and great outdoor patio area. We met some local friends there for a lite dinner ans wanted to sit outside. There are several cozy nooks with rattan couches. But the cushions are disgusting, dirty , worn out and very uncomfortable. They need to be replaced like months ago. The paper menus were also tattered and dirty. I ordered a got cheese and red pepper flat bread that was really misadvertised. It had a lot of bland cheese and a few bits of goat and peppers. Very disappointing and it took forever to arrive. Flatbread should not take long! While I think the major appeal of this place is the evening and brunch live music with a little effort and expense it could be so much better. read more

The coffee was decent, atmosphere is extremely loud, and they charged $300 to my card for a $3 coffee. I get it. Mistakes happen. They must have punched in 300 instead of 3.00. It's an honest mistake. I went back to G+G, they were extremely apologetic, and refunded me "301.50 so you only paid $1.50 for the coffee"... they didn't offer me a free coffee, or a baked good, or even a voucher coupon for my next visit. I was happy it was taken care of, but I also couldn't buy anything for 48 hours because of THEIR mistake. I honestly don't want to go back there, and if I do, cash only. When you're a high school student, you typically don't have $300 in your account... when I overdraw on my card, I get a fee. It was a nightmare experience. read more

Heard the music and we were enticed to stop in. What a mistake. The friendly staff had no idea where to find the wine we requested. After much confusion my wife received her glass and proceeded to the patio where she waited for more than 15 minutes for me to return with an unbelievable story about trying to find my wine selection and then the fiasco with payment. Finally! A good spot for coffee on the beach. I recently stopped by Grind + Grape after walking Ocean Drive and the Farmer's Market. I love checking out local coffee shops and have become quite spoiled living in Fort Lauderdale. Vero has been in dire need for a place that offers a wide selection of hand crafted coffee drinks - nothing here is premade or premixed. I ordered an iced caramel latte, and loved it. My barista was sweet and knew what she was doing. Reasonably priced, and like knowing I am supporting local business. Also, the interior is adorable. A bit industrial with tons of comfortable seating with inside and outside. The muffins looked great, can't wait to return regularly! read more

My husband and I stopped in as we were looking for a wine bar that served a cheese board and this delivered. Our first glass of Conundrum was priced accordingly and a nice pour. The cheeseboard had three different types of cheese, nice portion size, along with crostinis, toasted walnuts, fig jam. We ended up taking some home! The Landsharks were the live band that night and a great choice for a July summer evening at the beach. The place has nice décor and ample outdoor seating. The crowd was 'interesting' but enthusiastic with their dancing. I would return to have a glass of wine, bite of cheese and listen to a live band. read more

I don't get the reviews of this place. If you are expecting great food it's probably deserved but if you are looking for a place to grab a drink (alcoholic or coffee) and listen to live music, it's actually great. It does seem like the place has identity crisis, however, and they should either go for drinks and music or beef up their food quality and servings. The ambiance is mixed - a pleasant setting but the seating is really lacking, chairs broken, uncomfortable. Ordered the cheese and charcuterie plate - when it finally came (ah hem, long wait), it was a clumsy presentation. The food itself was okay. We found out about this place from the Saturday Marketplace people....so we went to check it out on Sat., Feb 13, 2016. The band playing that night was Hot Pink, guys from Merritt Island area. The entertainment was awesome, staff so friendly and had a fabulous evening. It was so much fun, we actually stayed until it closed. The owners were so kind and happy we enjoyed ourselves. We helped the staff to decorate for Valentine's Day. We went back on Sunday, and there were 2 different jazz bands playing noon- 5:00, and 6:00-10:00. We had breakfast / brunch there....and came back for dinner that night!!! read more

So we stumbled on to place as we were walking looking for something to do. The music is what caught our attention. Come to discover it's a young group of musicians and singer, so we decided to give it a try. We attempted to find a hostess or waitress and had no luck so we grabbed a table outside far enough to not have the sound blaring in our ears, it was a bit louder than I would have recommended. So after sitting for a while (15 minutes) I got up to try get some service, in the process figured out it was easier to get everything myself, so we wanted to do desert and drinks. I ordered ice cream and cookie which can in a small plastic bowl that barely fit one scoop of ice cream $7, and came with cheesy plastic spoon that come with the old Italian ices I used to get as an a kid from the bodegas. I was told that I had to pay at for desert and coffee to one person and bar items at the bar. If I had ordered food from the kitchen would I have to a third person?? Round two the drinks: So I was foolish enough to think that since I was willing to wait my own table that I would be able to get our drinks too. I did and waited at the bar trying to get service, 5 minutes roughly to get my order in, and then another 8 minutes for the bar tender to make our 2 cocktails. As he made our drinks he kept stoping to talk or chat, then he would snip the metal tins shakers each time, to figure out which was which, to this was annoying and disturbing, this happened at least 3 times. Unfortunately by the time I got back to my table with the drinks my ice cream was mostly melted , so I tried to drink it with my flat Italian icee spoon, LOL. 2 beers and a shot later, I paid my $60 drink tab, and we were off. So sad this place has so much potential but definitely need a better service management system presence and either lower pricing or higher level of service and decor to match the current price point. I could go to NYC and get better service and lower price point, and so have to wait my own table. I must say there waitress, was nice but overwhelmed. Icing on the cake was as we were leaving we encounter the police ID'ing a patron, I'm glad we left when we did. Such a shame, hopefully this establishment will get its act together, this place could truly by a gem, but not with out some serious changes. read more

I've been here multiple times, and have always had good service. I come for the live music (which is every evening), great outdoor patio, and happy hour specials. I've had a few desserts and the flat bread, all of which were pretty good. Haven't had the coffee, so can't comment on that. Definitely surprised at some of the negative reviews, but most are old, so maybe they've gotten their act together. read more

I have been here maybe a dozen times and each time I wonder why I ever come back. Yes, they have a great atmosphere but the service is very slow unless you are friends with the bar tender. This place has so much potential but it is a hot mess. Please hire some servers who are attentive. It takes 20 minutes to get served and any time you want to get a refill you have to go to the bar. The server apologizes and says they can't afford to have another server hired. In reality if there were another server many people would reorder beverages. We go there quite often but can only stand to have one drink because we grow tired of the service. You are missing the boat here people! read more
