    Seafood platter
    Emily K.

To start I want to stay this is a local, old tavern bar so if that's not your vibe then this might not be for you. My family came here to get some dinner. The waitress was very friendly and nice. The service was a bit slow because there was only one waitress and almost a full house, so we were understanding. To eat I got the seafood platter and my husband got the prime rib sandwich. The prime rib sandwich was massive and very good! As for the seafood platter it was also really good with a variety of fried seafood. We also got some cheese curds for an appetizer and they were delicious.

Booth sitting empty for 25 + minutes while I waited for a table to eat at.

Have been in here several times, but only at the bar. Today, I decided to have lunch despite they're being a booth sitting empty for over 25 minutes, I was told someone was waiting for it. I don't know if reservations are required, but I find it hard to believe. I may return for a drink here and there, but have no intentions of ever eating here no matter how good the food may be!

This historic place is full of charm with pretty great food, friendly people and lots of hunting trophies. The cheese curds are a must order...they melt in your mouth. The burgers are huge and loaded with fresh onions so much so that it barely fits in your mouth. The fries are delicious and full of flavor. A great place to stop for a great selection of beer on your way to or from Door County!

Don't let the name fool you. This is not a bougie place. It's in a grey stone building but it's a far cry from a castle. You need to enter through an alley and I was a bit apprehensive. We stepped inside and we're transported to a local hunting lodge from years ago, complete with taxidermied birds and animals. The food was excellent. We ordered the prime rib sandwich that they're known for and the 1000 cheeseburger as well as the best onion rings I've ever had. Everything was delicious! One drawback was that sandwiches are a La carte but where can you get a prime rib sandwich under $20 anywhere but here? So good. Service was great. Ambiance is local dive worth going to because the food is darn good.

    Potato skins

Food was good but uses American cheese on potato skins. Appetizers were cut in very large pieces. Ambiance was a little dirty but ok. Gambling was great it included pull tabs and quarter pusher. Service was great.

Nice environment, friendly staff. They were very busy, so out food took long to got serve. Cheese curds wit beer are delicious. Steak sandwich was more flavorful than the prime sandwich. Steak sandwich one person eats and the prime sandwich is good for two, there is a lot of meat!

It's a big slab of meat on a sammich. YOM YOM.

Oh dang, that prime rib sandwich - it's just the best thing. I don't come to Door County often, and now I might have to just to get my hands on it. It's big. It's full of meat. It's so freaking delicious. The restaurant itself? Not much to look at. When you pull up, you'll swear you're in the wrong place. And if you've got kids in the car, you might be a little nervous about bringing them inside. And hey, if you're a friend to animals, you might even be put off by the hundreds of dead animals hung as decorations. BUT. That sandwich. Oh, jeebus. Perfectly cooked prime rib sliced thick and sandwiched between two buttery slabs of Texas toast. A cup of au jus for dipping. It's killing me that I just ate this two days ago, and there are so many days between me and my next one. Service was awesome. Staff was friendly, accommodating, and cool with my kids. Blah blah blah. Gimme that meat.

Went here on a recommendation from a local bartender. Best. Advice. EVER! I love a down & dirty establishment and this place fits the bill. Domestic taps, old school beer signs on the wall and dozens of taxidermy-ed (taxidermied?) eyes staring at you the whole time. Order the Prime Rib Sandwich and curds. 'Nuff said. I can't wait to go back.

    Oops, we ate the rolls

We arrived late on a Friday night, close to 9 as we stopped to watch the sunset at the Quarry Park. This place is popular. We nabbed the last/only open table. There was only one server on duty -- Ashley. She busted her buns, was attentive and provided excellent service. She totally rocked and I'm calling her super server for not missing a beat. Thank you Ashley for making this a great dining experience. Service was excellent. We were in town for the 4th oh July holiday weekend. We've dined here before and it's one of our favorite Sturgeon Bay restaurants. If we lived here we'd be regulars. Friday nights the specials are prime rib and fish fry. We ordered cheddar cheese jalapeño poppers to start. Breaded and deep fried. Who can say no? Yummy. My husband ordered the blue bill. If it's on the menu it's his first choice. It comes with bread basket, choice of potato, coleslaw, rye bread and 6 pieces of fish. The fish are pan fried and could have used a few more minutes in the pan to crisp up. I love prime rib and seek out restaurants that serve it. Kudos to Greystone for having perfectly rare prime rib at 9 pm. Warning! This is a huge 2-inch thick king cut piece of meat that can easily serve a family of four. Of course I ordered it, knowing that the leftovers will make me just as happy as tonight's dinner. It comes with bread basket, salad. Choice of potato and au jus that is so good you could drink it. Nirvana. The best part is they included a small au jus with my take away box to have with my left overs. If you live here go often. If you're driving thru or visiting don't miss a chance of dining here. Good food, excellent service, full stomachs.

Classic Wisconsin tavern with dead animals and fish on the walls. Fun selection of beer and great bar food.

They also have RC Cola on tap, which I don't think I've ever seen anywhere else. Cheers!

It has that classic, no-frills Wisconsin charm with a prime spot right on the water. We loved grabbing a few drinks and unwinding after a day of adventures. There is always something happening: fish frys, fish boils, a food truck, and live bands to keep the energy up. Tons of outdoor seating meant we never had to fight for a good view. Just a heads-up: it is a Pepsi/RC place, so Coke fans might need a moment to emotionally prepare. I tried the Door County Cherry Mojito and wow, highly recommend! Sweet, refreshing, and very on-brand for the area. If you are looking for a casual spot to kick back and enjoy the sunset with a drink in hand, this is it.

When we were shopping elsewhere in Door County and a local mentioned that their favorite supper club in Door County is Nightingale, we knew we were in for a treat. An indeed we were! In true supper fashion, we began our experience in the bar for cocktails. I was delighted to find a traditional old fashioned on the menu and so that's what I ordered. It was made with Woodford and in traditional style, no wash. It was pitch perfect. Once we transitioned to the dining room, we ordered whitefish cakes for an appetizer, which were served with a perfectly savory red pepper remoulade. They were delicious. Each evening they have a nightly special. We were there on a Wednesday. The Wednesday special is the Chef Special, which is the chef's choice of unique creation. The evening I was there was a pasta dish with a creamy pesto and a balsamic drizzle. It was divine. Throughout the evening, from the bar to hostess to the dining room, the service was lovely. The prices are very reasonable for a supper club and the atmosphere is all cozy candlelight. Get to it!
