Happy hour hummus
Julie S.

I grabbed myself some "girl dinner" while here and took advantage of the happy hour food. I was a big fan of the truffle fries and hummus plate. I also ordered a side of the crispy Brussels sprouts, which were odd. It tasted like kettle corn, but not in a good way. The waiter was kind enough to offer some aioli which helped balance out the flavors. I would not get them again and I love Brussels sprouts. The restaurant is a bit dark, but that's fine if you just want to relax after a long day of traveling.

Inside the Westin. Had a drink because I got a card for food and beverage. Service was good and quick. Cute little restaurant. But only had a drink.

Meats breakfast buffet
Bee W.

Breakfast is an expensive affair here. Not sure what other hotels charge but I'm sure they're comparable. It's $38 per person for the buffet or you can go Ala carte. We chose the Ala carte as we weren't super hungry and I'm always suspect of the eggs at a buffet. Are they powdered eggs or the real ones? I went with the organic eggs. Over easy with white toast and bacon. He went with the omelet. The breakfast was average. Nothing is rave about but not bad. The potatoes are wedges and didn't taste like frozen. Bacon well fried but not over cooked. Eggs were eggs. Nothing special being organic. They do charge for everything - coffee, juice.. stayed with water. Restaurant well lit and appeared clean. The buss person was nice and came by when we sat down to offer beverages. Server Rez was professional and nice enough to assist. Except for the cost I'd eat breakfast here again.

The ambiance is charming, but the experience lacked cohesion. A lengthy wait to order, a wobbly table, and service that felt unsure set the tone. Unfortunately, the food arrived cold, which was especially disappointing given the setting. Attention to service details and timing would greatly elevate the experience.

Fish & Fritto Misto ($27) - 3 stars. Fine, not spectacular, not bad. All around fine. Sat lunch 2024-03-09

Very nice staff, decent food. About what you'd expect from a hotel restaurant! THE WAIT No wait on a Saturday around noon for 7 of us. FAMILY FRIENDLY They have kids menus and coloring sheets, but they didn't have crayons. The staff dug around and found a pack of brand new crayola markers for the kids! The server recognized our friends who were staying at the hotel for a couple days (she had given them free dessert last time) and were really sweet to us. THE COST $198 total including tax/tip for 3 adult entrees, 3 kid meals, and 3 beers. THE FOOD * Wagyu Burger ($26) - 3 stars Pretty uninspired but not terrible. * Fish & Fritto Misto ($27) - 3 stars Fine, not spectacular, not bad. All around fine.

New York steak, creamed potatoes, Brussel sprouts, bread with butter, and house red wine

Overall, for the prices of the food there, I wouldn't say it's worth it. Thankfully I had some vouchers for breakfast (otherwise it's like $40 for the buffet). The food was ok overall for breakfast. Good selection of items and the staff are very on top of things with refills and checking in on you. Went there for dinner and I was underwhelmed. Ordered the New York steak and asked for it to be medium rare but it came out more medium to done. The creamed potatoes tasted like box potatoes, not the best version. The Brussel sprouts were not good at all. The house red wasn't terrible though. Server was very nice. I probably would not go back unless it was with a free voucher and I didn't have an option to go somewhere else.

Grilled chicken pesto sandwhich and burger
Amy M.

Great service, good food. My grilled chicken pesto sandwich was great and I'm glad they had gluten free bread option which tasted pretty good! Friendly staff as well!

Avocado toast with fresh fruit was absolutely delicious. $18 for a fresh, healthy breakfast. Staff was friendly. Highly recommend for breakfast if you're staying at the hotel.

A fantastic Cobb Salad!
Myrnelle G.

My absolute favorite Cobb Salad. Loved every minute of this nostalgic visit. 'Nuff said.

Seafood linguini
Kari H.

I liked my seafood linguini meal, it was hot and had a delicious taste but they got 2 out of 3 meals slightly wrong with my table. Details matter and they tried to fix it but couldn't quite get the other plates right. We were on a business trip and come here often, the service is nice just needs to be a bit more personable and more accurate with orders, not sure if it was the server or the kitchen The hotel is clean and the dining area and bar are pleasant.

