As a first-time donor, I expected the process to take longer, which was understandable. But every visit after that should be quicker, smoother, and more efficient. Instead, the wait times are consistently extreme. I've only successfully donated twice because the other times I had to leave after waiting far too long. On one visit, I was 39th in line just to check in--that didn't even include waiting in the back to be called for a bed to actually donate. I'm currently sitting here again, waiting for hours, and watching staff casually chat instead of checking people in. There seems to be no urgency, no respect for donors' time, and no concern for the fact that people are stuck here wasting their day. This place tries to give off the appearance of being well-organized, but in reality, it's anything but. There is absolutely no reason regular donors should be waiting this long. The lack of efficiency is infuriating and makes me not want to return.

Other than that staff is okay and you get your money when you do this part. When you do visit hopefully you see a security guard that looks like actor Mario Lopez from saved by the Bell and Pacific blue. Unfortunately I couldn't get a good picture of him. I did have trouble making an appointment online, but called and got one scheduled however they also take walk ins. Checkin is self initiated, with lots of sanitizer available, and then a series of tables and chairs to wait at. Right now with the need for blood, it was definitely busy but the staff was very apologetic and continued servicing each donar with speed. I've given blood many times with many centers and I was very impressed with their response when I passed out after donating casually eating my crackers. They swooped me up, got me in a wheel chair quickly with lots of ice packs and settled into a bed. Shout out to Denise who managed my vitals, got my head and lip checked out, then gave all the info to my husband to take me home after clearing it with the rest of the staff. They then called the next day to check on me. I felt really comfortable with this location and the staff that was working enough to go back. She let me know to tell them I had an incident before and they would take extra precautions. I'm happy I could give blood to support those who need it and have so many wonderful people and places to take on that job. Recommend this establishment.

I got in, got checked in right away- we went through all my medical history questions (after checking my blood to make sure my iron levels were high enough to donate) and everything else went incredibly smoothly. Everyone on the staff was informative, friendly and helpful. They said they're in the most need for red cells, so if you're getting that itch to do some good for the world, consider donating red cells -- though of course while blood, platelets and plasma are graciously accepted as well. They make sure you're ok after you donate by asking you to have a snack and wait a few minutes. Really, I felt like they did everything right. Donating full blood took me about 8 minutes. Hoping to go back in 8 weeks (the mandatory waiting period). And you should too.

I recently went back here as a new returning donor I give blood samples June 2 and donate June 5 so…read moremy next donation was June 9 they said I tested positive for HIV I said that's impossible if I don't have sex or didn't come in contact with anybody blood so I went that same day to the doctor and got negative results. So I went back to the center to talk to the manager and supervisor and they didn't want to take my proof that was negative. They didn't talk to me in private or anything. I saw with my own eyes they mishandling people blood because one of the workers throw the blood bowl in the garage and the manager was aware of this and just told him to get it out the garage. They also did my sister like this. Something should be done about those workers. I am gonna get that place investigated if that's the last thing I do cause you don't play with people life like that not to mention they laughed at me and wanted to talk to me in front of other people.
