We went to a fourth birthday party at Dunsmore Park and it was a great place to spend a Sunday afternoon with several small children. We took two of our own and we all had a lovely time. Parking was easy, in a lot right near the playground. There were a few parties going on but the park was small enough that we had no trouble finding the right one. The park was great, well kept and inviting. Even the bathroom wasn't bad--I generally avoid park bathrooms but had to attend Leo, and this one wasn't disgusting. The playground was nice and our four-year-old Leo B. enjoyed himself running around the play structure. I liked that the party was set up at tables close to the playground, so we didn't have to spend the whole party fighting our child's desire to run and climb. He also liked being at the party, especially when the piñata came out. Our toddler had a good time, too, and took a little nap in his stroller after a walk on the smooth concrete path winding through the park grounds. We live pretty far from La Crescenta, so we won't be spending too much time here, but I really liked Dunsmore Park. It worked well as a party venue and was just an all-around pleasant place for a weekend family outing. We'd make good use of it if we were in the neighborhood. read more

This is a peaceful park. Located in La Crescenta, Dunsmore Park is a quiet place to enjoy nature, a walk, eating outside, relaxing, looking at birds, and generally enjoying the outdoors. This is one of Glendale/La Crescenta best parks. It sits in the foothills so the park has terraces and slopes which make it fun to roll down the hills ( not a opps oh my God type but on your side saying weeee!) The park has two playgrounds, one tennis court and a baseball field. It also has many great places to picnic and have small gatherings. I've been coming here with my children for 25+ years. This was always our go to park. Close to a bunch of to go restaurants like Yaki's, it makes it a great place to relax, unnwind and enjoy your lunch. They also have a wading pool (think it's still there) located between the two playgrounds, perfect for the little ones. read more

Great neighborhood park, right across the street from Dunsmore Elementary School. When I came on a misty January morning with my dog, there were only a handful of people there. The parking lot has one way in and one way out and plenty of street parking too. There's a baseball field, playgrounds, lots of trees, sidewalks and these crazy retaining walls that must have been built during the WPA days. I also saw people filling up sandbags in anticipation of some heavy rain. I saw several dog poop bag stations there as well. Dogs must be on a leash. Nice park with something for everyone. read more

Dunsmore Park embodies everything a local community park should be. It's spacious, green, well-kept and simply gorgeous. There are ample picnic tables surrounded by trees and a beautiful baseball diamond, complete with snack bar (open during games). There are jungle gyms free of graffiti, water fountains that work and clean restrooms; frankly, it's nice to be in a park that hasn't been overtaken by gangs or turned into a campground. But the icing on the cake is the beautifully preserved folk art. All the park buildings were decorated with found objects and rocks collected by the previous owner of the space (the property was a sanitorium until sold to the City of Glendale.) The most stunning piece is the wall along the northern edge of the park; follow along and see what unique objects you can find. No wonder it's been compared to the Watts Towers. Free parking in the lot and ample street parking as well. Keep up the good work, Glendale. read more

THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL PARK WITH A BEAUTIFUL VIEW OF THE VERDUGO AND SAN GABRIEL MOUNTAINS. Once in awhile I like to take the furry child to parks in adjacent areas and this is one of my favorites unless we run into a bunch of off leash psychotic dogs. There's lots of places to walk the dogs and it's a good place to take your small kids for play dates. There is plenty of parking in their lot. read more

Dunsmirr Park is a very nice park. It's my son's childhood park, because he used to attend the Dunsmore Elementary school right across from the Dunsmore School & we love that park ever since for many many many years. Out of all the parks in the area we love Dunsmore Park, even after so many years, because it brings back good memories . read more

Well if you live in the La Crescenta area, Dunsmore Park is neighborhood park is great for your little kids. It even has it own tennis court. This park is quite hidden unless you live in this neighborhood. It was very clean and had a large parking lot for park patrons. I noticed three different playground sets for children of all ages, particularly for the 2-5 range. I even noticed a restroom facility at this park. In addition, there is also a baseball field on the other side of this park. read more

Such a cute little park. My sister lives nearby snd we came for a birthday picnic. Lots of space and lots of kind people, soft grass and shady trees. The parking was also ample. Don't let the small looking parking lot fool you. Drive to the back area and there's plenty of space to park and benches to claim for your family. read more

Great park! Lots of shade and two different play areas for the kids. There is lots of space to run around. Hard to keep an eye on the kids if they are in different spots, so you'll have to make sure to keep them together. There are tons of picnic benches and clean bathrooms nearby. We came here on a Friday after work to let the kids run some energy out -- and stayed to eat dinner at one of the tables. Lovely setting on a nice warm summer night. My only complaint was that there was a group of mom's there who were too busy gossiping to pay any attention to their unruly daughters (about 6 of them), who were leaving trails of food and trash behind and being rude to other children ("this is MY play area"). Get off your tushies and watch your kids, ladies. read more

We had my sons first birthday here and man did we have fun! And the facility was so clean when we got there nd the park employee helps clean up when we were done. Renting this place out was the best thing we could have ever done! Thanks Dunsmore Park we will be back for more family events! read more

This is a nice park. Sometimes we come here on weekends to walk the dogs and I am happy to report that this park is clean and well kept. There is a nice playground for young children and a sports field where ball players can play catch. It is safe and green and just delightful. It is not the nicest place in the world but there is a good vibe on weekend mornings. I also see police cruisers parked here periodically which makes me feel good about how the Sheriff is creating a positive presence in the community. I love the tall pine trees here as well. They provide some much needed shade on these hot spring mornings. Parking is ample, at least on weekend mornings. Not sure about other times of the day. See you at the park! :) read more

Great hidden little park for kids and park parties. First time there and loved it! Definitely visiting more often.