NY steak
Shane R.

Stay away from the NY steak. Putting gravy on a steak should not be encouraged but I understand the attempt at tavern food. However, flavorless and cold gravy should be criminal. Steak was rubbery on its own and also lacked seasoning. Staff were friendly. Restaurant is lucky it has a captive and constantly rotating audience with nothing else close.

Bacon, onion, grilled cheese sandwich
Kathi S.

The ambiance was really nice. My waiter became crazy busy while I was there. However, he was very attentive and friendly and efficient. I ordered the overindulgent (my opinion only), bacon grilled cheese sourdough sandwich. It was amazing but, too much for me. The toast and crunch on the bread was perfect, the melted cheese was perfect. The flavors were fantastic!

The staff was friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, and the bartender a mean Old-Fashioned!

This time was a completely different experience. We had an amazing host, and everyone on the staff was so warm, friendly, and genuinely funny. It made our dinner feel so much more enjoyable. And the food was phenomenal. We remembered how much we loved the carpaccio from our last visit, so we ordered it again, and it absolutely lived up to our expectations. Five out of five. Everyone at the table loved it. For drinks, we had the Blood Orange Drop and the Passion Storm. Both were really good, and I especially loved the Passion Storm. The crab cake was probably the only miss for us. It wasn't terrible, but it just wasn't memorable enough for me to order again. Everything else was a hit: lamb shank, seafood linguini, seafood risotto, and cioppino. The portions were generous, and everyone enjoyed their meal so much that pretty much every plate was nearly cleaned. Even after all that food, the kiddos still had room for a sticky toffee pudding, which they also finished. For five people, the bill was a little over $300 before tip, coming in just under $400 with tip. For Broadway and the quality of the food and service, I thought that was pretty reasonable. We had such a nice evening this time around. Great food, great hospitality, and a really fun atmosphere. I'll definitely be back.

My friend ordered the root beer float with cold brew ice cubes. It was not super heavy, it mixed well, and somehow, the root beer tasted great with the subtle but noticeable coffee flavor. The shredded chicken and the broth were wonderful, I do wish it had less tortilla strips because they soaked up all the broth if left there for too long. I got the California bagel, which was also delicious. It was a little too much egg for my liking, but the bagel was only $12 which I think is decent for what I got. The Strawberry croissant was TO DIE FOR. I have never enjoyed a croissant as much as this one. Fresh strawberry cream inside, super fluffy and crispy croissant overall. LOVE! Not to mention the cafe is very chic, we sat at a table where we could maximize our sunlight exposure. The servers and cashiers were nice, welcoming, and helpful. So glad we came here!

My Italian ham Benedict had perfectly poached eggs with the prosciutto edges crisped that added great texture to the overall Benedict. My kid said the lemon/berry pancakes rivaled her favorite pancakes around the corner at Whisper - with the pancake being actually better than the others: fluffy insides with a tiny "crisp" to the outsides of the pancake. My youngest was so excited about the banana, hazelnut, Nutella pizza that she picked off half the toppings before I could snap a pic. And the breakfast burrito looked like any other good breakfast burrito - but the flavor mix was really tasty with the right amount of spice/kick! We didn't try any specialty coffee drinks, but the normal coffee was good and very strong. Overall - the experience has definitely landed Rise & Shine on our list of go-to brunch spots!

The train was coming every 20 minutes or so, and it was very loud. Nice char on the crust, and not super doughy. For our Margherita Pizza specifically, it was a bit soggy/ floppy making it really hard to grab and eat. Other than that, the flavor was there. Might have been a one time thing, but would recommend getting this well done just in case. Of the 3 we ordered, the Beef Back Rib Pizza was my favorite! Great combination of flavors that complemented each other. Mashed Potatoes: A little too dry for my liking. Would recommend adding some black pepper to it. Mac and Cheese: Definitely hit the spot! It was nice and creamy, would definitely order it again! Jalapeno Cornbread: An interesting combination that just wasn't for me. If I come back, I may try it again to see if it grows on me. It was also on the drier side. Arugula Salad: There was A LOT of Parmesan cheese in the salad. I like parmesan, but this was pretty overwhelming. Lemony Garlic Linguine with Prawns: One of the best sides that we got. Noodles had a good chew to them, with a nice zest from the lemons. Very flavorful!

