You really do feel the opulence as you drive through the mirador entrance up this long driveway to get to the library. Free parking but it does get packed since many people also park here to access the hiking trails next to the library. This is a beautiful library and many people do come here to study as I noticed most tables were filled. However, there is a loud buzzing sound from the lights but I guess it becomes background white noise if you are used to it. Portraits of Mr. and Mrs. Brand, their family and how the library was are on the library walls so you can learn more about how it all started. The art gallery this time around has an exhibit from Thinkspace, featuring artwork of over 70 artists, on now until March 29, 2025. I really enjoyed the art pieces and took photos of the ones that really impressed me. The grounds features Brand Park, the Japanese tea house (closes early like 3pm), Doctor's House, which is a historical house, and a couple of hiking trails. Overall, a cool place to check out and just 15 minutes away north from downtown Glendale if you need to grab a bite to eat.

I brought my son along, and even though he got a bit tired, Eugenia was incredibly kind and attentive. She made sure he was still having fun and even helped me keep him engaged, which I really appreciated. I highly recommend these art workshops, whether you're going on your own or bringing your kids. It's a fun, welcoming, and creative environment for everyone.

The facility is very bright clean and has a very fresh feel about it. They offer classes for seniors which is only a dollar. You have to join and the membership is only $10 for one year which is a great bargain!!! I have met some very nice people. There is no parking lot for this facility so you park on the streets. Be aware of the time limit and parking and Glendale is notorious for giving out tickets if you don't curb your wheels.

The best part by far is the tour guide, Tony Rivera, who guides you through each part of the museum as if he was welcoming you into his own home. The loveliest of humans along with being a wealth of knowledge. Couldn't think of a better way to spend part of my weekend, cooling down during this maddening summer heatwave while chatting with Tony, who will make you feel like part of the family. The cost of the camp was cheaper then other camps . Now that they are in school . They are doing tutoring. The tutoring is 15 per session or 60 a month . The kids like it . There nice to them . They help them with homework and help them catch up on school work . The facility is big . They have a play structure and a big soccer field to play on . They do alot of different classes like music , ballet , tutoring , homework club etc. They do have a clean facility With plenty of parking . The office staff stephanie is really great and helpful to parents and kids . She is always trying to help .

You can play poker, man jong, rummy, dominoes, etc. You can join their book club or enjoy some gardening with other folks. There are a number of arts and crafts classes as well as dance classes. One thing that, to me, is impressive is that they have a computer lab. I think it's awesome to see older generations trying to increase their skills, whether it be typing, letter writing, email, or just learning to surf the web at all. I think I saw mention of there being latin dance, hula, salsa, dancing classes, yoga and tai chi were also some other activities. I'm telling you, there is something for everyone here. They have a spring fundraiser festival coming up. That should be fun. I bought a ticket for their In n Out lunch. They have a huge parking lot and tons of regulars. Inexpensive lunches are sold here daily. One of the last trips that they offered their seniors was to Catalina. There are so many people who come here. I can't imagine where they'd go if this place disappeared. Every now and then, I help one of their computer lab instructors with computer questions. It's amazing. Some of the questions are far more complex than how do you send an email. I'm really fond of this community center. I hope it'll continue to be a stable spot in the community for the seniors to come. My childhood park got a beautiful makeover, and this was my first time back since the renovation. I…read morewas six years old the first time I came to Fremont Park. I'm not usually a fan of change, but they redesigned it with such thoughtfulness and heart that I can't even protest. Just to name a few of the updates, it now has eight tennis courts, outdoor exercise equipment, four pickleball courts, a basketball court, a soccer field, a splash pad, and winding walking paths. For a snack shop at a park, the selection was pretty impressive and unexpectedly high quality. Instead of the usual generic freezer-bin options, they carried a surprisingly curated variety of international ice creams and treats that actually felt thoughtfully chosen. The freezer selection alone looked like a tiny specialty market hidden inside a recreation center. The entire setup also matched the atmosphere of the park itself: clean, sunny, well-maintained, and quietly elevated in that very Southern California way where even the snack shop somehow has aesthetic range.
