I told them that my system never kept up on hot days. They offered a bid and I thought they were totally fair on price. So we pulled the trigger. Especially helped to make my mind up as it was around 78 degrees outside the next day and the old system still didn't keep up. They gave me 2 bids and I opted for the more high efficiency bid. Jacob and Aaron arrived at the house to complete the job. My house being 100 years old, it wasn't the easiest and Jacob had to put in the O.T. to get it done. I was still skeptical that it would keep up. But this new system is actually amazing. We've already hit 90 degrees since the install and my thermostat never varied from 72 degrees where I set it. Im 100% satisfied with this company and would absolutely recommend them. Also when Aaron did the electrical, we had a light start blinking. I wasn't sure if it was from the work they did and so I called the company. Aaron came out and fixed my light and it just happened to be a random occurrence not caused by the work being done. From start to finish, the team was professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. The installation took place on a Wednesday and initially everything went smoothly. Unfortunately, the heat pump stopped working the following day. While that was certainly frustrating, what impressed me most was how quickly and professionally Ranger responded. They promptly sent a technician out to assess the issue and determined it was a failed GFCI. Their electrician, Lucas, quickly replaced the faulty component and resolved the problem. Throughout the entire process, everyone we worked with was outstanding. Miles took the time to explain our options and helped us make informed decisions. Mike the the tech showed up, looked at the furnace and said he had to go to his van to get his tools to track down the problem. He was asked here to give me a bid on a NEW furnace NOT to fix the old one. I asked him at what point does the free estimate end and the charges begin. We talked a little more and I told him that I have 4 companies coming out to give me bids for the new furnace and he said "4 bids...you called 4 companies"? I said yes because I wanted to shop for the best price. He again said "4 bids?? Would you go to 4 different doctors to get their opinions too?" I said yes I would. He gave me a nasty look and I said thank you for coming. Goodbye. He left mumbling something and I am sure it wasn't nice what he was mumbling.

This is an edited review…read more Today, 9/30, Micah from WES came out today and replaced the Gas Control Thermostat on our hot water tank. He took time to explain to me what had happened on their end and explained, in detail, what he was going to do and in less than 2 hours, we had hot water. Luckily for us the part was under warranty, and any service call fee and labor was waived. Micah and WES wanted to make us right, and I appreciate that. It's this kind of service that makes people go back. It won't be forgotten. I hope someone in management at WES reads this. Micah is top notch.

She was able to give me some pointers on where the issue might be and bingo, the failed inducer relay part was found. I'm arguably competent at DIY and was able to replace the part and be up and running overnight. People, support you local small businesses. Jim not only came out to our house to give us a comprehensive estimate, he was also the person who did the actual installation. I needed to replace our 18 year old American Standard heat pump but wasn't quite ready to replace our furnace. After thoroughly educating myself on heat pumps, I called 7 different HVAC companies for estimates. I was open to all the top brands. Some of the companies would not replace our heat pump without also replacing our furnace. A couple of companies said that they would flush out our old heat pump lines with nitrogen instead of replacing them. Most companies sent out a salesman to give us an estimate but they were not the ones who would install it. Yesterday Jim from MVH came out to our house and replaced our old heat pump with a new American Standard heat pump. He and his assistant Braden were at our house for over 9 hours doing the work. They meticulously installed our new heat pump, replaced our heat pump line with a new one and replaced the coil on our furnace. Jim removed our broken automatic air filter and designed a slot to fit a standard size disposable air filter. I think they went above and beyond with the installation and their clean up was impeccable. Jim installed a new "smart" thermostat which also qualified for a PSE rebate. Anne, the office manager was so helpful in answering questions I had and in completing the PSE rebate forms and all the paperwork. MVH also had competitive pricing and I saved money with the PSE rebates. Yes, I am very happy that I decided on Mountain Valley Heating and Air to install our new heat pump. This company was also the HVAC company we hired 18 years ago and I highly recommend them!

On the day of the installation, we received a text that they were on the way and everyone arrived on time. The process of removing the old equipment and replacing it with new went very well. The work took two days and the entire time, everyone was professional and respectful of our property. Drop cloths were placed to protect the floors and no construction debris was left afterward where the work was done. The conduits, pipes, wires and access holes were well crafted/positioned and look very good. Kudos to Juan and Jayden for a great job. The electrical contractor was very thorough and their work also looked great. During the entire process, the attitude of the staff was very good and the team worked well together. At the end of day 2, the new HVAC units were turned on. We were given a "walk through" of the work that was done, and what to expect.