I was craving a good burger and a milkshake and this place hit the spot!…read more Lots of spacious outdoor seating; it was a lovely warm evening so perfect for sitting outside. We were in and out of there in 30-40 minutes. Service was speedy and the food just as fast. The first thing that came out was the strawberry shake and oh my goodness it was one of the best shakes I've had in a long while. Refreshing and the right thickness. I downed half the glass in one slurp! I got the runaway freight because I love having mushrooms on my burgers. Added some thick bacon and asked for the tomatoes and lettuce to be included. Ended up being a juicy meal! My boyfriend got the outlaw which had the jalapeños. They cook the patties to your liking and burgers come with a side of fries or salad. The fries portion was generous. Some of them were crispy and some could've used more time in the fryer. 2 people, roughly $60. But all cravings met!

He sat us down pretty quickly which is good but, the restaurant wasn't busy either so of course but, we didn't even get a proper greeting and it was so bad that he didn't even give us his name to let us know who was serving us (standard). The food took a min to come but, no biggie. My biggest issue was the server overall, he kept missing in action and it was clear he didn't want to be there b/c the other diners weren't receiving the best service either and what's so disheartening is the fact that I am in the hospitality industry so I know ppl can have their days so I still always tip something and I still did but not as much as I usually do b/c he was just so bad. I didn't even get the impression that he was having a bad day, I got more of the impression that he just simply didn't wanna be there and our whole dining experience could've been an "email" pretty much. The food was okay but the service was just so so bad that I wanted the food to be excellent to make up for the customer service side of things especially w/ the slightly expensive menu w/ subpar food. I took a sip of a drink that I ordered and didn't like it and I let him know and he literally just stood there for 30sec w/ a blank stare and said "so what do you want me to do?" Like huh.. anyways after he came back to earth he tells me that I can't get a refund and I just said ok, I even apologized for not liking it b/c he made me feel bad for basically not liking it, like I somehow inconvenienced him so I'll just say the best part of the experience was "leaving".

So, coming here, first off, ALL the people who work here are wonderful. Very kind, professional, helpful and they act like they want to be here. I was helped quite a bit by Yesenia, and she was amazing, took great care of me! So kudos to management for what seems to be that, in turn, they take good care of their staff. It was a fairly long line to order and, at first, I sorta wished they had table service instead -- but it ended up moving fairly quickly and was very easy to order. They give you a number and you choose your own table, either inside or outside. On a Saturday morning, although it was busy, there were plenty of tables. My coffee came right away and it is good coffee. And I was told its Crepevine's own branded coffee, organic blend. My Thai crepe came not too long after. It usually comes with both peanut sauce and pesto. But I don't like pesto (and what does that have to do with Thai anyway?) so I asked for it to be prepared with just the peanut sauce. Unfortunately, that got lost and what I was served came with no sauces at all in the crepe. They were happy to take it back and have it re-done and it came out and a short time later with the peanut sauce inside ... and was nice and hot -- and delicious! The side salad that comes with the crepe usually has balsamic vinaigrette but I noticed that one of the menu items is a Thai Salad so, in keeping with the theme, I asked if they could put the dressing for that salad on my side salad and they said no problem, and it was very good -- a lemongrass dressing. The home potatoes were decent although I like mine well done with crispy edges, which these weren't, so I'd probably ask for that next time. And, btw, the value for the money is really good -- they give you A LOT of food! I actually couldn't finish everything on the plate. That all said, I don't think I'll come here on a regular basis, don't live nearby, but I'll definitely come back again, maybe when I have a guest in town -- it was a good meal at a good price and with excellent service and atmosphere, and the few minor problems I had were solved very quickly and efficiently, so 5 stars well deserved.
