Depends on how much water you drink and who sticks you, you should be through donating around 30-40minutes

I just got deferred because Ola didn't properly set the machine up and my blood went in the saline bag. She has a tendency to not focus and get distracted very easily. It didn't help the doctor with the beard was flirting with her about stickers and non work related stuff the entire time she was setting up/sticking me. This place is hugely unprofessional. They gossip more than they actual work and mistakes happen because of it. They didn't apologize or explain to me medically what happened. All they said was I can't come back for 56 days. Absolute worst experience ever! I went in on Saturday 7/23/22 around Noon and was told to come in the next day-for some reason they could not input new patients into system. (?) I went in the next day at 8am, and was told, by someone at the front desk doing absolutely NOTHING-that I had to wait 2 hours to get input into their system. This place is A JOKE. read more

Clean facility. Nice staff. Service is fairly quick, and the process to get started as a new donor is efficient. They don't keep you waiting all day. Lines aren't as long in the morning m/afternoon. I regret not coming here first before trying Octapharma 5 times. Come here, just a better experience overall. read more

This is my first time donating which was on 11/04, came back on 11/06 but I got denied but they said I have to come back on 11/07 because I had to wait 2 days in between? y'all must not know math that 4+2=6. The nurse (who was great but I don't remember her name unfortunately ) that took care of me the first day said the 6th is the earliest I could do and even the app says the same thing. Now if the staff I encountered on the 6th, would have explained that I needed to wait exactly 48 hours from when I finished instead of denying me for the whole day, I would been less mad. I had to figure that out myself unfortunately. I only realized that because I finished at 1pm but came in at 12:30pm. If only y'all told me to wait just a little more instead of turning me away for the whole day, I would not be making this comment. read more

I have been coming for about 3 months and I would like to say that I have a great experience here at the Melrose Park location the workers are very helpful and really want to help the donors. It's a couple things corporate should do immediately to all CSL facilities they need NEW equipment asap. The equipment is so old sometimes it work and other times it doesn't which make it a longer process for the donor and the worker. Also when doing the raffles make sure to let a donor pick the name in front of other donor so there won't be any questions about cheating! Keep smiling and always willing to help I could go to any Plasma facility, but I choose to come Melrose Park location because of the positive vibe. Other Plasma center pay WAY more than CSL trust I know! I truly think corporate need to give us more money so that your company can be competive with other Plasma locations or you will start losing donors!!! Take care! read more

Super long wait, dirty looking facility, disgusting catcalls from other donors to the point where I was uncomfortable/scared by their comments. They were LOUD while making comments and nothing was done. The whole process was 6-7 hours and only got $70. Not worth it. read more

I'm giving this place one star for one reason and one reason only: They do not disclose anywhere on the Web site that you cannot donate plasma if you have been pregnant in the last 6 months, nor do they disclose this in the book that they ask you to read when you come in as a first-time donor. There are all kinds of other seldom-heard-of disqualifying medical conditions listed, but not pregnancy. Do they think pregnancy is a rare and unheard of condition in women or something? Am I really the first-ever new mother who came in wanting to sell some plasma to make a quick buck because new babies are expensive? If those are the rules, those are the rules, but that should be disclosed up-front so that people do not waste their time coming in and waiting through the "first-time donor" procedures. I just wasted three hours of my morning driving out there and going through all of the first-time donor screening and consent procedures only to be told I could not donate because I had a baby 4.5 months ago. This place is sooooooooooooooooo slooooooooooooowwww!!!!! The line to get "checked" before you give your plasma is always long and slow. There are 6 cubicles, but never have more than one or 2 technicians working the cubicles. Makes you just want to leave every time! read more

kiosks do not work - there is 1 of 3 that work. not enough staff. they are not helpful and they talk loud enough to hear. I've been here 7 times and able to donate 2 for reasons due to king wait - over 2.5 hrs the first visit and left b/c still had not seen a nurse. the next day I came back and one person was nice enough to get me thru. the 3rd time back the nurse marked my arm ineligible to use due to 'discoloration' which was a result from inexperienced people that couldn't find a vein. now - keep in mind I have never EVER had a problem with any blood tests in my 48 years of existence. This place needs to be more welcoming, friendly, fix their kiosks, have people that speak clearly and loud enough to actually communicate!! Basically don't waste your time coming here!! read more

I would like to file a compliant about a supervisor Shenea on Sept.14th at the Melrose Park CSL Plasma location. After riding my bike to the plasma center after 10mins, I entered into the csl plasma and followed the questionare on the computer all before 5:00pm. My temperature and blood pressure was taken promptly afterwards. I was told my pulse was too high and that I would have to LEAVE. I was given no choice of having a pulse retake in the next 15mins. They said that they were ready to go home and didn't have time to wait on me. Shenea, the supervisor told her staff now to wait for my pulse to decrease. I am highly disgusted with lack of respect the staff have for the donors. I now only made $20 this week. Instead of the $60 I was suppose to receive. I might have to see how file this compliant to go until I can have justice do what happened. read more

Angiebee Since they changed the hours due to firing and getting rid of most of the staff that they did have become even more short handed and slower in service so I decided to go with octapharma plasma even though CSL has bigger bonus I would best describe my experience when I was going as some unprofessional workers unclean no tissue in the bathrooms and extremely slow service however I also realize that the turnover is so high due to low wages that they give the workers many of there good workers are being under valued as far as there pay even though the business has high profitability they giving the staff meager wages read more

Will get to the point as no one comes here for the see and be scene aspect. It is good enough staff seem nice enough. My only problem is the lines. Most employees I had interaction with had no respect for me or the fact that I was a first time donor and had no idea what the process was. I was in this place of complete disorganization and disrespect for over 6 hours. I was the 2nd person in the establishment but people who got there hours after left hours before me. They are short staffed and have complete lack of professionalism. You are talked down to as if you're not as worthy as the people who work there, even in instances of simple questions being asked. Their procedure process is different depending on which employee you encounter and most of the female employees are more interested in the men calling out their names to ask about their Facebook messages then people who are done donating and trying to get off of the damn machine. read more

i wasted an entire day and $5 coming here to donate. completed the enrollment process just to have an extremely rude employee disqualify me when i asked if i could have mail sent to a different address than on my ID(i have proof with me this is my address) because i'm temporarily staying with my sick grandfather to make sure he's ok. he's 91. i was polite and asked to speak to a supervisor, employee refused to allow me to, made security escort me outside, belittle me and threaten to arrest me. called and she hung up on me. called back until i got another employee and waited almost an hour to speak to a supervisor, who told me i needed a bank statement or rent bill from the ALTERNATIVE address dated from tomorrow or later to continue enrollment, no matter how many times i explained i just wanted to make sure i received my mail directly when i asked initially and that i was fine using my primary address. i explained i couldn't afford to get home as i didn't have any money with me and she said there was nothing she could do. i'm miles outside of chicago and this company is extremely dissatisfying. DO NOT DONATE HERE, THERE ARE ALTERNATIVE DONATION SITES IN AND AROUND THE CITY OF CHICAGO. thank you, that is all. postscript: workers are unprofessional and dangerous. introduction videos and paperwork explain that you will still have anticoagulant injected and the process will continue even if they puncture an artery, which is potentially fatal. read more
